Should have checked Yelp first. I've just moved here and came to TX Nails when someone said they had heard good things. If this salon is good by Texas standards, I'm in trouble. The bad with the pedicure: As she filed my toenails, she looked at me, not my toes, so they're weirdly shaped. She left cuticles hanging. She glopped the polish on and got it all over my skin and didn't use a little brush with polish remover to even try to correct it. The bad with the manicure: I had gel polish on, and rather than soak my polish off while doing my pedicure, their policy seems to be to aggressively file off existing gel after a quick minute of soaking. Ow! And that weakens already weakened nails. She didn't ask what shape or how long I wanted my nails, and when I asked her to please trim them, she said, "Short nails no good, we do long nails in Texas." I frankly don't care; they're my nails and I wear them short because they're the most flattering and functional that way. She got polish all over my skin - never good with gel polish. She cut me when trimming my cuticles, but still managed to leave hangnails. Why this place doesn't get 1 star (ie, what's good about it): the woman was friendly, even though she's bad at her job; the pedicure massage was good; they do a nice shoulder massage with a manicure; and the facility was decent by strip mall standards. read more

I've been here several times just for an eyebrow wax. Most of the time it's just fine, but today not so much. I waited for a while, which was ok since I didn't have an appointment, but I was rushed through the whole thing. The only words spoken to me during my very brief session were about getting more stuff done even though I made it clear that I just needed an eyebrow wax today. She did just the bare minimum and didn't even add any numbing cream at the end. Frustrating. I didn't give it one star because I have had other slightly better experiences with this place in the past. Not going back. read more

They did a horrible job on my gel nails. Was going to charge me again to fix it. The owner was arguing with me over the phone about how I was wrong and I needed to pay to have it corrected. I tried this place out three times and this is my final thoughts. This spa is located right across the street from where I live so I loved the location. Close to home when you have small children is a huge positive. The first time I went I got a pedicure and it was a positive experience besides my nail tech digging into my broken toe. But I always have that issue. My toe healed over kinda weird so I always have a bunch of calcium build up in there.. it's not her fault. Then the second time I went was also decent. No music playing or anything but I know not everyone is into that when you're relaxing. It's the last time I went that makes me not want to go back. I got my daughter a mani pedi and myself.. my toes were good, but my mani was just done so sloppy. I got a basic French tip SNS manicure and I'm a cosmetologist myself so I suppose my expectations are much higher but my nails just ended up a powdery mess. The pink was covered in white powder and she didn't inspect the sides of my nails which weren't fully covered. So I had these little awkward areas along the sides that I wasn't impressed. I would come back for a pedi and the convenient spot but the lack of professionalism aka speaking in another language and laughing while a customer is right in front of you is just bad business. read more

Most the time when I get a pedicure they barely take any time doing it and rush to move on to the next but not here. Perfect location and great prices. Been going here for several years. Anna, Amy and Randy are the bomb. Best massages and the quality they put out on manis/pedis/waxing. I love that you get a neck and shoulder massage with every mani. I have been to just about every nail salon in Cedar Park/Leander and none of them compare to TX. Plus they have remodeled and the shop is adorable. I LOVE that Food Network and HGTV are always on! I don't always get offered a beverage, but it's not like I'm going there to drink - but if you ask for one they are quick to accommodate. Chairs are nice too. Never allow Kim to do your nails. She filed my nails down by my cuticles that my nail split / broke. I went back in to discuss what they could go to make this right but I was told that this filing method was proper procedure. I will never go to anther nail salon! I went here after getting a groupon a while ago and my shellac manicure didn't start chipping until after three weeks and even then it didn't chip much. They have really good prices and they do such a great job. I always get the deluxe pedicure ($35) and it's amazing. They always take their time with you and I appreciate that. read more

I don't usually do bad reviews and try to be grateful for every work any nail tech does to me -- but I am a regular customer, the outcome of my nails are usually great. I went 6 days ago, to get a French acrylic manicure and it was the most god awful result. After trying to correct her a few times, I left with air bubbles on my nails, a cut on my finger, dull spots, and lifting immediately. I noticed all the white spots under the nails due to lifting. One nail was about to come off 2 days later, so I went back, unfortunately the same lady did my nails, she consistently tried to force me to believe that the "white spots under my nails are on my actual nail bed". I am aware of how my nails look like, and they definitely do not have those spots. I took 2 nails off in front of her to prove that it was lifting and she GLUED THEM BACK on. Throughout this entire 2nd service, all she did was remove my top coat and reapplied it. She continued to tell me that my nails have white spots on them naturally. I attend beauty school so I am aware of how nails should be done correctly. 6 days later (today) my entire nails on my right hand are completely gone and have fallen off. I left this 2nd session not satisfied at all and probably not going to return again if service like this is going to continue. Update: I went back and got my nails beautifully fixed for free by someone else! Thank you so so much. read more

I have been there 3 times for pedicures and each time was perfect. I always ask for Randy because he is the best. Very gentle with your feet, and wonderful foot/leg massage. The chairs are comfy and I love that they recline to your preference. I don't use the chair massage option, too rough on my back, but I have this problem with all massage chairs. If you aren't picky and you want to just get in & get out, then these women are pretty good. I've been here several times and have had French tips (powder) done by Cindy I'd say the best technician is "Cindy" she is good if you just want quick nails done. I've also had a pedicure there, and I must say that it was probably the best pedicure I've ever had! They seem to put a lot more effort into the pedicures for some reason. Anyway, I only gave them 4-stars because I think they need to pretty-up the salon a bit, and I think all the techs need to be more consistent with each other's work. My first 2 visits were pretty good. I get a manicure with the gel polish. Usually $18 then tip. This time was different. I waited 15 minutes but that was ok I didnt have an appointment. Its my turn and we get started....oh wait my lady needs to answer the phones. Ok done with that and we start again, oh wait now a personal phone call. Then someone comes in and needs an eye brow wax. Are you kidding me! I just need a manicure and freakin polish put on. I sat longer for them then for myself. Time to pay....I find out after she checks out the cash in my wallet its $25. Literally she looked in my wallet as I waited for her to answer me. Then says oh for youuuu $25. That would be ok if I hadnt paid a different amount the last 2 times. We got in quickly (clearly this is why they had opening!) and the technician barely even spoke to us, but gossiped across the room to her coworkers instead. they seemed nice enough but did not do good work - we also only got ONE coat of polish! she scrubbed my heel raw and cut a nail so low i bled! VERY overpriced and yes, it did hurt! I agree with Elizabeth R,'s review, sadly. they didn't make us wait though, they were very fast, but to the point that you felt like they just wanted to get it over with and get you out.
