We've always been a fan of supporting small businesses and going with the little guy when we have…read morethe option. So recently, we hired these guys to help us move since they seemed witty and pretty genuine. What a mistake! Bottom line: they were not careful with our things and caused hundreds of dollars in damage. We discovered quite a few damaged boxed but the coup de resistance was a smashed 40" television. When we called to point this out they said "too bad" and that it's all part of the risk of hiring movers! When we tried to argue with them they had the audacity to suggest that we smashed our TV before the move and planned to frame the movers for damage all along! As a final word of warning against us, they said that if we try to take them to small claims court it would be their word versus ours and there are more of them than us so good luck! When we dug a little deeper, it became clear that these guys are neither a legitimate business nor are they insured - which means when they damage something, they wash their hands and walk! Plus, we noticed that in the fine print of their contract they claim that they are not responsible for damages - in particular televisions, which suggests that they have a track record of breaking electronics. If you value your things, don't hire these guys. Get some reputable movers.

I ended up going with Kings Transfer for a few reasons (price was ok, but they always picked up the phone and asked the right questions) but was a little worried beacuse of their reviews on here. In the end, the move was near perfect. I packed myself but they did pickup transfer and delivery and everything arrived with only one small bowl broken. They were on top of everything and the movers were pilot on both ends. I would recommend.

We have had one- and two- star experiences with various moving companies in the past, so to be honest, I wasn't expecting much. But this experience was a pleasant surprise in every aspect. We were blown away by how organized the packers (Ron, Neil) were. They definitely knew what they were doing and how to best optimize the space in each box while keeping valuables intact. The guy in charge, Réal, was kickass. There is no other way to describe it, he ran the show and he was on top of everything. What I loved is that he was managing both the packing/loading and the unpacking/unloading at the final destination, so he was familiar with our belongings and how everything was organized. Kimberly in the office was a real sweetheart, and was extremely patient in dealing with us even when we didn't have many details of the move finalized (destination address, day of move, etc.) I chose Kings because they seemed to excel in customer service, and I was proven correct. They were not the cheapest quote I received (nor the most expensive) but I would gladly pay more for an impeccable move in which absolutely nothing went wrong. They did their due diligence with the quote: they asked for photos and detailed descriptions for what we had to move. They were responsive and gave us great information on how to make the move as efficient as possible. The day of the move, we got to two awesome people helping us. They were in time and they were quick to start and do the move. They also took great care of all of our items and made sure everything was wrapped up or properly dealt with prior to moving. They were quick, efficient, and nice to talk to. They also wore masks during the move. They even finished earlier than estimated, which meant we paid less than what we were quoted for. The workers ran out of tape to secure blankets to the furniture, so i ran out to get it, though the person in charge of the workers did pay as I brought him the receipt. My biggest issue was though the truck was too small. It wasn't long before it was noticed that it was filling up very quickly and i feel this led to many issues. My dining room table, which was bought as a single piece, had to be taken apart to fit and now isn't stable, no matter how much i tighten the hardware, and the extensions rattle loudly in their compartment. It also has a few large chips in the veneer. The frame under the leather of one of my couches has been broken as well. I want to be clear that I don't think the workers are as responsible for this as the person who estimates the size of the truck, because they tried their best to fit as much in as possible and positioned furniture in manners they likely wouldn't have if they had the space. Because not everything fit, I had to rent a truck the next day to finish the job, which was extremely disappointing. Tried to contact them multiple times, no response. Should have read the reviews first.
