We were far from a metropolitan area. Plus it being a Saturday made things worse. We had to call a locksmith and pay out of pocket for a replacement key. Which was a 1000. and finished at 2:30 am Sunday. Then coming home Sunday the truck broke down halfway home. I called roadside assistance again. This time they did set up a tow, but for the next day. We had to find a place to stay for the night. Which we did. I started getting calls at 7:00am Monday for our tow. Brooke from Enterprise was wonderful to deal with. Very apologetic about everything. She arranged for the rental to be towed to my house. So that we could unload it. She said that we could take the time needed to unload. Once we finished, to let her know. Then schedule it to be towed and repaired. There was no pressure to unload quickly. I never felt that Enterprise blamed me for any of the problems I was having. The following day, I reached out to Brooke about the final amount due. Brooke was very fair and I was very pleased with the final bill. I would definitely rent from Enterprise Truck Rental in Modesto or anywhere else due to service we recieved from Brooke. Thank you very much for turning around a bad weekend,to a pleasant experience. When I showed up at 9:30am on a Saturday, I was told there were no trucks available. The person that helped me told me that she wishes the online system wouldn't let you book them because there were none available for the whole month due to companies renting them for holiday deliveries. So I had to find another truck option the day of my move. To add insult to injury, they added a $150 'no show' fee to my credit card. When I called to have it removed they told me next time this happens I should CALL THEM to tell them to not charge me for a no show. Egregious experience all the way through. Why give you a confirmation email with a pick up time and let people show up only to be disappointed? Their local system clearly doesn't talk to their nationwide booking system.

When he went inside to talk to an employee, this employee ( white guy with beard, thin, with glasses- didn't get his name) told my husband that because he checked in online, my husband "froze their system". That just sounds ridiculous! If your system froze, that sounds like a U-HAUL PROBLEM! The guy was just standoff-ish in general. THEEEEEN, later when we returned the van, my husband just barely pulled up and was getting ready to get out the car when THAT SAME GUY, just abruptly opened the driver door, startling my husband, thats very rude!
