We spent time walking up and down the shoreline, listening to the waves roll in, and just taking it all in. The beach felt clean and well kept, and there was plenty of space to spread out without feeling packed in. It made it easy to relax whether you wanted to sit back in a chair, play with the kids, or just wander along the water. The atmosphere really stands out here. It has that perfect mix of family friendly and laid back beach town energy. You see people fishing, kids playing, and others just soaking up the sun. It never felt overwhelming, just a great steady vibe all around. It is also a great spot if you like simple beach activities. Whether it is swimming, shell hunting, or just dipping your feet in the water, everything feels easy and enjoyable. Watching the waves and the open water was easily one of the highlights of the day. However I got a call from this company halfway through our stay that their company was not allowed to set up the chairs/umbrella on the beach, and they didn't realize that. Apparently only Shore beach service is the only set up service allowed on the island. Seems like HH Cabana service should have known this.... I feel confused. It was nearly 7 at the time and the marina was closed so that is why I called him the next day. The Bubba Gumbos manager saw the beam sticking halfway out in the parking lot as shown in my picture and he is the one who pushed it back on the trailer bed. I have no idea why it was sticking out dangerously as shown on the picture. It was around 7 and the sun glare made it hard to see as shown in my pictures. You can see the attitude and extreme lack of care in the owners response. I was always polite and respectful so that is a blatant lie saying I was belligerent. I have all the texts between us and am happy to share. Their negligence damaged my vehicle and I ran in front of another vehicle that nearly hit the beam right after me preventing a second accident within just a few minutes. I even offered to split the repair costs to which I received no reply at all. I tried to work with him, but he treated me extremely unprofessionally. We were planning to eat at Bubba Gumbos that night and had been looking to take a boat out to Little Tybee while on our trip, but will never use this marina or eat here. I advise you to do the same.
