It was a chilly, rainy night and the boyfriend and I were in need of a nice, big, warm bowl of soup so we stopped by Saketori-Ya to try out the ramen. The place has a really cool, modern vibe with plenty of seating, both inside and out. We started out with the gyoza which they offer boiled or fried. I liked the option, but like... fried is always better haha so naturally we went with that. We both opted for the Clasico ramen which comes with a more traditional tonkatsu style broth. It was so flavorful and the egg was cooked perfectly! The noodles were perfect (if you frequently eat ramen, you know what I mean). Service was quick and attentive. I asked for something to make my broth more spicy and they brought out a selection of sauces, which I appreciated. I really loved this spot and will definitely be coming back! read more

We picked this restaurant based on the great reviews for food and we weren't disappointed. Some of the best quality fish I have had almost anywhere in Mexico or the USA. A good selection of different varieties but also the basics for the sushi purist like me. Based on other reviews about service I was a little concerned going in but the service was good. I wouldn't say great but certainly no reason to pass up this great food. A little concerned when we arrived at how long it took to get served but once we were identified and given a waiter the service was good. The atmosphere is certainly not a typical or traditional sushi house. The picnic table style main seating is a little bit strange to me for a quality restaurant especially since I was there with only my girlfriend. It's a small venue so I'm sure they're trying to fit as many people in as possible but if you're looking for something more intimate with only another person you're not giving get it here. While there is a bar for drinks where you can watch TV there doesn't really appear to be a traditional sushi bar where you can interact with a chef. We will go here again because the food was so terrific but if you are looking for a sushi bar with the atmosphere of a traditional Sushi House this is not your place. But don't let that stop you from trying this because the food is that good and the only reason I don't give it 5 stars is for the strange seating arrangement. Wow! This was some of the best sushi I've had anywhere. We wanted to try something different this time in town and this place came highly recommended. We started off with asome amazingly fresh and tasty oysters, nigiri and cold sake. We later moved to the rolls and those did not disappoint. The soft shell cream roll had an cilantro sauce on it with the perfect amount of crunch. The double toro (fatty tuna) roll at the end stole the show, unfortunately we were too full to order another one. The only drawback was that the parking was almost non-existent. The only negative here is sometimes they are so busy that your orders don't ever get to your table. The communication really needs to be worked on. This is one of my favorite Japanese places in the city, the service is super nice and efficient, and the menu may be small but packed in flavor and freshness. The classic ramen is delicious, super similar to something you might have in Japan; my favorite is the Kani-Kama Donburi, just love it; and when it come the rolls, some of the best are found written on blackboards. The ambiance is really nice, inside it has a bit of a communal feel, that is really nice. The outdoor seating is in a small "plaza" where the "izakaya" is located, it gives you more "privacy" in the sense that you are not directly seating on the sidewalk. I had a craving for some sushi and found this on line. The food was delicious, but the wait staff could be more attentive. One of the items you must try are the ponzu oysters. They have about 3 waiters and a manager running around each area and they all ask you sometimes 3 at a time what you want then do not communicate with each other or put the damn order in. I was very impressed with the quality of their fish. I had an ahi tostada and a salmon roll that I don't remember the name but it was delicious, the sirena beer goes great with the fish. I was told their toro is a big deal so of course I tried the toro nigiri and it was very good-for the prize that you pay in Mexico it was actually perfect. FOOD POISONING. Ordered the highest grade tuna Toro sashimi, that we were told was caught that same day... but when it got to our table it was very warm more than room temperature. I didn't think much of it since they said it was fresh. I mentioned it to the waiter after I ate and he said well we don't freeze it I told you it's fresh... right but shouldn't it be on ice atleast... or in a fridge. A few hours later I got the worst stomach ache and diarrhea all night. Today is day 2 of diarrhea and stomach aches similar to pregnancy contractions. Can't hold anything in. Me and my husband went there after some people recommended us this place. The location is good, food is good but the service is horrible. They forgot to bring me the roll I ordered, my husband finished his roll and his teriyaki and I was still waiting for the roll. After asking two waiters and the captain the roll finally came up, I ordered more tea and never got it. I had to request it 5 times!! until the captain came again and heard my complaint. He apologized and everything but I was mad already. To finalize, they charged us more food than the we actually ordered so we called the captain again, he seemed to be embarrassed and offered us an apology. sincerely, I won't like to come back to this place. The food is good as I said but I prefer not to come back to a place where you won't be well treated and they will try to rob you by charging you more food than the you actually ordered. read more

I decided to eat here before making my trip to the casino nextdoor and the food and service is spectacular! We ordered bowls and the house sake, which had mixed greens whith one of the best salad dressings I had ever had. I love their Chronic roll and Jurel tostada. They also have an amazing tuna nigiri "Blue fin tasting". Ask for the Sirena draught beer.

First time trying out this place last night, and it was amazing! Loved the KFC sliders, teriyaki bowl, and cocktails.
