Our interior business sign turned out pretty nice, especially after they upgraded our materials. However, my overall experience with Tako Tyko left something to be desired. Responsiveness was spotty at best. Installation was disappointing as well, with their late technician rushing the job and breaking part of the sign. When I relayed these issues to my project manager, the owner immediately called me to defend his 'trusted' technician, blamed the messy install on the type of signage I chose, and explicitly reminded me that I was a small client. I didn't trust them to try and fix their mistakes without causing more damage to our walls, so we settled on a discount and called it a day. If you have a somewhat decent budget ($10K+), don't have a hard deadline, are diligent and proactive about following up on the status of your job, and aren't overly concerned about a flawless install, then these guys are for you. read more

Just started a restaurant business around the SFV area, and have been getting quotes all over the city. Either I get a no response or their reply sounds fishy. Only at Tako Tyko, I feel the ease of putting in my orders. Talk to Allen!! He will help you get what you want! He gives his own opinions, and be able to guide you through the signage process. Tako Tyko has provided a wide variety of signs for our mixed use retail and office building, including a large outdoor mounted LED sign. The LED sign job included permitting, design, engineering and installation. They did a great job navigating the complexities of the City of LA permit process. Additionally, their design skills have added a sophisticated modern look for the Tenant identification door plaques and directional signage within the building. We are opening a new kickboxing gym in West Hollywood and we are new in town not knowing too many vendors. We yelped for sign makers near us, checked out at least half a dozen vendors and their galleries, sent out quote requests, after 24 hrs....nada...zip...not even a call back. Yelped again with a larger area, found Tako Tyko with an incredibly impressive gallery, sent a quote request, and shockingly received a call within 15 minutes on a Friday evening! What??? Spoke with Nick, who was knowledgeable and VERY patient because I knew diddly squat about signs, and talked me through the process. The worst and rude service ever! They constantly miss appointments, scheduled phone calls and are incredibly rude. My first sign with them was over 3 weeks late with excuse after excuse. My mistake was even attempting a second sign with them. After an entire week of missed appointments and "forgotten" phone calls, I called two other sign companies as this sign is time sensitive. When I tried to make a complaint to someone at Tako Tyko, the person hung up on me. I do not write reviews but this one I just had to. If I could give a zero rating I would as a 1 out of 5 is far too generous. Every component to their service is ranked a one. If you think I am wrong, go ahead and use them and see what happens. You will be right here writing a review with a 1 out of 5. There are so many other companies that are genuine and appreciate your business.
