tl;dr: Bryan is awesome, hire him! Sent a quote request thru Yelp, along with some pictures, for hauling away old carpet, padding and a counter. I don't remember how long it took to get a response from Bryan, but it was pretty damn fast. His quote was only $25 more than what I had in mind. So either I'm a genius at quoting hauling services or he has extremely fair prices. As points of reference, random guy in the Home Depot parking lot quoted $200 higher and another highly Yelp rated hauler's quote was almost double. BEWARE - My experience with Mr Brian was one of the worst ones in my life. I expect more professional, honor, and service. I've contacted U Junk - Brian to provide a quote on a home with items need to be disposed. Brian says he needs to stop by in person do a walkthrough to give me a quote. We pointed out areas we want to dispose and I even mentioned do not forget the cabinets inside as their are lots of items. Brian says, no big deal I've counted those. Keep in mind, before this I even send him pictures of all the items. His quote from the text he sent me first time stating $899 per load, later he says I normally charge $799 per load. Then he quoted $1,500 I told him few big furnishings will be sold by the owners. So we agreed on $1,300 total. He was there sharp at 9AM morning started the clean up. About 12pm noon, got a text message from him. Here it goes...Brian says the job is not what he thought it was and he was losing money?! Brian says the new quote is $2,000 from $1,300?! He says he is not in the business to work all day and make no money. This is where I want to WARN everyone is SHADY business changes price and does not honor original price in the middle of the work. I had other JUNK Removal companies quoted same price and never raised a dime on me. I told him I will not pay that ridiculous amount he propose, so I say do a good job and I will give you $1,800. After all said and done, there was a SAFE attached to the walls. I said where is the SAFE, Brian says it was lose and no one told him to not dispose it. I told him what about the mirrors in the bathroom you sure didn't take those and I didn't tell you to dispose those either. Then he says he only dispose DETACHED ITEMS. That SAFE is worth $400 and again SHADY business. Lastly, I did a final walkthrough behold he missed a bathroom where all the items not cleaned out. He calls himself a professional?! ADVISE TOO ALL, any contractors decides to not honor their original quote, increase the price in the middle of the job, lying, shady, not professional at all is not the company I would EVER HIRE or WORK WITH.
