Wenceslas Square is about 5 minute walk, Old Town Square 10-15 minutes, depending on your speed, Charles Bridge about 25 minutes. The hotel itself is very clean and quiet. My room (n208) was on a smaller side but that's fine if you plan to spend your days exploring the city. I enjoyed a very comfortable night here, quiet and undisturbed. The stuff was super nice and I especially appreciated the luggage storage after check out.

Falling in love with Prague everyday... but not with this hotel…read more Hotel is very close to the mall, to the tram and subway (5minute walk) making it very easy to go/access the attractions of Prague. Rooms were very hot (typical European air-condition). Rooms were semi-old. Bathroom is NOT elderly friendly and not recommended if you are traveling with anybody older. Breakfast was good, fresh and always re-stocked.

The breakfast room was very inviting and filled with others going to the Prague 2024 special convention declare the good news. They have an omelette station as well as boiled and scrambled eggs and tons of sides, breads, desserts, deli meats seeds and my favorite was the hot teas, acacia honey and the daily hot soups. I added the cilantro to the soup. We are from florida so I'm cold here and the soup kept me warm. The service in breakfast room was excellent. The staff was friendly and helpful. Empty containers were refilled promptly. The hotel has the option of passing on room service for a free drink voucher. If you're able to reuse your one towel then I suggest you take it. Room service was not the best. The a/c has a dusty smell. The shower is difficult to get into unless you're very tall. Some corners of the room were not clean on arrival and the same until departure. One other issue. This hotel is located within walking distance to wonderful eateries, train, tram and easy to go anywhere. The only issue is that It is located in a spot where to leave you must walk down quite the slippery little stones and coming uphill is even more difficult. The rest of the walk is very easy.

The concierge and all the staff really went above and beyond to help us with anything we needed. Hailing a taxi for our very early flight? Done. Wake-up call even earlier than that? Done. Calling the airport multiple times to track down our luggage? Done and with updates regularly. They are just so helpful and polite. We had hit a rough patch in our travels but staying at the Clarion really put things back in balance and you can't say that about every hotel and especially hotels under a name brand. Our room was very nice, tidy, and clean. When we first got in, they even prepared a map of the city and brochures for nearby dining. On top of all of that was a nice fruit platter which was very welcome coming from Italy and not really eating any veggies or fruits at all, oops! In the room at the top floor you'll find a cable to hook up into the internet, or you can use their wi-fi. There is ample closet space for your belongings. The restroom has a raised bath so you have to be conscious of that. One of the best features of the room is the balcony. On our last night at Clarion, there were fireworks going off outside and the balcony is the perfect place to view them right over the river. Also, Clarion has complimentary breakfast and the dining area is spacious, clean and very inviting. In the states you expect a bagel and coffee and some hot items if you're lucky. At the Clarion in Prague there was all sorts of options and plenty of choices including multiple traditional Czech sausage dishes, bacon, a fruits and salad bar, and poached eggs. There's a grains bar where you can customize your own cereal with pumpkin seeds and numerous other options for your breads. There were scones, danishes, and other sweets too. They even have fresh juice and an espresso machine and that was all very welcome. The Clarion also has an area for thai massages and I wish we could have taken advantage of it but nevertheless the prices were very reasonable. However, the best thing about the hotel has to be the location. It is a brisk walk away from the huge Palladium shopping center where they have H&M and pretty much any store you can think of. Old town square is a 5 minute walk away as well as the Charles Bridge and other attractions. Definitely had a great stay at Clarion and I thank them for all they did!

And it is a good…read morething; to sleep quietly and still be just 5 minutes walk from the Old Town Square or the Republic Sq. The hotel boasts 90 practically designed rooms with en-suite bathrooms (small tub in every one), mini-bar, tea/coffee making facilities and free wifi. The lobby is a bit small, however you can spend a pleasant time at the Benada restaurant which is not just another boring hotel restaurant but a good place to have a dinner as well. The staff is very helpful and organized. They could smile a bit more but that is not a popular feature on Czech faces.

This is a gem of a hotel in the perfect location in Malá Strana…read more While it is no more than a few hundred meters from Charles Bridge and just down from Prague Castle, U Bílé Lilie is on a quiet side street and away from the hustle and bustle of tourists. Martina greeted me upon my arrival, and we had a lovely conversation about Czech culture and the Czech language. She was a joy to speak with and was incredibly helpful as well. My bed was very comfortable, and the air conditioner worked perfectly. Needless to say, I slept like a baby. Finally, I don't think you'll find a better price for a hotel in Malá Strana. If you're looking for a place to stay in Prague, look no further than U Bílé Lilie!

I don't even know where to begin! First of all, this hostel is outside of the city center, its…read moreabout a good 20-30 minute walk (depending on your walking speed) or a 5 minute tram ride which costs 24kc (less than a $1 USD) each way. The neighborhood MAY seem a little sketchy with lots....I mean LOTS of graffitis and some dark areas during the night but we NEVER felt unsafe! The hostel is super cute! It's got multiple floors (we were on the top floor, 4th) so be ready to do some climbing if you get one of the higher floors. Check in was super easy, they provide LOTS of information, maps and brochures. The common area seems to get used a lot with its comfy sofas and a big flat screen which plays movies constantly. The BAR downstairs was our favorite! My husband and I spent MANY hours down there meeting other travelers and the extremely friendly staff here! I'll come back to the staff in a bit. The drinks here are very affordable especially if you just stick to beer! The bar area is HUGE with lots of seating so there are always people hanging out here. They also have an outdoor patio area which we only used once because it was too cold (for me). Our room was the Hemingway room which has a living room (a sofa that turns into a bed as well) and a bedroom with a double bed and private bath. Since we were on the top floor, we had amazing skylight windows! Each floor seems to have its own kitchen area, which we did on our floor but didn't use it since we ate out more. They offer simple breakfast of toast, coffee and tea for 80 kc which we never took advantage of because we prefer having protein with our meals so we would just walk to a cafe that was open (ask a staff member or Yelp it to see whats open!) Back to the staff....we met soooooo many wonderful people here, both travelers and staff, that made this trip here so much more memorable! Greg, Neil, Alexis (sp?) and so many more! I can't begin to express how WONDERFUL each one of them are! Around the time we arrived, they city had a light festival going on so Neil took us on free walking tour after we spent hours at the bar with Greg. And this was just on the first night we arrived! I would absolutely recommend this to all my other traveler friends and to anyone who wants a true social hostel in an amazing city!

There's no AC but that fan was a lifesaver. Our hostel in Berlin didn't even give us a fan. -Laundry service... they do it for you and they do a good job at a fair price. -Good security -Helpful staff and fun activities Meh: -Location. 30 minutes walk to touristy areas or a five minute walk (up very steep hills) to a metro. The metro is cheap and fast. However, if you want to be in the heart of the action, stay elsewhere. Cons: -Our room, the Virginia Woolf, was near the kitchen and extremely loud at night. The walls are thin. -I didn't expect an elevator but those stairs would be tough on someone with more limited mobility. Suggestions for improvement: -The bathroom in Virginia Woolf would be so much better if you added towel hooks, a toilet paper dispenser, and a little shelf.

The man working in this cafe is incredibly nice and very helpful. We enjoyed the macaroons, salmon baguette, cafe latte, and the pear juice. They had a whole fruit juicer and i highly recommend getting any of the juices they have. The food is run over from the hotel across the street. Very great place!
