The service was good and the place is really clean. The rolls we got were decent, but it's not the highest quality sushi. The tuna looked like it was an unnatural shade of red. I live in Alaska and know quality seafood when I see and taste it. This is safe to eat, but I wouldn't go back. If you are not seafood savvy this might be great for you. read more

Regresé a este lugar esperando que cambiaran mi opinión después de mi última mala experiencia. Ahora entiendo que este restaurante es donde la esperanza viene a morir. Los contacte vía telefónica para dar mi orden y solo pasar a recoger (cabe recalcar que no vivo cerca), y tardaron más de una hora para entregarme mi orden. No solo eso, sino cuando me la entregaron, estaba incompleta. De no ser por un hombre (desconozco si era el encargado o el dueño) que entra a poner todo en orden y checar que está pasando, no se cuando hubiera recibido mi comida. Me ofrecieron los faltantes sin costo y hablaron con la muchacha que me había estado "atendiendo". Aún peor (antes de que llegara el hombre), cuando me preguntaron si dejaría propina y dije que "no" (mi orden la tomaron por teléfono y dada mi última mala experiencia no me sentía cómodo haciéndolo), la muchacha de pronto me comenzó a tratar mal. Se REÍA junto a su compañera y no checaba el estado de mi orden. Y claro, como mencioné arriba, cuando me la entregaron- NO ESTABA COMPLETA. Le agradezco al encargado que entró y tomó cargo de la situación, pero creo que los empleados deberían ser capaces de ser profesionales aún si la persona que manda no está ahí. Creo ahora aún mas fervientemente que antes que los dueños deberían hacer una limpieza entre sus empleados. No es correcto que traten así de despectivamente a sus clientes, RIÉNDOSE de ellos- en cualquier otro trabajo esta no sería una conducta aceptable. Espero que las personas relevantes puedan leer esto y entender que al contratar esta clase de personal solo están SABOTEANDO su negocio. ¿Con que clase de confianza y ánimo puede uno regresar? No se si me sentiría cómodo ordenando/comiendo aquí sabiendo que puedo ser sujeto a BURLAS por parte de los empleados, teniendo que esperar MÁS DE UNA HORA para que la orden que PAGUE me la entreguen de mala gana y además- INCOMPLETA. En este punto, venir aquí me provoca inseguridad. Solía frecuentar este lugar bastante y es decepcionante que el lugar que ofrece el mejor sushi en Tijuana (y este también ha bajado de calidad) quede fuera de mi rotación usual. Espero que los dueños atiendan este problema con la urgencia e importancia que merece. Absolutely delicious!! This place did not disappoint. I went twice to Tijuana during my visit to San Diego, and had lunch here both times! Tostadas de pulpo are so flavorful and tasty. All their sushi rolls have been delicious (I've tried 6 different ones so far). Their service was fantastic both times I went! A total plus. Plenty of Japanese cuisine options on their menu, if you aren't in the mood for sushi. Strongly recommend this restaurant! read more

We've had a lot of good sushi but this place by passes them all. They dont try to cover the fish by frying it and smothering it in sauces. Docking a star for being stingy with the lemonade, only like 3 sips and glass was empty. Also wasabi was lacking flavor. Food was decent, not great, but just average. Service was good, wait staff was very attentive and helpful. They where also knowledgeable as the menu has pics of items with no description, so we had to ask what was in it. Started off with the Jalapeños Capeados they were really good and spicy. Then moved on to the Alaskan Roll.... oh my.... this roll is amazing, the flavor was so pleasing to the palate. I highly recommend this roll. For our last roll we had the Nico Roll, that one was also very delicious and fresh, but my fav is the Alaskan. So there was room for dessert and we got the plátano macho - everyone needs a little plátano macho in their lives. read more

Compared to sushi in the US, this place didn't even come close. It didn't quite cure my craving for sushi either. My fiancé and I ordered edamame, an Alaska Roll, a Rainbow Roll, and Coconut Shrimp. Pros: -the service: the waiters were attentive, polite, and professional -the ambiance: not loud or bright... it was very relaxing and quaint -the shrimp: it was YUMMO -the cold sake was nice Cons: -the pickled ginger they served was not sweet, at all - not much of a palate cleanser -the Alaska roll had the sweet taste I was looking for but way too mucho mayonnaise -the sushi rolls were room temperature at best... sushi should not be warm.. -the wasabi was not very potent -the rice served with the shrimp was not jasmine.. and the "salad" it came with was just a few leaves of spring mix with no dressing -the Sapporo was pricey ($165 pesos) -since the sake was available served cold, unfiltered sake would have been a nice option -the edamame were drenched in an off-tasting sauce... it had a fishy taste to it... edamame should be served steamed and lightly salted read more

It's baja-style sushi, so expect a fair amount of fried and baked ingredients, chipotle mayonnaise and lemon rind as a garnish on your sushi. I wish I could say I liked this style but I feel like the accoutrements often overpower the raw fish. Baking sushi not only brings out the fishy quality of sushi but it overcooks the rice, leaving you with a dish that's fishy, crunchy and gummy. Their ramen sadly is also nothing like traditional ramen (save the noodles) and instead more of a beef soup, lacking the rich, fatty miso-based broth that is a big part of what makes ramen. Criticisms aside, I think this place has potential: it's cozy and fairly quiet, the service is pretty good the three times I've been here and the prices are fair for sushi. I think with some tweaking of the menu this place could be one of the better sushi joints in TJ. read more

This is by far my favorite sushi house in town , there driven to give excellent service ,the food is always fresh and amazing, Besides it being crowded and not having the best parking I have cero complaints . Staff is awesome , food is great, they have a wide variety of local beers as well as Sapporo and other internationals .
