Bait & Switch, deceptive practices I went into the office at 510 S Henderson Rd., King of Prussia to inquire about a drive up storage unit. Tiara Roberts-Howard said those were at the other location at 318 S Henderson Rd, King of Prussia but she'd do the paperwork for me then send me there. She stated the rental fee would be $133 per month with tax. I said ok but I'd barely afford that because I'm on disability. Looking at the contract I told her I couldn't see it clearly because I have cataracts & asked if there was anything to change and I'd assume they take the rent automatically. She said yes but no changes. She said she'd email the contract and I told her again I can't see that on my phone either. Cataracts cause double vision when I'm reading. She then pressed me to write her a positive review. She even tried to get me to do it right then. After 3 months my rent increased $80 without notice. She claimed to have sent registered mail but none was sent and no signature was returned. Two very specific times during our conversation she should have told me about this increase. I would not have stayed if I had been told of this giant increase coming. I had had to hire movers to get my property into the unit. I spoke to her after the took so much more from my account & she denied her deceit and hung up on me. I then spoke to Joe Stringer. He accused me of knowing about this increase but I told him she never said it even when I explained my financial limitations and inability to read the fine print and said he would speak to the owner stating several times "I care". He was to call me the next day. That was 16 days ago. No call. Beware of these bait and switch practices. They take advantage. read more

Very friendly and helpful customer service! They have been kind and accommodating. The units are decently priced and they have a variety of sizes to choose from. They have loading bays for box trucks which made things super efficient for my movers. The facility is nice, clean and well maintained. My only con is they advertise as temperature controlled, but it's hot in the actual unit if you go to add something or take something out (keeping in mind it is currently July). Otherwise, they definitely have their stuff together and I would recommend them to anyone in the area needing a storage unit! read more

This place hasn't been climate controlled since I moved in years ago! It's freezing in the winter, hot and muggy in the summer, NEVER and i mean NEVER climate controlled. If you need to go in your space for some reorganizing or some digging, it's best you go when the outside temperature is comfortable, oh and be prepared for constant price increasing like the other reviewer said, 100 percent true. Derek was great today when I stopped in. I am renting a unit at another extra space storage facility in Virginia and was told I could stop by any location and sign my lease. Derek helped me out and answered all my questions about the size of my unit and what it could hold. He also helped me out with the boxes I needed as well as the lock I needed for my unit. I'd give 0 stars if I could. I joined in February at a set price and received a random rate increase postcard in May saying my price was going up $15/month.
