They have an F on the Better Business Bureau!…read moreI had cancelled services with this company for my home in Tyler, Texas (they require 30 days' notice and a $72 cleanup fee, which is unreasonable). The representative I spoke to for the cancellation advised me to ensure autopay is turned off after we ended the call. So I went online and turned off autopay. He then said I would be emailed, as usual, with my last invoices and could pay them then. They then unlawfully and unethically charged my account three times, even though autopay was turned off. My bill was $48.32, and they charged me $144.96. When I called to report this, the representative told me I had paid three times and that they would leave the credit on my account. I immediately rejected this and informed him that I had not made any payment toward this account. He repeatedly tried to claim I had paid the account three times. He then said my autopay was turned on. I checked my account again, and autopay was turned OFF. I informed him of this, and he said, I have to delete my card completely from the account so it does not get charged. It's completely unethical to charge a card even though it's NOT selected for autopay, and there's no warning that the card will still be charged. And for him to lie to me and say I was the one who paid it, and then lie again, saying it was on autopay, is unlawful. He eventually refunded the overpayment, and I was able to delete my card completely. I then told him how horrible it was that they did this, and how I wonder how many people they do this to, and how they probably make so much money from people simply not noticing. He said they don't do that, and I said, Well, you did it to me and then tried lying about it, so I'm not going to base it on what you say. I informed him I was reporting him to the BBB, which I did.
