I was in the area, house sitting for a friend & I decided to treat myself with a pedicure. This place was super close & the reviews were pretty good! It's located in a small strip of businesses with minimal parking. I was surprised that it was so quiet on a Saturday afternoon & that they only had 3 nail techs available. They offer three different pedicures all with their own pricing. My nail tech was very nice but didn't ask me any questions about what I wanted other than which pedicure. I wanted a basic pedicure with no polish. My tech trimmed my nails way too short. They were not filed with care, they were crooked & I didn't get any cuticle oil at the finish. The experience was over & done with pretty quickly but the massage was nice. Here's where it gets a little odd; the only payment option given to me was to Venmo directly. Okay, no big deal for me because I HAVE that app but what happens when someone doesn't? I don't recommend this place for any kind of specialty work but if you're in a pinch.. MAYBE. I've enjoyed making this my go-to nail salon, since I moved to cedar park in January 2022. It's conveniently located, kind of on the edge of cedar park before you get back into Austin, next to Alzer's BBQ on Cypress Creek just a few yards from the corner with Bell Blvd (what used to be surface level old 183.) They're super clean, everyone has to wash their hands right when they walk in, and the air is well ventilated and doesn't smell like chemicals. The people who work here are friendly and speak English well enough that they're capable of following any picky requests or preferences, and they're good at intuiting when you'd like to chat, or when you just want to watch one of 3 TVs, or chat with a friend you've brought with you. The TVs are always set to a variety of cooking shows and HGTV renovation type shows. And best of all, they're very detailed and precise and careful. I get gel manicures and I have to be careful how that's removed. Just a Dremel is fast and easier on the tech, but do that 4 manicures in a row and you might not have much nail left. You need to ask, but they will just scruff up the top shiny layer a teeny bit and then soak your nails off. That's time consuming, but important for my nails anyway. I'm impressed with the range of normal nail polish colors, and they're not drying out in the bottle. They've a very good range of gel polishes, too. I did one dip manicure and it was very nice-- but I really don't like dip nails on me. I also get a regular polish pedicure. You don't need to make an appt, and of course they have busy times where you might, on a walk-in, need to wait up to 15 minutes to get started. Usually that's in the evening or on weekends. But I normally come around lunch time on a weekday and have the place to myself. No pressure and no upsell, to really, and I've been perfectly happy with the "express" pedicure that is, I think, $20 or $25. I don't get much out of fancy scrubs, hot rocks, massage to my calves, etc. Will point out though, when the place is quiet, I've been treated to a really relaxing and delightful neck, shoulder and upper back massage. I always leave a good tip and I always kick myself for forgetting to bring cash, which is gently encouraged on a sign at the cash register. Helps them make more income, not having to pay a credit card fee. And they're so kind! They remember me with a smile and even gave me a little bag of candy the week before Halloween. All around, I've liked this place so much that it's my new go-to nail salon up here in CP. And the parking is ample, it's easy to get back out of the lot and onto Cypress Creek, and there's a CVS about 20 yards away. I recommend this business highly!!! read more

I had one of my worst experiences at TX Nails this past week. i have been going to them for many years and have never had an issue. This past weekend I got my SNS done and literally within 3 days all my nails were chipped and looked ugly. Since I was out of town traveling I could not go immediately to get it fixed. But I sent a text and let my nail person know immediately. I would have Atleast expected a credit back, or a credit for me to use for next time. Went there as they opened today (Tuesday). First impressions: awesome color selection. Friendly staff. Super clean. My daughter and I both got pedicures. $30 sport pedicure that was 2nd from the cheapest and probably one of the best pedicures I have ever had. I am super curious I'm what one of their deluxe pedicures will bring. I have a regrown toenail from an injury that is not the prettiest and still has issues. They treated me with such care. Didn't hurt me at all and let me soak a little longer since it had been a while since my last pedicure. My daughter also got pink and white solar nails (full set $35). They look amazing and didn't hurt her once! Overall...this is my new nail salon. Good prices and wonderful service!! read more

I was referred here by an avid fan and TX Nails and Spa did not disappoint. I'm particular about how I prefer my nails done and without my mentioning a word, it was all done. My manicurist, Amy, was very detail-oriented and took the time to ensure my nails were in tip top fashion. The sides and cuticles of all my nails were well manicured. My party of four came in on a whim and were well taken care of. Their staff is always friendly and inviting. I found this place on Groupon...$17 shellac manicure. On their Yelp page, they were offering a 10% discount on any pedicure. Seemed good to me...at the time :/ Pros: -They have a decent amount of shellac colors to choose from -They have a decent amount of regular nail polish. -The girl that did my shellac applied it PERFECTLY! There isn't a speck of polish out of place. -The same girl polished my toes and again, she did a great job! -They line their pedi bowls Cons: -The woman that started my pedicure couldn't speak English so another girl had to translate. -The regular pedicure consisted of a less than 4 minute leg rub, not a massage(!) a rub, for BOTH legs. And yes, I timed it! (I do a better job putting lotion on after a shower.) -My lip is still throbbing from having it waxed :/ -No one offered me a complementary beverage I'd come back only if there was a Groupon being offered and only if the same girl could do my mani/pedi. read more

