I made the mistake of using their new mobile checkin, which ended up clearing my preference for the damage waiver. I did not realize this until the next day when I bumped a corner on a fire hydrant, and called to check why my insurance wasn't on. I called this branch manager, and he confirmed that I did initially have the SafeMove insurance, but that it was cleared at the time of check in when I used their app. Not only did they remove my insurance, and left me liable for $1000 of damage (for a $200 corner pillar plastic snap in part), the whole check in process was sloppy and I had to go in store to pick up the keys anyway. And the license plate of the van they told me to look for was wrong. Whats the point of mobile checkin if it doesn't replace going in the store and waiting in line. This company is a bunch of crooks. Not only do they scam you on the insurance, they rip you off on the cost of the damages. They deserve to go out of business and be replaced by a company with fair and comprehensive pricing. As well as apps that don't mess up my order.

I called this place 2 weeks ago and ordered a hitch for my vehicle and made an appointment to have…read moreit installed. I was told they would have to order it in and we set the date for installation. I called last week just to make sure all was going well. The woman I spoke to said they had to order the hitch. (I already knew that). I said that I understood. A week later I called to see if it came in and to make sure all was in order. I called today and spoke to the original woman on the phone and she informed me that the hitch wasn't in and that I should have been called to inform me that the hitch would take a month to come in. (Anyone else see a problem here?) She asked if I left a deposit I told her that I was never asked for one but would have gladly given one. At this point I finally caught on that it probably was never ordered because I didn't leave a deposit. So I cancelled called a competitor. I had to give them my build date, he told me they were in stock but had to be ordered through the company and it was guaranteed to be in next week. I had them order it and they'll come to where I work to install it. So thanks for ignoring me uhaul. I'm a serious buyer that you've lost business with. HORRIBLE PLACE! Don't rent a moving truck from this place if you like reliable service from…read moreprofessional people. They are a sub-contractor for Budget Truck Rentals. I reserved a 10 foot truck to be picked up at 9am this past Sunday to move to my new condo in Lawrenceville, NJ. The person who rented the truck before me never returned the truck! We waited until noon (when the place closes). We were not able to rent a truck that day because the only other 10 foot truck they had was in the shop. Perfect. So I had to move on Monday, after work, in the rain. To top it off, they were supposed to only hold the amount of the deposit during the time of rental and immediately return the funds upon return of the rental, but they CHARGED my debit card the amount of the deposit ($150). Barry, the ONLY guy who seems to work at this place, claims that Budget Truck Rental now has to write a letter to the bank telling them to put the funds back in my account, which could take up to two weeks. Atrocious!!!

Got there early and had to sit for a 1/2 hour while the only person working that day call other employees begging for someone to come in and help him because his early appointment had came in late and he was having problems with his install. Was told it was going to be at least 4 to 5 hours before I could be done so I rescheduled for today 8-14 at 9 because I would be the first appointment and there wouldn't be a delay and I could wait for the work. Got there early and was told it was going to be 3 to 4 hours and they only accept drop offs. Walked out. I'll find someone other than U-Haul.
