New company's interest seems to want to take advantage of employees who stayed by overextending their responsibilities, while attempting to automate as much of the gym as possible resulting in hygiene practices completely falling off, upkeep of the building falling to passionate gym goers while revolving management seems vested solely in keeping asset inventory for the inevitable sale of their neglected and decrepit gyms.

That morning I woke up tired from my long working weekend and wanting to just go back to bed. Sean texted me saying he was looking forward to helping me meet my goals, and sent a thumbs up pic. I couldnt just not go. When I got there he talked to me and walked me thru how things work there. He took it easy on me for my first day,( and I told him I was 6 months out from back surgery)..but it was also a great workout. What I didnt like is that it isnt really structured to be a group atmosphere, as everyone goes in and hits each of the 9 stations on their own. There was music playing but it was kind of...quiet. I thought you have to be taller or bigger to be able to train in this. Years later, I decided to reach out to Sifu Heintzman for class schedule and came to check out on the class one evening. I came back again few weeks later, with intention to ask questions, but Sifu asked me to join the group and participate in the free workout that night. I joined the gym after the class. Now I really enjoy coming to class because I always learned something new and both the students & instructors are super nice & helpful. Sometimes, work & other thing in life got in the way to prevent me from getting to class, but I try to make it the best I can. I highly recommend Seven Star Gym for everyone who wants to get a great workout, learn self defense techniques, and be a part of this Kung Fu family. But my experience was after signing up for a free class someone contacts me via text. They are asking some questions just general and seeing if I had questions so seemed off to a decent start. When I arrive for the class. They immediately wanted my id and some fitness background information as I went to wrap and put on my gloves they said I couldn't wear my own gloves. I had to wear 9round gloves. So I get told that they would do a loaner pair today for me to take the class and then when we were done if I signed up they would "give me my own with my sign up" the way this was worded was exactly like that. . Well there is not any type of stretch we just jump onto the first station as you guessed there are 9. It's just flowing through each station hiit style. I much prefer bag and partner work. Anyway at station 8 my legs were cramping and I was told I could stretch after .. After it was immediately time to try to sign me up on the spot not stretch. First of all the gloves that I was told I'd be "given" w my sign up actually cost $150- but $75 if I signed up right then and there. The overall pricing is high and it's not really worth the money imo. Following the class I got a text from the original girl who I had been communicating with and was there at the time of my class which was fine. Following that I got a text from someone else who works there who wasn't there telling me how great I did etc.. (weird) and then after that another msg using someone's " ring name" It's an overpriced cardio class for people who want to box but not really. It's not form/skill oriented but if you're solely looking to switch it up and drop some weight it would probably be okay for you.
