7/17/26 GREAT experience!! About ready to have a meltdown! My iPhone wouldn't let me enter or type in my passcode correctly to do so!! Couldn't do ANYTHING!! I went to AT&T to try to get help. She had no clue. Directed me to go to U-Tec down from it!! Best thing ever!! Greeted by Kimmie. She was great. Confident in getting it fixed. Apparently, very messed up. She was supposed it didn't break down sooner with the big pixel dot showing. Told I could take a sear inside and it would be about 30 minutes. Sat down. Safe, clean, cool and comfortable. A lot of cute cases to view to buy. Before you know it, I was called, it was fixed and working!! Thankful!! Paid for it, told I could contact if any issues, but shouldn't be and wished. Good day!! Booted up my laptop Sunday afternoon to prep for Monday and was met with the blue screen of death. I thought my camera glass had shattered on my iPhone. They had me come over, and looked at it and told me it was a camera protector that had shattered. A bit embarrassing to me, for sure. It would have been reasonable for them to charge me a diagnosis fee since I did take up their time, but they told me no charge and asked me to just think of them next time I needed something - and I definitely will. read more

I asked for a iphone 7 color swap, not only could they do it, but they did it on short notice and in less than 4 hours while everyone else around town was telling me it would take days! They went above and beyond to make sure that I was taken care of so I wanted to make sure I left a solid review to show there business was a pleasure and deff will be coming back! I'm updating this review: Come to find out I started having battery problems because the lack there of care when installing the phone back properly, they left some sort of oil residue and I was missing multiple screws and other parts. I came in to get a price for a new camera install on my phone. The price was great at $60 for the new camera install but here is the kicker- if they break the screen while replacing it will cost me $200 extra (Ouch) but they will give me 50% off the camera install if the LCD does break and that is only a savings of $30. Recap- best case scenario $60 or worst case $230. I did watch the videos on how to replace the camera and the repair is not the easiest I must say. With the price being up in the air until the job is completed I will just wait and get a new phone thru my carrier. If I do decide to get the camera replaced I will come here to get it done. Can improve on communication and customer service. I was going to rate this experience as a 1* but had good experiences 2x prior to this one, so I was going to rate with 3* for poor communication. Was going to lower to 2* for poor service & communication again today, but raised to 3* as they called back with a better accounting and expectation of services. My husband dropped his iPhone, cracking the whole backside. He dropped it off yesterday morning to be worked on. I understand we're not the only customers and was so surprised when they said it would be done after 5pm and I would receive a call. No call, no voicemail--so I took the initiative to call an hour before they closed at 7pm just in case my phone declined them as a "spam risk". I was calling for an update and they advised it was still in diagnostics, so I asked them to clarify if that meant they hadn't started working on it yet since that morning? They apologized and advised it was actually in progress, or something like that--vague. The company also advised they were very busy--which I understand with the holidays and COVID. My husband and I are fortunate to still be working full time during COVID, have an immunocompromised family member at home and live on the other side of town--so we're busy as well. The company didn't communicate they needed more time so I operated based off the same-day deadline we were advised. As you can guess, it wasn't ready. They said it'd be ready in the morning, so my husband can drive by again before work like before and pick it up--the technician even said he'd personally see to it. My husband drove over that morning (note: u-tech is in complete opposite direction from his job from our home)... and it wasn't ready. We even tried calling when they opened to make sure it was ready to avoid him driving over there unnecessarily... but we were sent directly to voicemail. They called back after my husband had started at work and gave what sounded to be a more realistic update, plus a discount. Honestly, I prefer upfront service over a discount for inconvenience. Don't make promises you don't have the time, staff or energy to keep it...and if you can't do something like you originally said you could, communicate it. Uh, amazing. From beginning to end. They've got so MANY skilled techs too. If one can't, then another one can. They even have a dude that does motherboard micro repairs. Like no one DOES THATT here in town. Or for atleast 200 miles apparently. And they're hours go late. Sooo my story: I found these guys by word of mouth. Upon leaving the Apple store, frustrated, and in despair, I came across a cell repair kiosk in the mall. After they were unable to fix my iphone, which was not responding to touch, they said that U Tec, in river park has THE guys. That they can fix ANYTHINGGGG! But apparently my phone had been so damaged by the store before who applied long screw damage to my motherboard during a screen replacement (grrrr) However, my second iPhone 6s, which had basically been just a paperweight for the past year because it would not charge, just needed a new charger chip soldered onto the motherboard. If you have an Apple product that needs a repair, just go to the Apple store. My friend recommended U-Tec, so I thought I'd give it a shot. I took my laptop in for a repair because it was super sticky after I spilled juice on it, but the laptop was still working. It took U-Tec really long to "fix" it, but it was still sticky. 3 weeks later, my laptop won't turn on and it will not charge. I took it to the Apple store and right when they opened it, they asked me if I had gotten it repaired somewhere previously. I said yes, at U-Tec in river park. The Apple worker had a smirk on his face as he explained to me that there were parts in my laptop that were not connected properly after the repair. Great service. Fast repair. Super friendly. Would recommend. I have never broken one of my phone screens before in the more than 7 years I've had an iPhone. I always have that bad boy in a case. I've dropped it a few times, but the case has always prevented damage. I even dropped a phone in the lake a few years back and it continued to work fine... it is just impossible to play Pokémon Go with a cracked screen. :/ this last drop, I tripped and the screen fell face down and shattered. Be careful when talking ur iphones in to get repaired done, I took my daughters iphone8plus to get the screen replace and the guy Michael ask for the passcode to the iphone (dumb me gave the passcode) somehow when i got the iphone back i didnt think of anything and didnt check anything. When i took my iphone in it was 128g, now i check and my iphone is a 64g. Also the battery is been draining a lot. The iphone screen already cracked again. I dont know what he did to my iphone but the dude talk to nice and i didnt think he would be able to do this to me. I guess not everyone is nice. Just be extra careful everyone.
