In MN, keeping it safe not only means away from theft but also from salt and temperature extremes. I have found Classic Auto Storage to be an outstanding way to accomplish all of the above. Located in a nondescript, multi-level building in a quiet, industrial part of town, when you drive by it you would never know that within its walls are some of Minnesota's most precious personal automobiles. I rest very easy knowing that the building is secure, temperature controlled, maintained, and insured. The guys running the place are car enthusiasts and each time I have been in there, I am amazed at all of the auto industry nostalgia hanging on the walls and parked in between the lines. I winter a vehicle here every year and love dropping it off and picking it up because it gives me a chance to wander inside to see some of the other cool cars that are within. This is not a daily in-out type of parking garage so those looking for a convenient place to park need not even consider. It is designed for long-term storage like leaving it in for months at a time. Longer-term auto storage is a bit of a niche market that most people will not understand. But for those of you that do, this is about as good as it gets unless you are fortunate enough to have your own personal garage large enough to house your stable of addiction. I'm not originally from MN so being a vehicle enthusiast in this climate was a whole new education for me when I moved here. Thank goodness for this place. Without it, my auto hobby would have been short-lived.

They don't advertise (I found them via a google search), which was a little frustrating, but when I met the owner he mentioned that they always fill up and it helps them keep their prices low...which they are vs other options. I'll re-review when I pick up my car in the spring to see how it fared.

Being a local enterprise, they are attentive, easy to reach and do business with, adhere to their quote (an unusual event these days) and willingly finish as early as the job ends (also sometimes an unusual event with other firms). All in all, with a customer experience doing business with them that goes back to 2002, these are honest, good people to do business with. A move is stressful enough. Don't complicate it more than necessary.

Apparently this is the shadiest of all shady industries as searching for movers via Google will attest to. Fortunately, these guys are totally above the board and were terrific with our move. Aaron and his team of two packed our entire house in a single day and I would say did a better job that I ever would have in packaging our stuff. Other than a slight snafu where they didn't realize we needed a parking permit for the moving van on the SF receiving end, everything went far smoother than I could have ever hoped for. I highly recommend them for making such a stressful event very not stressful for us.

On the 30th we waited until 9:30am and nobody had shown up or called. We tried calling multiple times and nobody answered and their voicemail box was completely full so we couldn't even leave a message. I drove out to their location on the 30th and all their trucks are parked and doors are locked and nobody answered. We have filed a complaint with the BBB but I would tell everybody to stay away from this place as they either are taking peoples money and not providing the service or they are out of business.

Anyway, these guys were absolutely awesome. Super friendly and great to work with, took good care of my things, and were very open to whatever feedback or requests I had for how to arrange things. Also, I got quotes from a few places, and this was by far the most affordable. Another company quoted me over twice what I ended up paying with these guys. They got a big job done quickly, moving me out of a third-floor walk-up apartment with a tricky staircase that has four turns - I was amazed at how fast it went. And they were able to get my couch down no problem, despite the fact that the company I'd hired when moving in said it was impossible to get up and made me disassemble it on the street. Would absolutely recommend these guys. I'd love to never move again, but such is life, so when I do, they are my first call.
