I had a leak in a pipe that carries water to the detached garage. Thinking that all pipes could be…read morefixed like PVC (with PVC cement and couplings) the initial fix ended in absolute disaster. The black piping that I had was poly-something-or-another, and I realized that I didn't, in fact, know what I was doing...at all. So, when I walked into ACE, I essentially held up the bit of black piping that I had removed and was like, "How do I fix this?" Not only was I pointed in the right direction to find the correct replacement piping, but a phenomenal employee also helped me find the correct items for the repair and walked me through the steps to fix it. Alright, round two -- I repaired the pipe just as instructed and I still found myself with a light dribble of water coming out, no matter how tight I got the clamps. I walked into ACE a second time with a picture of the repair work on my phone. I asked the same employee, "Did I do this right?" and shared that it was still dripping. He gave me a patch to wrap around the coupling inserts, further instructions, some words of encouragement, and I was on my way again. Round three. I took it all apart and added that patch and BAM, worked like a charm. In my son's own words, "Wow, I didn't realize this would be an all-day project." Me neither, bud, haha. But I am SO beyond grateful for the friendly and helpful staff at ACE. Couldn't have done it without you guys!

Choice told me they would have a tech ordered in 24 hours. And then daily it was a "soon" thing. Aaron gave me an appointment 3 days out. He diagnosed my fridge in 15 minutes. Wrote a report and even submitted it to my home warranty company for me. ( above and beyond). Then they came back days later with, we want photos of the leak. By then my fridge was gone, replaced and the leak was in an inaccessible part of the fridge up in the sides of the fridge, encased in foam insulation. Not repairable and not accessible. In any event. However, when my stacked washer/dryer wasn't working, I called Tony's, and I couldn't be happier. Kyle came out, figured out the problem, and fixed it. He was friendly, knowledgeable, patient, and efficient. The fee was pretty reasonable, and Dawn, who made the appointment, was quite professional. (He's come out a second time since, but the problem wasn't the appliance. Kyle was great then, too.) Kyle mentioned that he thought all the appliances in my home were from Tony's, and he's right. I checked the big book of house documents the sellers left for me, and all the receipts are right there: for the fridge, the washer/dryer, the dishwasher, and the microwave. I have to say that I'm not terribly gentle with appliances, and these are SOLID. They're relatively new models, and they are all in great shape, work well, and look nice. If I had to replace anything, I'd do it at Tony's. If you haven't been by, check it out--the place looks great! Tony's is a big bright spot in the Illinois Valley!

Clueless woman at the counter said they don't fill tanks but redirected me to the local Chevron. I asked about tank rental for my home and she said they had a minimum 125 gallon tank but was not able to give me a rental price. I also asked what the going rate for propane was and she didn't know but guessed around $5 per gallon. It was as if she had better things to do than help out a potential customer. No thanks. I'll go elsehwhere. I did fill my tanks at the Chevron and got excellent service. Propane was a little over $3 a gallon.
