Well, well, Yelpers, your girl is back with another YELPTASTIC review…read more I visited this UHAUL location on Clark Ave. in early June 2020 when I needed to get a small sofa moved from a friend's house and into my apartment (free sofa by the way). June 2020 is the same time when the Coronavirus outbreak was rampant across the USA and the world. I can't remember if any U-Haul employees were even wearing masks I got a rental pickup truck (see photos). I didn't need any extra equipment such as a rope but if you do, they have supplies available for purchase inside the office. TIP -- Renting during a weekend is cheaper because it costs less per mile than if you rent during the week. "It" meaning gas I believe. Before I arrived, I had previously booked the type of car that I wanted to pick up online. Then, when I showed up on Saturday morning, a front desk clerk helped me check-out the rental car. SERVICE -- Service was smooth from the moment I arrived to the moment I returned. When I arrived, one of the employees explained to me the basics of the car and also refueling the vehicle before I returned. I also could pay to not refuel the car but I choose to out petrol/fuel back in the vehicle myself after I was done driving. I waited just a little bit for the car guy to bring out the rental car to me but it was less than 5 minutes. Once I was done using the rental pickup truck, I returned it with the car keys. If you can't return the car during office hours then you can still bring the car back - just park it and there is a drop off box for you to place the keys in. TIGHT PARKING LOT -- One thing I will note about this location is that it is in a very tight location. The parking lot is where all the U-Hauls are parked so there is really no where for you to park your car as you go into the office. I was lucky to find a spot to park my car while I was in the office for a few minutes. Overall, this is a solid U-Haul (3.5/5 rating) but I probably will visit another location the next time I need to rent a car. Preferable, I'll visit a location that is bigger because the parking lot here at the Clark Ave. location is non-existent. They have been in business over 3o years and the young men in charge (Tim , Tony) were so professional, polite and total gentlemen! The store is open, organized and neat! The equipment is handed to you clean. They provide any instruction needed, take it to your car and come right out when you pull up for return. They are well competitively priced and honest. They even took a look at my personal sander I thought I broke and fixed a simple repair for me! I highly recommend this spot for rental of any handheld or heavy duty tool or equipment!!!! In addition to handwriting a $300 late fee on my contract, they forgot to provide the moving pads. Because I'd picked up the truck at the end of the day. I couldn't address the issue until the next day. I called FOUR times and was immediately put on hold for almost an hour trying to get the pads. Of course, this meant that the movers I'd hired to move my stuff refused to move several items because they didn't have pads, so it took a few hours longer than I'd anticipated, and I was charged for an extra day--for both the rental AND the pads I never received! To add insult to injury, I'm going to have to file a charge dispute with my bank just to get a refund for the pads because no one at the location or from customer service will help me. If you're planning to rent from UHaul, avoid this location!

EVERY other time was simply to have a propane tank filled up, and I'm NOT kidding, it was never smooth. 100% of the time, and I'll say it again, ONE HUNDRED PERCENT of the time, there are employees working who don't care or are simply overwhelmed with tasks. I have waited literally forty minutes just IN LINE to tell someone I'd like a tank filled because they have ten people in line waiting to be taken care of and the one or "maybe" two employees on duty, work with ZERO sense of urgency. So, I've personally come to the conclusion that they are most likely understaffed and overworked which leads to apathy, and I know in a lot of cases that's just it. Most of the people working there are good people but are working their butts off. Anyhow, I called this location today with just a question, a simple question that would have taken literally fifteen seconds to answer, but when I called a woman answered and asked if I could hold - and I said "Yes", and then I was waiting for fifteen minutes with the same, recorded message on loop every twenty seconds. I just hung up. UHaul is famous for their horrible customer service, in my opinion. How about, you know, STAFF ENOUGH PEOPLE to have a functioning business? My brother, the packing guru, used straps to secure items. When I opened the door upon arrival in California, not a thing was out of place or damaged. It truly could not have been easier. We emptied the unit at our leisure (3 day window) and they promptly picked it up. I'm so glad I arranged to have items shipped. My kids were right - I would gave regretted not having my dad's desk. The customer service was impeccable each time we communicated. Once dropped off, we had three days to pack it up and lock it and they took care of everything from there. They moved the unit from Ohio to MN and even stored it for us for a small fee until we could move in. They dropped the storage unit in front on our move day and had it picked up and out of the way the next day. Highly recommended!!!

Scheduled a 10' truck rental to be picked up from the North Royalton Uhaul location to be dropped…read moreoff at this location. I also ordered a dolly and the insurance online prior to coming to the location to pick up. On the online order I mentioned / put into the request it was to be returned to another location, 30 miles away (Kamms Corners). I also mentioned this multiple times when I went to pick up the truck and they confirmed as they were looking over the order. They also overcharged me for a different dolly as they did not have the dolly I reserved online so they gave me a more expensive option. When I tried to return to Kamms Corners, this U-Haul location said I could not and had to return it to the original location. When I mentioned I stated this at least three times, the response was "you can call Uhaul customer service at Corporate if you want lady, but they or we can't and won't do anything". So then having to go back to the original location (North Royalton), there was a major accident on the highway next to the exit to the North Royalton U-Haul that delayed the drop off over an hour and a half. I called in advance to say I was coming 10 minutes after they closed- however no one would wait, and they said return it to the after hours drop off, which again was yet another additional charge. Not sure how anyone moves across the country with Uhaul if they are this messy between locations under 50 miles - such a terrible experience - avoid if you can!
