Yep. Just go there. Get there when they open because there will be a line, but they are very efficient and move quickly! Jalapeño bun was like a popper in a roll, cinnamon roll was my favorite, bacon egg and cheese braid was a family favorite! Great place for a quick breakfast/dessert. You just walk up to the counter pick out what you want, pay for it, then go find a spot to sit. They have a nice little back deck for you to sit with your dog or let your kids run around and play. It's an old house with your standard little bakery/coffee shop with local art, an antique smell, and sweet down to earth character. We had their veggie quiche, chocolate chip cookie, lemon bar, raspberry rhubarb crisp, and another breakfast item that had tomatoes, basil, spinach, and cream cheese. It reminded me of a fancy hot pocket with cream cheese instead of mozzarella. It was all VERY good. The only thing was that the quiche and hot pocket thing wasn't heated up all the way, but it was still good. Our favorite of the little desserts was the Alaskan raspberry rhubarb crisp. The chocolate chip cookie wasn't anything special, I'd save your money and calories for something else. It's quick, cheap, and delicious. Definitely worth stopping by! read more

Two Sisters Bakery is a must stop if you are in Homer for more than a day. They are yummy for breakfast and lunch, and have delectable baked goods. For my stop we had breakfast and I enjoyed a fresh onion bagel with a generous portion of cream cheese. It was baked evenly and full of flavor. My friend had the biscuits a gravy (special) and it was a generous portion. It looked like soup - dumplings. But she enjoyed it very much. She described the gravy as savory with the biscuits as savory. We shared a fresh chocolate bun that was still warm. Staff are friendly and eager to help find you the right thing to suit your needs. Coffee is bottomless. There is indoor seating and also an outdoor patio. We also took chocolate chip cookies and peanut butter cookies with us for our trip to Seldovia and they were delightful!! read more

I wish I realized Two Sisters Bakery was also serving dinner! Visiting from Buffalo, New York we stopped at Two Sisters twice in two days. The first visit was before we took a stroll on the beach to try to get a scone and coffee. Unfortunately they were all out of scones so we ended up with some coffee for our afternoon walk. This is a super cool location with a great atmosphere, kind of hipster, loved all the fliers on the outside wall with various events in the area. I love the sense of community this establishes right off the bat. The inside, oh my goodness, smelled amazing. I smelled the delicious aroma of various soups and even though it was pretty warm outside, I found myself craving soup! That's just how good they smelled!!! I couldn't help but notice this building also serves as some kind of place to stay -- Suites by the Beach. Walking around the outside I was instantly relaxed thanks to the nearby beach front and small bench outside. I also loved the artwork on the walls inside the bakery from local artists. Again, love the sense of community. Our next visit consisted of an early morning stop (like 7am or 7:30am) before we drove to Talkeetna. I ordered a bit more this time around, coffee, quiche, and a scone. All of them were great. The scone was perfectly moist and the quiche was decent, good combination of egg and veggies. Should I come back to the area, I'd love to check out their dinner menu and perhaps add that fifth star. Until then, keep doing what you're doing, everything was fantastic! read more

Two Sisters is a hip bakery tucked away in a little historic nook of Homer. As soon as you pull up to Two Sisters, you just KNOW this place is gonna be good. The ambiance is excellent- the kind of place you want to while away the hours sharing conversation an coffee. The coffee, which is good doesn't compare to their ABSOLUTELY amazing baked goods. They were some of the best I've ever had. The lemon bar with currant was lovely. The ham and cheese turnover thingie was really tasty. So why only 4 stars? Well, cause neither of them were what I ordered. The girl who took my order must have not have had her morning caffeine because she botched my order and I didn't get what I wanted. Since I got take-out, I didn't discover her mistakes until I was across town. But several hours later, on my drive back to Anchorage as I was inhaling my sticky bun, which I was saving for the road, I forgave her. Two Sisters sticky buns are EASILY best I've ever eaten. You know how sometimes when you eat a sticky bun, there are dry parts that aren't covered with that yummy sticky goo? Two Sisters sticky buns are SATURATED in buttery, sugary goodness and nuts. A knife and fork is recommended. Which makes consuming them while driving down the Seward Highway challenging. You will NOT want to share, even though they're huge-- GET YOUR OWN-- and keep your hands to yourself. If you can bring yourself to share some with your sweetheart, then it MUST be love, because those buns of stickiness are heaven. When you go to Homer DO NOT MISS TWO SISTERS. Seriously, if you do, you're a damn fool and I mean it! Baked goods get an impossible 6 stars for perfection. Customer service gets a 3 1/2 for friendly airheadedness. read more

