That was still very reasonable, much less than other movers I called. He arrived a week later with the truck, 3 other men, many straps to keep the piano stable in the truck. What amazed me was that he then proceeded to wrap my 60-year old piano in plastic, further protecting it from damage. The men were super polite, and they made the transport within an hour, moving into my friend's home flawlessly. I highly recommend this outstanding team! Just one more item: I did prepare a written contract with the agreed-upon quote and delivery address. Kelvin gladly signed it, keeping his copy and returning mine. This gave me peace of mind that I might not have had otherwise when hiring someone I did not know. A few weeks into my brand new purchase, I noticed some strange noises, I immediately called my sales person (Mike) to let him know that it sounded as if my brakes were bad. They gave me the run around. Oh Mike isn't here today, call tomorrow blah blah blah. When I finally decided to just visit them, Mike test drove my car and confirmed what I heard. He goes back and lets his supervisors know what he witnessed... The supervisor gave him (Mike) a paper stating that my brakes or atleast 1 was replaced brand new. He states "Oh sometimes these brand new parts can sound like that because they're trying to adjust"... I've never heard of that! Fast forward, here I am 2 months into my purchase and I'm getting my transmission looked at and serviced and, get this, the brakes as well... who knew please be cautious, those places like north coast and or buy here pay here company's aren't the only ones distributing lemons. These lemons just happen to look good.

My in-person experience was relatively good - good enough that I was posting about it to family and friends with high recommendation. But the day after the move I went to set up my TV and discovered that the screen was severely cracked, having been (it seems) pinched in the top two corners. The crack spread across the entire top half of the screen. The TV works, but is unusable. I had to buy a new one, which cost me almost $200. I submitted the damage complaint twice and was not even contacted. For a company that calls and emails every day for a week trying to GET my business in the first place, that is particularly gross. As it stands now, I can't imagine ever using or recommending College HUNKS again purely because of the lack of response to my complaints, let alone lack of resolution. If you don't have anything fragile, sure, go ahead. But maybe move the fragile things yourself (my TV was the only fragile thing I did not move myself, and I sorely regret it). I will add that it was a 3.5 hour job that involved moving down from a second floor in a house and then up to a third floor in another house, and the TV was the only thing damaged. It was not packed in a box and the movers assured me they could use their TV bag and it would be fine. It was not fine.
