Excelente food, Service and amazing nigiri, their maki rolls are very creative, intriguing and super flavourful simply just more than you expect, but the star of the show is the Nigiri hand roll, simply amazing tuna, ikura, Ebi, the best I tasted in Tijuana, and very close to San Diego Sushi, which is some of the freshest and best in the US. I have gone here for years, and there's nothing like a Sake bomb and some ashinga beer, or Kirin beer to take the edge off the weekend and some amazing sushi. I love to share sake with the sushi chefs, and they seem to enjoy teaching me some Chinese, always a great time, and good food always! I should mention the hot plates, like sake shrimp and soups are really good too, but usually, that's a lot of food and I always end up eating some amazing yakimeshi fried rice and nigiri... you should try the really good Fried tempura ICE CREAM.!! if you feel you in the mood for something ask the sushi guy he will whip up anything you like just by saying what you like to eat. read more

Tijuana has some amazing seafood produce available to and here's where you should go if you want it to taste like authentic Japanese. Went for dinner with a friend, we were in the mood for sushi and trying a new place, and this fit the bill. The place is really nice, and the service was ok, I think some of the waiters didn't speak spanish hahaha. The food was really good, the fish tasted fresh and didn't have a fishy smell. We ordered a "special rice" which is white rice topped with surimi, but it tasted like crab, real crab, but we didn't ask what it was we just assumed, if it was surimi that is a good one!; the rice also is topped with pieces of avocado, cream cheese and 4 large shrimps (cooked), and all is doused in nitsume. The bowl is for 2-3 persons. It isn't as expensive as I was told, but it isn't cheap, it will cost you arounf 25 dlls/person, but it is worth it. read more

Just a few minutes from the San Ysidro border and easy to find location make this a must eat at sushi restaurant whenever your'e in Mexico. The sushi is amazing, the deserts are not too sweet so they go great with the Jasmine tea or coffee. We ordered a mix of different types of sushi rolls and it was served to us in a beautiful wooden boat with detailed garnish. It was delicious! The wasabi is freshly made just for your order so it packs a punch. Ask for green tea ice cream, yum. There is parking available and they do offer take out. Great sushi Easy to find Everything I've had there was delicious. Gotta stop in when in Tijuana

OK, this is the first time I've eaten Japanese food in Tijuana or Mexico for that matter because when I'm in Mexico, I only eat Mexican food for obvious reasons BUT.....I was starving and I was craving ramen and this place just showed up while I was thinking of ramen. My wish was granted somehow. I went in and I was pretty shocked by all the Asian workers. They're all Chinese to be exact. I'll be honest, I felt weird speaking Spanish to the Chinese workers here because I'm so used to speaking English to Chinese people in the USA. I'm not trying to be racist, I'm Asian that can also speak Spanish but I never speak it to my fellow Asians. So yeah, weird culture shock ANYHOW....they didn't have ramen. They mostly specialize in sushi because they have like 3 pages on their menu dedicated to it. Feeling sad, I ordered something almost close to ramen. I ordered a mixed seafood udon noodle soup. Now, it was tasty but it isn't the best Udon noodle soup ever. It doesn't compare to the ones that Japanese restaurants in San Diego and Los Angeles serve. But I didn't get my hopes up so at least I didn't feel disappointed. I also ordered chicken tempura and a glass of clamato. Yeah, clamato isn't Japanese but I immediately wanted one when I saw it on the menu. The chicken tempura was pretty good. It has that awesome flavor that'll go down perfect with beer. Now, just because this restaurant is in TJ, don't expect it to be cheap. This restaurant has the same price as any Japanese restaurant found in the US. Expect to pay $10 and up. Total for my order costs $22 and that includes tip (you don't have to pay a "tip" because it's included in the bill). This restaurant wins when it comes to how nice the workers were and the fact that this restaurant is pretty clean. Food was alright, it's not the best Japanese food I've had but it's worth it if you crave some Japanese food. read more