I love salons that make an effort to not only get clients in the door but to keep them coming back! TX Nails & Spa was successful in just that. I purchased a Groupon from them because the location was so close to my home. They welcomed me the minute I walked in the door and offered a complimentary drink. The salon is small but clean. I had an appointment for a gel manicure and they immediately handed me a cute little basket with no less than 10 wheels of polish options. Randy did my manicure and he did a great job which included a neck and arm massage. On my departure I was given a punch and discount card! The only drawback was the overhead music. Stay away from this salon. I just went there yesterday for a pedicure and eyebrow wax. The pedicure went well, but she burned my eyelid with the wax. It didn't show up until I went home and I noticed my eyelid was hurting more than usual. Today my eyelid is swollen and splotchy red with the burn. I plan on going back there today to show them and say that I'll never come back here. Plus I'll let anyone who asks where to go to stay as far away from their salon. 1 star because the pedicure was ok. read more

Unfortunately, I went here because the wait at Mirada was too long. BAD CHOICE! Things that were unsatisfactory: 1. Eyebrow wax. The day of was fine, but the next day and for 2 weeks after I had huge red welts above both eyebrows. It was so painful and hideous. I have never had that reaction to a wax in my life. 2. Pedicure. I got a French shellack, which we all know should last almost 2 weeks without chipping or anything right? Wrong! 2 days later the white chipped off of two nails. 3. Painful manicure. Again with the shellack. It chipped off in about 4 days on one nail. The worst part, however, was the painful cuticle/skin trimming around the nails. She "trimmed" so much skin that it started bleeding and made a sore for about a week. Overall, terrible experience. The only thing good was the fact that I only paid $55 for all 3 services. That should have warned me right away. I will not be back. read more

Will never go here again. She cut all of my naturally long nails off and cut all of my skin off too. I asked for fake nails and i showed the the DND holographic pink. She cut my sort of long natural nails so deep and they usually shorten your nails before they put on the fake nails so i didn't think anything of it and she started cutting the skin around my finger tips which i thought was weird but I wasn't going to hound her about how to do her job. Then she started painting on regular pink nail polish and i didn't notice until she finished the first hand that she wasn't putting on fake nails because i was with a friend who was sitting next to me also getting her nails done. Then I told her and she was like "oh you wanted fake nails?" and i was very nice and just said it's fine as long as they're going to be pink holographic. She said yes. Then she finished painting them pink and put the top coat on and cut my skin around my finger tips AGAIN and told me to go wash my hands. Then when i came back she got up and went to go give a little girl a pedicure....So my friend who was getting her nails done next to me asked the lady doing her nails if that lady was going to paint on the holographic and she went and talked to her. Come to find out she wasn't even going to put on the holographic!! THEN she comes back after 25 minutes, buffs my nails down and then adds the holographic "powder" on. And she starts cutting AGAIN!!!!!!!! And i had repeatedly said "ow ow ow". Then she tells me to go wash my hands and when I'm walking back to sit down she has the tool in her hands to cut my skin AGAIN!! It's like she has some weird obsession with this tool I don't get it. I was like "oh no you don't have to do that anymore" and she like checked all of my fingers and then stopped....like IM BLEEDING???!!!! It was so weird and it is like a fear of mine to have cuts on my fingers which I now have 1-2 on every single finger. It feels weird to touch things and pick things up and I am FURIOUS. I would only give it one star, but I've been here before and they've done a wonderful job. Until today. My nails look bad. I'm not great at painting my nails, I'll leave streaks and stripes and nail polish on my cuticles. So I came here because I have a wedding to attend and wanted my nails to look great. I could've saved my $40 and done it myself because it looks just as bed. Seriously. I'm not coming back here. My toes and fingers look like I did them at home. I'm very disappointed. I had to request a third layer of nail polish because he left streaks and bumpy layers. I showed the lady doing my toe nails thinking she wouldn't make the same mistakes, I was wrong. My toe nails were filed unevenly. And the polish on my toes are streaked as well. I know it's a difficult color to work with because it's so light but that I why I came to professionals. I am so surprised with the one star ratings! My chiropractor's office is next door and I needed my shellac manicure redone while I waited for my appointment. The gentleman that did my manicure did a fantastic job. I don't use that term loosely as it is hard to do a fantastic job with shellac. Usually, the polish isn't far enough to the cuticle or it's not covering the entire nail. Both of these problems weren't an issue when he finished up. He was very polite, offered me a drink AND gave me a back/neck massage when he was done! I've never had a back massage with a manicure. It was very pleasant. Plus, the shellac was ONLY $23! I was so shocked because he did such a great job and was charging $7 less than most of the competition. I know this great experience wasn't a fluke because my sister and I just got our nails done there yesterday. They did a fantastic job, AGAIN. The two technicians that worked on us did a beautiful job. They were quick, meticulous and polite. A hard combination when you are getting your nails painted. They both gave us a massage, again! My sister was very pleased with her nails and I was pleased that no matter what technician I get, they will do a great job. Plus, their shellac color selection is HUGE.
