We had a great time here and found a beautiful tree. Some of the alpacas are a bit dominating to others so it got a little nerve wracking trying to feed them with a toddler. There was a lot of flies at the truck with Santa in it which everyone wanted to take photos in so that was a bit gross but short of that it was a very enjoyable experience. My two year old went on their little train ride which was hilarious since she wasn't expecting that and I'm not sure I was either lol. She came back white knuckled and happy so it was fine. Lots of smoke from the fire pit made it hard to really smell any of the trees. It does add a nice touch to the place though and keeps folks warm which is a plus on these cooler December days. Prices on trees were quite fair (they are precut only this and possibly next year for many they have but still worth purchasing) and the one we got was perfect though they didn't trim the bottom as I asked them to do so we had to do that at home which was not anticipated but we got it done. I look forward to coming here next year. I usually go to Calloways and I wanted to find a local smaller, less commercial place to get my trees from and this one fits the bill. Next time I will be asking that they secure our tree since 380 is a nightmare when it's not gridlock traffic and you're trying to go 50mph down a windy road lol. read more

We went to see the alpacas and take a few pics. We were only there about 30 mins cause it was so hot out. It's very nice that they open up the farm to allow visitors. Take a couple quarters so you can buy food for the alpacas. read more

Came here with some friends to do alpaca yoga! The yoga instructor was great. I enjoyed her class a lot. I also appreciated that she stressed that if you wanted to stop to take pictures and stuff that was totally fine! As long as you don't bother anyone else. The alpacas are so cute and I loved being able to hand feed them. We ended the class by getting a glass of lavender Prosecco and walking through the grounds. We bought some lavender bath salts before we left as well. Highly recommend. read more

Great family friendly venue! You can feed (and maybe pet) the alpacas. They do all kinds of educational tours and retreats. They do festivals ... don't miss the Christmas one on Black Friday! They offer craft classes (like soap making using the beeswax from their hives, and lavender from their fields). You can buy the farm raised Tupelo honey, lavender in many forms, yarn from the alpaca wool.... A great place to pick up a specialty gifts. Russell and Anamiek and their 2 sons run the farm. Four Stars all the way! So much fun! We came here as Harvest Host and stayed a night behind the barn. From the moment we pulled up we were greeted by the friendly family that owns the farm. Their son Sean assisted us to our parking place for the night. After we got settled in one of their sons Chris took us on a tour of the farm. The alpacas were so much fun. We fed them and asked lots of questions. Chris is very knowledgeable about everything on the farm. The alpacas were so gentle and very soft. After visiting the animals we went into the gift shop. Lots of fun alpaca items. The farm also has Lavender crops and many gifts with lavender. I got my very own mini alpaca and my husband got a hat. The house shoes were tempting but I think my dog would have taken them. Would be great for field trips are family adventures. read more

What an experience! Went for the first time with kids and I ended up enjoying the most :) Tour guide/owner is super friendly and down to earth person. I think price is reasonable as well. Alpacas were super friendly and fun to play with. You will feed, walk, and play with them without getting rushed or anything like that. Our little one had absolutely no problem with the Alpacas even though her height barely reached the body of Alpaca :) Just listen and follow the instruction of the guide and you will be absolutely fine. Plenty of free on-site parking are available. Make sure to take hat and water if going in summer. Do checkout their gift shop. To me items were expensive but everything is organic. Wow what a great hidden gem. The farm is open to everyone on certain days (check their website) including days where anyone can walk around with the alpacas, feed them, and just hang around! The alpacas are so cute and gentle and they are very friendly even in the middle of a crowd. The place has a lot of benches and picnic tables, some shaded areas, yard games such as corn hole, and more. And there was was no fee and no one asked for information or asked us to register for anything. You park in a little field and take a 2 minute walk down a path and you are there! We spent the most amazing morning at TX Ture Farm! The only thing better than getting to know the resident alpacas was meeting the wonderful family that runs the farm. We learned about these sweet animals, lavender and Christmas tree farming and bee keeping! I plan many outings for my granddaughters and this was by far "the best"! Love going to the farm both as a vendor for festivals and to get my outdoor experience. Staff is outstanding and so friendly.

This place holds festivals throughout the year and the alpacas are always willing to just hang out (especially if you have food for them!) They also do "Walk a Paca" tours (by appt only) where you literally get to walk your own alpaca on leash throughout the farm! And they have a shop which smells like lavender (as they are also a lavender farm!) and has the best handmade soaps, oils, alpaca apparel and more! You can sign up for classes throughout the year too - alpaca yoga, soap making, scarf felting, etc. Check it out - it's a fantastic place owned by fantastic people. read more

I was taken here as a surprise from my boyfriend for the "Walk-a-Paca" experience. We've been to many farm experiences throughout Southern California and Texas, and this one will forever stick out as incredibly special. Russell started us off in the barn for an extremely informative demonstration of how alpaca wool is used, and unique products his family creates in house from each alpaca. He then took us to our alpacas, where the two young boys of the family had been preparing three alpacas for us to take on a walk! We were taught how to properly walk with them and took a stroll around the farm. Russell taught us about some of the plants growing on their farm as we strolled. Then, perhaps the most amazing part of our session was returning to the alpaca pen and getting to feed them all. Russell kept a constant stream of feed pouches for us as alpacas swarmed from every direction for the food!!! IT WAS AMAZING. You just can't get a closer experience with animals. Russell had both a mat and a bench for us to sit on while feeding the animals so that the alpacas towered over us. We were totally smothered by fluff. Definitely wear clothes you don't mind getting some dirt on - but expect AWESOME photos. I was blown away by Russell's ability to catch such special moments during our time outside. He's informative, creative and pretty much everything in between. But then again, that quality shows in his whole family. Friendly multi-talented geniuses!!! On the yarn they sell, the family even goes so far as to print a name and picture of the alpaca they used the wool of on their product. We ended up purchasing some yarn made by one of the alpacas we had specifically met and taken pictures with that day. A very cool detail. Check out the many other cool products they sell in the barn as many of the soaps smell amazing and the lavender jelly is SO tasty. I've always lloved llamas growing up, and was thrilled to Find an alpaca and lavender farm near Dallas. My Friend and I visited last Wednesday morning and got the full well down on alpacas courtesy of Russell and his wife, owners of the farm. How relaxing, how "zen" to find this wonderful combination: soft, gentle alpacas ( yoga, anyone?), lavender fields (aromatherapy at your feet!), buzzy, busy beehives, and baby Christmas trees! Learn about alpacas(Walk-a-paca was invented HERE), enjoy the outdoors, and leave with a feeling of pure serenity! Wait! Don't leave until you check out the gift store laden with handmade lavender-based products, alpaca fur gifts (scarf, anyone? Bird nesting balls?). Russell's wife makes lavender lotions, cleansers, balms, beeswax candles and so much more! But our tour only scratched the surface of this idyllic spot.