Omg! What a great find! My Husband and I found this place on our morning stroll. Stoped in and ordered the blue cheese bacon mushroom scone, ham and cheese croissant and kiwi strawberry scone. All were freaking fantastic. You can see the ladies in the back working the dough by hand just how I do it at home. We took our coffees and treats out to the back porch to look at the ocean and breathe the fresh sea air. I highly recommend this place for a homemade early morning treat! It's clear this place is an institution for campers and locals alike in Homer as by 9 am on a Saturday a line was forming out the door. We beat the rush by about 3 people (even though when we arrived almost every table was taken!) and picked up some of the last jalapeno cheddar scones (the next batch was still in the oven). By the time you get to order you have been breathing in the intoxicating smells of cinnamon and fresh bread while staring into the case of piping hot baked goodness, you will be ready to take one of everything. Don't let your eyes be bigger than you're stomach or you'll have breakfast for days. The jalapeno cheddar scone is to die for. If they are making it that day, you must try it. The scone is doughy, not crunchy, and the insides are stuffed with fresh cut jalapenos and moltant cheddar cheese. I split one with my friend and we almost took a ruler out to be sure we divided it EXACTLY 50/50 (though I tried for 51/49). Her fiance ordered the cinnamon bun which is enormous, sticky and cinnamony. It is truly delicious, but completely filling. The service is a bit slow, but not because of incompetence. Everyone employed at the breakfast hour was hard at work either making hot breakfasts, re-stocking the front case or clearing finished dishes from the room. While the service may not be to an exact science, I don't recommend visiting this place if you don't have time to sit and enjoy the ambiance. The home has a southern charm to it, with hard wood floors, different chairs and tables throughout the room, a side covered patio and an outdoor porch over-looking a sweeping lawn and mountain views. It is definitely a place to sip on a cup of coffee while you plot your next moves for the day. Two Sisters is a destination spot in Homer, if you don't visit while you're there, it's like going to Arizona and not visiting the Grand Canyon.. that's a long drive for nothing! read more

Charming is the prefect word to describe this food boutique. From the outside cottage look, to the scenic backyard, I felt like I was in a cafe from a fairytale. The food is unbelievably beautiful! Everything is roasted and plated to perfection at dinner, fitting well to the fairytale theme. I really enjoyed my panko Mac and cheese, since it was gooie. I had the biscuits and gravy. It came in a large cup. For a moment I was stunned. I didn't order a big gulp. There were two crusted biscuits drowning in wonderful rich sausage gravy. Really great ambiance and selection of baked goods/brunch items. We only stopped in to get dessert and wound up getting three different types of cupcakes. They looked phenomenal. We were definitely excited to chow down and partake in the deliciousness, but they were nothing special. Now, the only thing that stands out to me is how they looked. I think this might be my favorite place in the whole world. The baked goods are so fresh. The staff is beyond friendly and the merch is also very cool( i bought the tote bag). A hidden gem in Homer Alaska. My family and I have been eating here for years. Make sure to go early as they make a limited quantity of food and often run out. Everything on the menu is delicious and the staff are very friendly. Great stop for a loaf of bread excellent bowl of soup or sandwich. A must stop in Homer! The bakery is not only very cute, but incredibly delicious! We shared a cheddar jalapeño bun (just the right amount of spice and SO much cheese), sticky bun (out of this world, you have to try), raspberry scone (somehow not dry, even Allison Roman would love this) and the chocolate bread which was sooo delicious and even better than my normally preferred pain au chocolat. The white trash loaf is also amazing and tastes just like the bread my grandparents and I made growing up, but even more delicious. Very affordable prices. There are a lot of places to choose from in Homer but this one was suggested by a resident. We went there going on 10:30 am and it appeared 1/2 the bakery was sold out. We got there just in time as people were leaving and a group came in behind us. We got our bakery and coffee/tea to go as we were heading out of Homer back to Anchorage. We had the breakfast "pie/scone" which had egg cheese and bacon. They were savory and delicious. For our sweet tooth we had a blueberry scone and chocolate bread. Both tasted awesome and the chocolate bread was a yeast bread shaped into a round a little bigger than a softball. It had chocolate chips through out and sprinkled with salt for the appeasing combo of sweet and salty which hit the spot for me. Sadly, I wasn't sharing. The only bad part about visiting eating establishments while on vacation is that most of them are a one time stop. IF we ever get back to Homer and IF this business is still there we will buy a bag full to bring back to wherever we are staying. read more
