We sent important documents from Fl to NC and paid $135 to have it guaranteed delivery by 2:00 next day. Apparently, they decided that flying it to Kentucky was the logical route. When we checked the tracking we were shocked to see it sitting in Kentucky ! Why not initially send it to Charlotte? The airlines always knows the weather patterns. They could have made the deadline. It sat in Kentucky for the night then arrived in Greensboro 1038 yesterday morning No movement at all until this morning. Finally out for delivery today. So $135 for a wed-thu-Fri delivery. We called UPS and they cited storms as the excuse... so were all flights cancelled? We were not told it would be a fair weather delivery. Why not a better, more direct route thru Charlotte? At the counter we were never told there were stipulations. They refuse to refund us for not delivering the envelope. I certainly think they should refund us. It was bad enough that they didn't deliver it; then to say no refund. Bad business! I will never use UPS again! I will continue to tell my story on line, and verbally.

Then after about 45 minutes, I realized I was going to have to pay that amount again to get it back and it would be much cheaper to have them fixed locally. She was extremely busy, but went out of her way to find my package and refunded it for me. I have used this store on numerous occasions with great service each time, but today was an above and beyond moment.

They were shipped (albiet very expensively) quickly and without incident. This particular shipment was personal for me so I needed reassurance that it would arrive in a timely manner and in one piece! I've personally never had an issue in this location and most definitely trust them with my shipping needs.

First and foremost they were 2.5 hours late (I could have looked past this) they started our move at 5:20pm, and were already exhausted from the earlier move that took "8hrs for a 2 bedroom" - this should have been my fist sign. When they first started loading my belongings they started with boxes rather then furniture. I figured they had a plan, though it quickly became apparent it wasn't going to work. Our living room furniture was loaded next, couches on their sides, and marble end tables stacked on top of each other- cracking the corner of one. At this point we were 2 hours in (7:20PM) just with the boxes and living room furniture! When they made it to the Master they wrapped the dressers, but dismissed the head and foot board-resulting in scratches in transport. Our king mattress was loaded in the middle of the truck making it impossible to load more items. At this point I decided to call who I assume is the manager to relay my frustration. I called 4 times, left 2 messages and sent a text with no response. I asked the Mover Gary to call and he too had to call more then 3 times. There is no way these 2 guys could be professional movers?! Come to find out, one of them was only a helper who "does not work for them!" Who tells the customer this??? I decided to have them stop loading items as they were out of room on the HUGE squeaky moving truck and quickly approaching our budget. Leaving the job incomplete. At this point its 9:23 pm (thank you to the pictures I took) when we arrived at our new home to now unload. They argued while they were unloading, they couldn't figure out how to work together to get our coaches inside (having already moved them from the apt) THEN the helper had a curfew of 11:00pm for where he lived. Since Gary was unloading (the employee of Big Red) he asked if I could take his helper home so he wouldn't get kicked out of his place. This being a homeless shelter in down town! Once again being understanding I choose to help the guy out, and took him there. When I returned Gary was done and I needed to speak to the "manager." I was going to be charged $602 after Jason taking off time for the constant breaks his workers took. Again sharing my experience thus far with the manager I was told he could only take off $150.00 per his boss. $150.00 based on all of this???? What standard does this company hold themselves to if this is acceptable! I had to get my own Uhal to go back on Memorial Day weekend to get the rest of my belongings and pay Big Red $452.00 for substandard work! It was agreed that I would be reimbursed for the Uhal, and called by the owner Tuesday when he returned from the holiday with his family. Today's Tuesday and I called both Jason's cell number and left a message, called the office (the mailbox was full) and sent a text. Only to receive the reply at 1:39pm of "Sorry I am on a moving job I will call you in a moment." It's now 9:17PM and still now call. This is absolutely unacceptable!!! Thank you for making the move to our newly purchased home MISERABLE!

If anyone has tried to talk to a live person at FedEx I would appreciate getting the contact…read moreinformation. It is impossible to get to a live person regarding a claim. I'm sure that it's because they don't want to talk to actual people about the absolutely horrible service they provide. I filed a claim in September, followed up on it about a month later only to be told that it was delayed because they were still looking for the package. Needless to say I was extremely upset. I was finally able to get to someone who promised me that they would escalate my inquiry. That was two months ago and I have not heard from them. I tried to contact them today only to get a total run around. Their automated system said that the claim was denied although I haven't received any communication from FedEx whatsoever. No matter what I try I am unable to get to a live person. The claim was for one box out a five piece shipment. The five boxes made up one total item that I was returning. Because one box didn't make it I couldn't receive a refund for the return of the item. Now I am out not only the cost of the item (the return window closed) and the cost of shipping an item that never made it!! How does that seem reasonable? If I could rate FedEx lower than not good I would do it in a heartbeat
