The amount of issues I had was unreal. First, I paid for 6 furniture pads which they forget about but still charged me for. Second, you cannot park your car in their lot so you have to park at a local business and according to them 'They probably won't tow you for parking there'. On top of this there is no sidewalk to get there so after you park down the street you have to walk on the side of the very busy Silver Lake Road. In the winter the grass is covered in snow, possibly too deep to walk through, so you have to walk on the busy road while checking over your shoulder to make sure you aren't in danger. Lastly, I was told I could drop off the truck after hours for no additional fee as long as I put the keys in the drop box. Turns out you need to use their app to mark that you have returned the truck. I was not informed of this and was charged an extra $20 'Convenience Fee'. I can't speak for the equipment rentals. What I do know is this location usually has trailer hitch install slot available. I needed a trailer hitch (class 2) installed onto my vehicle. There were 2 problems. Most U-hauls in town doesn't have the hitch(takes at least 2-3 weeks for delivery) and there are another 2-3 weeks to be on the waiting list for the install itself. Call in this place and see if they have the part already and get the 'earliest' install. I scheduled mine at the earliest in the day: i.e. 7am when the store opens. What I did appreciate: open on Sunday, close to home What I didn't appreciate: Employee Derrick's attitude - Unable to find my order right away - Unable to fulfill my order when found - Derrick made comments to others implying that we were intruding upon his day - Overall, we were made to feel like he couldn't care less about us as customers - We were told that our order was cancelled and we had already been refunded - No response given to questions about why we did not receive notification that our order was cancelled or about the refund Recommendation: do not do business with this U-Haul location. They REALLY need to work on their attitudes, customer service and organization skills. read more

Talk about poor customer service. I went to have a hitch installed at this location. I placed the order online and was able to pick the install date. Very useful app but for some reason no one decided to check if the parts were in stock. They had 6 days to pick up the phone or shoot an email saying that the part would have to be ordered. The quickly took my money during those 6 days. The manager/owner was to busy doing other things that he made me call around for other locations. I also had to call in my own refund. What a joke! Don't waste your time here go to the Blaine store instead it is 5x bigger and people there actually know how to do their job. I came to this store 2 times before I was ready to leave then the day I get there they tell me the trailer I need is not available for one-way travel and I needed to go to Blaine to get it. I had to call and change the drop off time until later in the evening and when I went to pick up the truck, the man working orally confirmed my chosen drop off time. The morning of my move in date I received a very rude and unprofessional call saying that I did not bring back the vehicle when I should have. Rather than telling me that I could not drop off the truck at my chosen time, the employee changed the drop off time to early in the morning of my move in date. I had never rented a moving van before, and now looking back I realize I should have been more thorough in reviewing all the information before leaving with the moving van. However, this whole situation could have been avoided if I was clearly told that I could not return the truck in the evening. When I tried explaining this to the man on the phone he was extremely rude to me and didn't care to listen and proceeded to hang up on me. read more

Bryn, the owner of this U-Haul location, was on duty when we came in to pick up our van. He was rude and brusque and treated us like he couldn't be bothered to offer us the service we had paid for. He was also condescending and treated us like idiots, even though he was the one who clearly had gotten up on the wrong side of the bed. When we do business with U-Haul again, we will do our best to avoid having to deal with this man. read more
