I upgraded the outlet to a product of my own choice, and their price for this upgraded product is similar to Amazon price with no mark up. So, no extra cost there. They aso gave me a 50 dollar discount for accepting their service. Again, their price and warranty are much better than local competitors to begin with. Duane installed. He was very professional, knowledgeable, and courteous. He made sound recommendations with safety in mind. He was very prompt and his workmanship was tidy and not haphazard. The enclosures covering the wirings did not look out of place. The whole work looked like a pleasant combination of both industrial and household. He also cleaned the area before he left. Used them at out previous address and it was flawless. Moved to a new home and the install was TERRIBLE! Charger was installed on the wall with the mounting plate upside down. The charger does NOT fit upside down, but they forced it to fit. Also the charging cable wasn't installed properly and jammed into place. Tech came back out and told me the way he installed it was correct and I was wrong. Also he had some choice words about be that I caught on camera which I guess he didn't see. I told him I am familiar with how its supposed to be installed since Ive had it for 2 years. Continued to argue with me until I told him to leave and installed it myself. The mounting location was also not correct. Overall, such a HUGE disappointment and poor quality. Disputing the charge. read more

Uber Energy was awesome. We recently purchased a home and top on my list was getting a charging station placed in my garage. One of the things that really drew me to Uber Energy was their website quote system where you can upload pictures of your electrical boxes, garage space, etc, and they can tell you what you need, where electrical conduit will be placed, etc, and get you a quote on your install without having to even come out (with a modified version of your initial picture of your garage to show you what your charger will look like when it's in place). Once they did come out they were on time, extremely friendly, and most importantly did an excellent job. I did not use their service because they had some VERY unsafe requirements for businesses that are under security compliance contracts. They refused to quote us without uploading detailed video of our space (which included secure equipment that we are not permitted to photograph or videotape for ANYONE). We would have happily paid to have someone come look at it without posing a security risk but they were completely unfamiliar with security clearances or contracts and only work if you upload video and photos of sensitive information. We had another company install our Tesla chargers. If you have just a basic home install and trust they have secure enough servers to hold your information, they seem like they can do it. If you are a business or security minded go further down the Tesla list and keep your facility secure. read more
