This company falsely advertises items they don't have, and when you click to download ebooks or pdfs, it requires you to sign in for the download, and you'll receive a FREE trial membership. They then collect your credit card and charge you for upgrades you haven't made. To make it worse, they don't HAVE ANY of the books, games or music they advertise. And they advertise heavily. When I called asking what their youtube ad for a specific book was about if they don't have the book, they said the person who created the ad doesn't work for the company. It has a professional looking website, and offers a "free " membership, but then once you enter in your information you need to "upgrade" your membership to a 9.95 per month fee to even access anything. Then, they try to make it confusing to cancel membership as someone else already stated, and I had the same experience where just to cancel within 5 minutes there is a "99 cent" express service charge. Similarly, glad I paid the 99 cents to be rid of it immediately. They may or may not have any worthwhile content, but I will not be wasting 9.95 to find out with misleading business practices like that. Edit: I did get quick customer service after posting this on yelp, reversing any 99 cent cancellation charges, so at least they have that. This service is very misleading. I was looking for something online (I can't remember what at this point), and Tzarmedia said they had it. I started the free trial (should've been more concerned that they asked for my credit card information) to gain access to it (it wasn't even what I wanted, in the end). I didn't think about it anymore after that. After all, it was a free trial. Wrong. Come 5 months later I realized that I was getting charged roughly $34 for a service I didn't remember signing up for (this was partly negligence on my part to check where my money was going), only to find out that the free trial automatically upgraded to a premium paid membership if one didn't cancel before 5 days was up. So I lost over $170 because of it. I never even used the service. Not once. I cancelled the subscription, but it cost me $0.99 to do so. That is a rip-off in and of itself. Otherwise you have to wait 3 days for it to go into effect. That also makes that 5 day trial into a mere 2 day trial if you don't want to spend any money at all. SCAM!!!! So many things wrong with this company/service. You start with a "5 Day free trial." Then when you sign up, somehow they tack on a "Multimedia Membership." That's $2.95. Nothing worked except some music! So I cancelled the same day I signed up. They say it takes 3 business days to cancel. I never received an email that the account was cancelled. Then I was charged $29.95. I called again to inquire and cancel. They said 5-10 business days to get the refund. I asked about the service not working, they asked if I downloaded the player. I told them there isn't any info or anything to download. They wouldn't address my point. Bottom Line...they charge people, hold their money and earn 10 days of interest on it. Looking for an older movie to critique for a class. Once I entered my credit card information and email address (being sure to NOT click $2.95 for games option and $1.00 donation to UNICEF) the movie was no where to be found. I cancelled immediately online, which claims it's free and will take 3 days. That's still within my 5-day free trial, so I shouldn't get charged. Beware! This is a SCAM! Charge showed up on my account. I never authorized it. Fortunately, I look over my bank statements, either online, or on my phone. I didn't recognize the charge or the name, & since our card has been compromised previously, I called our bank fraud department immediately. My bank got them on the phone & since my bank was on the line as well, she refunded my money. (but said it's going to take 7-10 Biz days) When I got home, I was able to get on Google & see all the Scam warnings. Many many hidden fees, most of the stuff they advertise they don't have, and unless you read incredibly carefully you probably won't notice the $20 they charge you after 2 days. And they weren't helpful for me with reimbursement. A free trial actually means a $1 trial, assuming you do everything correctly and read everything. Tsarmedia.com seems to have one main goal in mind: that is to sign up people with their "free 5 day Premium Membership" who hope to download something from the net and then have the folks forget that after the 5 days there will be a healthy (for Tsarmedia) charge on the charge card. After finding a book on an online site, I was directed to Tsarmedia thinking that, once I had signed up, I could download the book. Once signed up, no link appeared, and I couldn't find the book. Only games and other stuff I didn't need or want. Cancelling the premium membership was not overly difficult which is nice of Tsarmedia but I can't seem to find where to delete my entire membership because I have no wish to do business, even free business, with such a company. read more

My elderly mother (in Colorado Springs) somehow accidentally signed up for this on her Kindle Fire. One day she saw a charge on her debit card for $34.95 and had no idea what it was about - didn't even recognize the name Tzarmedia. I called their customer service line; they cancelled the "membership" and agreed to refund the money in 10-12 days (we'll have to wait to see if they actually do). They were very efficient about it; I got the sense that they get these kinds of cancellation requests all the time. I think their procedure for signing people up is fraudulent. read more

i was looking for a newly released movie and found that it was advertised on tzarmedia as available for streaming. i opened an account, putting in my card details with assurance that nothing would be charged. i then found that i only qualified for 5 days free trial and after that i would be charged a monthly fee. i thought i'd give it a go so i looked again for the movie but they didn't actually have it in their database! annoyed i decided to cancel my membership, the form asked me to put my email address and password in which i did correctly, but 3 times it said it was incorrect and that for 'security' purposes this option was no longer available. the other options were to call them (yeah right!) or pay a $1.00 fee for 'express cancellation'. clearly a massive con, lied to, manipulated and then lied to again. these actions are going to bring some seriously bad karma back to whichever scumbag runs this site! read more
