Biking is an amazing way to get around the island since Uber/Lyft is extremely limited here. There are signs for bike trails around the island, so it's very easy to navigate. We rented a tandem bike for $25 per day for two days and had an absolute blast. Fast and no hassle rental, and really friendly service. Call upfront so they can have whatever you need ready by the time you reach the store. I think they do delivery as well. Highly recommend! read more

My husband and I rented two bikes to get around tybee island. Tim's was great. They dropped the bikes off at our condo. We didn't even need to meet them. They just called to let us know where they parked them and then they arranged to pick them up. Tybee is a great area to bike with designated bike routes and saves you on car parking fees! The only reason for 4 stars vs 5 is that it would have been nice to have baskets on the bikes like shown in the photos. Highly recommend them ! read more

Highly recommend renting bikes from Tim's! Staff was very informative and friendly both in person and on the phone. Only reason for 4 stars is because one of our bikes was super squeaky and the handlebars were not very mobile for turning. We rented a tandem bike, umbrella and 2 chairs. The staff was very prompt in returning my call and quick to deliver our gear. But the gear needs some TLC. The bike had more rust, squeaks, groans and noises than I have. While the umbrella was in great shape, the chairs were old and look very sand worn. With very limited rental places on the island, these guys have close to a monopoly. They need to upgrade their equipment ASAP! read more

I was thrilled when my parents agreed to a biking tour of Tybee Island during our time in Savannah. Prior to our trip, I had emailed Tim's to make sure we didn't need a reservation, and they were quick to respond and assure me that we would be fine to just drop in and pick up bikes when we arrived. Pick up was seamless and super quick. The bikes were simple and user-friendly (the Island is super flat so no gears/shifting necessary!) and even came with baskets and drink holders. Plus, the price is so affordable and we had a wonderful day. When we found ourselves slightly stranded when our cab driver never came back for us, Tim's was super helpful in helping us make alternate plans. If you're on Tybee, a bike ride is such a great way to see more of the Island. The streets are made for cyclists with wide roads and a bike route the weaves through gorgeous homes and incredible landscaping - it felt like we were visiting a Botanic Garden. Can't recommend renting bikes from Tim's enough! Enjoy! read more

I am so impressed with Tim's. I enjoy bike riding, and try to ride my bike as often as I possibly can. I have yet to find a convenient way to travel cross- country (for work) with my own bike, so I rent bikes wherever I am traveling. Tim's was incredibly affordable (other bike rentals, take note!), and it only took about 5 minutes for me to be on my way. The service was excellent- the staff is very friendly, and very helpful. When I asked for local bike routes/ bike paths, I was given a number of options based on my interests. When you rent a bike, you also get a bike lock, so that you can get off the bike and go explore. I didn't use the free pickup/ delivery service, but I would imagine that to be quite convenient. I highly recommend Tim's, and I hope to one day be back! read more

Rented from here because it was close and we could walk over to pick them up rather than drive. Kid that answered the phone was lackluster. He said he was leaving for an hour to do deliveries. We raced over there to grab bike before he left. Not a shrewd of racing to be had by him. Didn't do any explanation of the bike. Didn't check them to be sure they were okay. I had to trade mine out- luckily I know a thing or two about bikes. My sisters seat keeps falling even after tightening it as we rode. Should have stuck with Fat Tire Bikes. read more

I had a confirmed reservation for an umbrella and two chairs. When I got there they did not have my reservation. I showed them my confirmed reservation and an email confirming the reservation. They came back with they sent me an email on my travel day but of course I hadn't seen that said they didn't have it any longer. I asked them what I was supposed to do on the hot beach without an umbrella and he said rudely just sit on a chair. Naturally I was not happy. However since there are so few choices here on the island They can continue to be rude and treat their customers badly and it won't hurt their business. read more

Hey, please rent your bikes from Tim and Fred. They are so accommodating and genuinely nice. I am disabled and I bought one of their end of year used bikes for $100 cash, which was a heck of a deal. I panicked as soon as I got on my bike because I could not balance myself and if I fell, after a 4 level Cervical fusion, my injury would have been bad. I called and spoke with Tim and not only did Fred come pick up my bike, they gave me my money back so I could buy a tricycle. Fred offered to put it together for me. These guys are awesome and I love the way they do business and business in general on Tybee. read more

Really nice place to rent bikes or beach equipment from, they have things for the whole family and they'll even deliver (free of charge!). Their beach umbrella's are wonderful, very large and they have several different size beach chairs. Very straight forward and no muss, no fuss. They'll load and unload into your car for you, if you so chose to take the items yourself. Would highly recommend these guys, and will use them again next time we're on the island! read more

We rented a bike for my daughter for 1 day and could not believe the super affordable rates, basket, lock and helmet included. My own bike had a flat tire next day and back we went for to Tybee to have it repaired which was done in no time again for a great price.. thanks guys Great job read more

We visit Tybee Island several times a year and have found that bikes are by far the best way to get around the island. We always rent from Tim's because of their prices and their free pick up and delivery. Their customer service is great, too: on our last visit, I was out riding early on a Sunday morning when my bike threw its chain. I called Tim's and left a voice mail explaining the situation. In less than 15 minutes I got a call from Tim's that they had picked up the bike where I had left it locked and had dropped off a replacement at our house. You can't beat that! read more

My wife and I had a totally negative experience with Tim's today. Approximetely 3 weeks ago, I reserved a tandem for us to cruise around Tybee Island. When we showed up to pick it up, we were told that they wouldn't have one until tomorrow, that there had been a mistake and that someone had kept one longer than expected, that they were sorry, blah, blah, blah. My wife and I used to run a coffee shop that shared a space with a bike shop so we've unfortunately seen other bike guys do this sort of thing to other people before. What it boils down to is that someone else wanted to rent a tandem for three days or a week, so our "mistake" magically occured. Total bait-and-switch job. We were given two beach cruisers for the price of the tandem. No helmets though. Our ride was fun, but a tandem would've been more fun. Plus, my bike sounded as if it was going to shake itself apart at any moment. Do yourself a favor and rent from Fat Tire Bikes on Tybee. I have no doubt that they would be more.professional. read more
