I spent $88 US dollars and $17 was stolen. I decided to treat myself and go all out. I got a spa pedicure and a manicure with effects. I wanted each nail to be a different color and confirmed that was alright before proceeding forward. I don't fully know what the issue was but they couldn't find some of the colors and it took a long time for the manager to locate them. I was there for 1.5 to 2 hours and it felt like the manager wasn't happy about it so I told the girls that we can redesign my nails but they reassured me they had time for me. Once I left, I went to the bathroom in Plaza Caracol before a meeting I had and my effects came off (image) so I message Unas Normas and they said I can come back. I schedule an appointment for two days later as that was the soonest I could come. By that time my effect were half off three or four of my nails. On my way, I messaged them that I would be 5 mins late and they said I can't be late. I told them I was in the uber on my way. I arrived was 5 mins late then they had me sit in a chair for 10-15 mins before telling me that all my nails were chipped and they didn't have time to redo them but had a 11 am appointment. I was annoyed because if they needed more time they should have scheduled it in the first place. They asked me what I wanted for my nails and I told them whatever they recommended because I didn't want to come back and I wanted pained nails. They did gel polish without effects so I asked if I would get a refund for the effects that I paid for on each nail - $17 value. The nail girl asked and told me the manager said no but offered a hand or foot massage (nice of the girl but NOT worth the value) I went and talked to the manager. She told me no and I told her she has a bad product that she is offering to her customers. She told me that is why they have their guarantee. I said that she has a faulty product that she charged me $17 US dollars for and I am sure she can give a refund as the company has three or so stores and they have to have some type of policy. She said she wouldn't even know how to give a refund. During this exchange, another girl was talking and then she just kinda ignored me by looking down at her desk passive aggressively until I said something. I think I said something like soooo and she said sorry. So I told her that I didn't think she was and that I was going to write a bad review. So here is the review.... In conclusion, I think this is a VERY expensive place to get nails done as it's comparable to the US in pricing, they don't fully guarantee their service, they give faulty products or perhaps they just don't teach people how to apply it, and essentially steal money from their customers. read more

Absolutely fabulous!! I whatsapped for an appointment and got one right away. My Spanish is nonexistent but we were able to make this work. I wanted coffin acrylics. I haven't had acrylics in a long time so I was a bit apprehensive. But Esmerelda was so precise. She made sure the nails were on perfectly and if it didn't look right, I didn't even tell her she saw it right away and fixed it herself. You could tell that she is proud of her work. I've had acrylics before and I've always left feeling like I should have asked for better care but didn't. Here, I got really nice work (ask for Esmerelda) and I left feeling great. Also you know how in the States the ladies are always talking and it sounds like they're talking about you when maybe they're not? Here it was silent. Just getting a service quietly. I would highly recommend coming here for any nail service. Oh and they take credit cards too! read more

Nice salon with WiFi and was easy to book an appointment on whatsapp. They do gel and acrylic. They did my gel mani/ normal pedi at the same time (huge plus). Minus one star due to the prices. The price was already much higher than I have paid in the area and they added all sorts of prices like removal of my original gel (when barely 2 fingers still had gel). Anyway, the total came out to about $50USD. Even in Tulum and other areas it's more like $25USD. read more

Worst nail salon I have ever been to. Before I had anything done to my nails I asked about the price and they told me an amount and then at the very end when I went to pay they changed the price and overcharged me almost just over 200 pesos over what they told me. Also 3 days after I got them done 2 of my nails started to fall of and I had to buy nail glue and glue them back on. I would not recommend this nail salon to anyone, worst experience I've ever had. The manager was also very rude and not understanding at all that her employees mad a mistake when they told me how much the service was going to cost and did not want to help solve the issue. I went in to get acrylics and a pedicure, the pedicure went amazing, the acrylics were the issue. I don't know if my nail lady didn't know what coffin shaped was but I walked out with wide, almost wide squared nails. She was super sweet and I know she did her best so I'm not gonna bash her. Aside from the off shape, the gel polish was marbling within two days and overall made my nails look disgusting and dirty. To top it off, I let the husky lady in the front keep the extra money thinking she would split the tip with the two ladies, but I never saw her hand the money out as the two that helped me as they called it a day and walked out. At some point I saw a different worker walk up and the husky lady was whispering and laughing as she handed the other worker money. If by some chance you're going to tip I recommend handing it directly to the lady(s) that help you. I wish I would've gotten the name of the heavy lady in the front, she seems sketchy, lazy, and doesn't help the other ladies out. read more
