    If you want terrible customer service please feel free to go to this location for U-Haul. I get the fact that work is stressful, but with my experience here it seems like the employees don't care to show attitude with the customers at all! See I'm easy going and open minded person, so it would take a lot to piss me off and this place knows all the buttons to press. My husband and I received eye rolls and huffing and puffing from one of U-Haul's employees. Not to mention we waited a good 20 minutes for service. I will never come back to this particular location ever again.

    Terrible service. I was waiting in line for an hour and by the time I got my van, it didn't work. Stay away if you can.

What Avis did to me over the past two days wasn't just bad service -- it was dishonest, careless, and emotionally devastating. I am a disabled veteran, and because of their incompetence, lies, and refusal to do the right thing, I missed the funeral of one of my closest friends. Here's exactly what happened: I made a reservation for October 1st at 2:00 PM at the airport location. Before I even arrived, Avis had already charged my card for the full amount of the reservation . So when I got there, I was completely blindsided when they suddenly told me I needed to present a credit card to get the car. The only reason I was blindsided is because they had already taken my money -- they were happy to charge me first, but had no problem giving me it back especially after the full amount was already charged and enough on the card for a deposit. Then, the staff told me they can't help and to call the reservation line where they told me another location had another car waiting for me and that they would change my reservation for me . I did not cancel anything -- they changed it themselves and promised I'd be taken care of. Trusting them, I spent money on Uber rides to get to the second location. When I arrived, I found out it was a blatant lie -- there was no car waiting for me, they were actually completely out of cars and this is not even 20 min after getting off the phone with the reservation line. And no one cared. Instead of helping or taking responsibility, they shrugged it off and told me to come back the next morning with my debit card with 300 dollars deposit , assuring me that if I showed up at 8:00 AM, when the store is supposed to open, my car would be ready and waiting. So, I did exactly what they told me. I showed up at 8:00 AM sharp the next morning, expecting my confirmed reservation to finally be honored. But when I got there, the location wasn't even open yet. I had to stand outside and wait for someone to finally show up. When they did, I was told -- yet again -- that there were no cars available, the only option they gave me was wait until someone drops off a car. I waited, still holding onto hope that someone would make this right. After all that waiting and a vehicle finally showed, during check out and running my card AGAIN for a reservation they finally told me I couldn't rent a car at all because I didn't pass a credit check -- a credit check that was never mentioned to me at any point during this entire ordeal. I brought everything that I was told required. By that point, Avis was holding hundreds of dollars of my money, and when I asked for my funds back so I could try to book a last-minute flight or another rental elsewhere, they flat-out refused. I was told I'd have to wait 5-7 business days to get MY OWN MONEY back. I didn't have enough left in my account to make a third reservation or buy a plane ticket. I was stranded. Because of their lies, lack of communication, refusal to return my money, and total mismanagement, I missed my best friend's funeral. That is something I will never get back. Two full days wasted. Hundreds of dollars tied up. Multiple Uber trips paid out of pocket. Hours spent waiting, being misled, and emotionally crushed. Avis didn't just inconvenience me -- they caused real harm at one of the most difficult times of my life. This company is an absolute disgrace. Their management is incompetent, their communication is nonexistent, and their customer service is cold and indifferent. If you're reading this, do not trust Avis with anything important. They'll happily take your money in seconds, lie to your face, and then leave you stranded while they hold onto your funds for a week. Avis didn't just ruin a trip -- they robbed me of the chance to say goodbye to my friend. I will never forget this.

    My wife and I rented the smallest storage unit they had on the 3rd level with only two incidents…read more The first is getting locked in building Not knowing how to get out, I nearly had to break out of this accident waiting to happen. In a matter of a few months the second incident we are accused of bringing in food without evidence. It looked like we did. What we did was wife put food in our vehicle and we then went to unit. We were inocent as charged and it worked out this time but people have been maimed or killed for less.

Hours are generous and they were even open on July 4th when I was helping my buddy pick up an auto transport trailer to tow with the truck he had rented a couple days prior. The big knock on this U-Haul store is the downtown location. The lot is surrounded by city streets on all four sides so at busy times of the day getting in and out can be tricky especially if you're driving a big truck and pulling a trailer. The lot is just way too crowded with trailers and vehicles which can make navigating the lot a little tricky. There are a few designated customer parking spaces but but they can be difficult to get in and out of depending on all the other stuff parked around them. The first time I was there it wasn't an issue but on my second visit I had a tough time backing my car out of the parking spot. Overall the facility is okay and you can accomplish your tasks in a reasonable time and fashion, just be prepared to work at a little more than is necessary at most other locations.

    Terrible communication!…read more Called this location while at the airport because they had cars at their location. They told me over the phone a returning flight would dismiss the security deposit & explained how I could use my debit card if I didn't have a credit card. Either way, they told me one thing on the phone which led me to going to this location on Monticello. I get there and now I can't use a debit card and now they don't allow flights to cover deposits so now I really just wasted my time. Granted all of this was explained on the phone prior to a uber being booked! Terrible communication! I will not be coming back.

I was hit and my car was being repaired, I was told I had a limit that insurance was paying for the rental, so I clarified with them that I do not want to go over that. The worker then stated $900 would cover me up to a month so I should not worry. I was told I would be notified if I went over and that insurance would likely extend if needed. I did not receive any kind of notification and when picking up my rental, the woman told me to disregard the return date stated on my agreement, and I could return the vehicle to Classic Collision when I had my car back. Three weeks go by, I receive a call informing me that my rental was supposed to be returned on the 5th, and I am responsible for paying the days after (2 days). I stated that's not what I was told while scheduling the rental and I do not have the money to pay for that. Then I was told I have to reach out to insurance or pay/return the car today at 12pm (it was 9am when I was called). I explained to them the adjuster was not responding and that I am being backed into a corner here and I need a vehicle. They stated they understand the situation I am in, but insisted the car still be returned today, I clarified again that I did not have the money to pay them. I am crying and frustrated on the phone and their only concern is the car being returned. The manager was speaking with me initially, and was busy with a customer when calling back, clearly not concerned with dealing with the situation. I am not shocked in reading past reviews. I AM shocked about the lack of communication. I don't understand why I was not notified on the 5th, and why I received a call requiring the car to be returned immediately. Respectfully, I was given misinformation by one of their workers and in the end was basically told to figure it out. Basic human decency is lacking.
