Me encanta este lugar!!! Es muy acogedor, el servicio es muy bueno y la comida es excelente! Pruebo otros lugares pero siempre regreso aqui! Mi rollo favorito es el tuna king! Con un gin de matcha!

If you are in the mood for Japanese food while in Baja Tijuana, then Saketori-Ya is the place for you! The menu has all the quintessential Japanese dishes you might thinking of including ramen, nigiri, tempura, and donnuri. They offer beer, wine, and cocktails that are all locally made and sourced. Service is thoughtful and warm yet fun and friendly. But more importantly are the fresh quality ingredients and locally caught fresh fish. Come and enjoy a taste of Japan in Baja Tijuana! Then hit up the taco spots right up the street!

This place... the ramen was good, the base is really tasty and kinda different with the chistorra flavor. I tried a sushi that I don't remember the name but flavor was not great, I keep with the ramen. Service was amazing, totally thinking about coming back here!

We picked this restaurant based on the great reviews for food and we weren't disappointed. Some of the best quality fish I have had almost anywhere in Mexico or the USA. A good selection of different varieties but also the basics for the sushi purist like me. Based on other reviews about service I was a little concerned going in but the service was good. I wouldn't say great but certainly no reason to pass up this great food. A little concerned when we arrived at how long it took to get served but once we were identified and given a waiter the service was good. The atmosphere is certainly not a typical or traditional sushi house. The picnic table style main seating is a little bit strange to me for a quality restaurant especially since I was there with only my girlfriend. It's a small venue so I'm sure they're trying to fit as many people in as possible but if you're looking for something more intimate with only another person you're not giving get it here. While there is a bar for drinks where you can watch TV there doesn't really appear to be a traditional sushi bar where you can interact with a chef. We will go here again because the food was so terrific but if you are looking for a sushi bar with the atmosphere of a traditional Sushi House this is not your place. But don't let that stop you from trying this because the food is that good and the only reason I don't give it 5 stars is for the strange seating arrangement. I'm very picky with giving a 5th star.I really wish I could give this 41/2 stars..

Wow! This was some of the best sushi I've had anywhere. We wanted to try something different this time in town and this place came highly recommended. We started off with asome amazingly fresh and tasty oysters, nigiri and cold sake. We later moved to the rolls and those did not disappoint. The soft shell cream roll had an cilantro sauce on it with the perfect amount of crunch. The double toro (fatty tuna) roll at the end stole the show, unfortunately we were too full to order another one. The only drawback was that the parking was almost non-existent. As far as the service, food and cleanliness, it was second to none. Thank you Omar for this incredible recommendation, this place was amazing!

Only thing is if you add to the order you need to check your your order when you're picking up.

It was really great sushi I stopped last minute to pick up some spicy tuna rolls some sesame. One other great thing is you can buy flowers across the street. There's a lady who sells flowers on the corner so as you're waiting for your food you can get flowers

This place is a perfect example of how excellent service separates the good places and the GREAT places. Really really friendly and fun staff. Sushi had really bright and fresh ingredients that popped with each bite. Also had an amazing beer selection.

My favorite sushi in TJ. You won't find better quality fish anywhere else. The restaurant is casual. Every dish is good here. The only negative here is sometimes they are so busy that your orders don't ever get to your table. The communication really needs to be worked on. And the bathrooms should improve in cleanliness.

Roll, gyozas, donburi kani-kama & classic ramen

This is one of my favorite Japanese places in the city, the service is super nice and efficient, and the menu may be small but packed in flavor and freshness. The classic ramen is delicious, super similar to something you might have in Japan; my favorite is the Kani-Kama Donburi, just love it; and when it come the rolls, some of the best are found written on blackboards. The ambiance is really nice, inside it has a bit of a communal feel, that is really nice. The outdoor seating is in a small "plaza" where the "izakaya" is located, it gives you more "privacy" in the sense that you are not directly seating on the sidewalk. I love this place, and I love to going there.

    Ponzu oysters. A must have
    Noe G.

I had a craving for some sushi and found this on line. The food was delicious, but the wait staff could be more attentive. One of the items you must try are the ponzu oysters. I highly recommend this place......for the food. Like I said earlier the wait staff could do a better job in tending to the customers.

La verdad, no entiendo porque un restaurante te limita a estar solo 1:30 dentro de sus instalaciones, eso no es aceptable.

She recommended a milk punch cocktail that incorporated Sotol, which is kind of like tequila but instead of fermenting agave, it ferments Dasylirion and is made only in Chihuahua. Then she recommended a cocktail that leverages a Mexican produced corn liquor in a Negroni but with gin subbed with mezcal. Both of these cocktails are bartenders choice and not on the menu, but the fact that they can execute such innovative cocktails so we'll speaks to the level of dedication bartenders at this bar have. Renee even gave pointers as to where I might be able to buy some of the bottles they use and for a few other bars of similar caliber to visit nearby. Instead of ending my trip at Nortico as previously planned, she helped me find a really cool new bar in Tijuana! Highly recommend.

The restaurant is a large space with both indoor and outdoor seating, and the atmosphere is really cute and inviting. The service was excellent. What we ordered: *Aguachile Reina: This was delicious and had a little kick to it. If you're sensitive to spice, this might not be the best choice, but for those who enjoy a little spice, it's a great option. *Rock Shrimp: Absolutely phenomenal. This was probably one of my favorites of the night. The flavors were amazing, and the shrimp was cooked perfectly. *Tuna Tartare: Another delicious dish. The portion size was generous, and they bring out chips to enjoy with it. We also enjoyed tequila on the rocks. They have a large liquor and cocktail menu. The food came out in less than 10 minutes, and everything tasted fresh. This is definitely a spot I'd recommend checking out when you're in the area. The ambiance is modern with both indoor and outdoor seating. There is a gorgeous fire pit right in the middle of the patio which gives off nice heat without making your hair smell like firewood. It's the perfect place to grab a few drinks before heading down for your dinner reservation at Mision 19 but it's not a place I would seek out just to drink at for the night. The prices are very similar to the prices you would pay for cocktails in the states. Not overly expensive, just more expensive than other drink prices in Mexico. It was a bit dead when we arrived since it was fairly early in the night so I'd be curious to feel the vibe of the place when it's more packed.
