Turns out, the last shop that did our oil change didn't properly seal the oil filter housing cap, which caused oil to leak all over the engine. Jesse diagnosed the issue quickly, explained everything clearly, cleaned up the spilled oil, and topped us off with new oil. All at a very fair price. If he hadn't caught it when he did, our engine could've locked up. They've definitely earned our trust, and we'll be coming back for all our future auto needs. Highly recommend!

Drove an hour to get there just to find the car misfiring without anyone checking thoroughly. The car never had a misfire till they touched it. And they handed me the keys ‍ My rear differential also broke a month later. Turns out the mechanic failed to set my preload. They also sourced the cheapest gear oil possible but charged premium for it. Everything costed me more than $6,000. They even added oil changes I did not mention of wanting. I also called to ask for a quote for a brake job a bit after. After handfuls of missed calls, I told them I had all the parts and yet they still quoted me $2000. Absolutely ridiculous. After jacking the car up by myself I also found all my bolts on my under tray were stripped.

Four months after initially contacting this shop and getting an estimate from them, we were told today, they don't work on BMWs any more because they are too complicated with all their computers. We need a hood and a bumper cover. Nothing that requires even remotely doing anything to a computer on my car. In addition, my car is a 2004. There are 2014 Fords with more advanced computers than what my car has. To top it off, my insurance company has already cut them 2 checks to do the work - thank goodness those are still in my possession! I'm not saying this privately owned business has to take every customer that walks in the door. I'm saying that if you don't want someone's business don't string them along for 4 months. I also appreciate the integrity in engaging the insurance companies who want him to install used or remanufactured parts. He simply won't do it. Estimates are accurate and reasonable. Often the final bill is lower. Due to the volume of business and returning satisfied customers, it may take a couple of weeks to get the work scheduled, but it is professionally done and always looks as good as new.

Needless to say I was completely overwhelmed and panicked. I took my car to Mikar for an estimate and was told that in fact, the $4500 portion of the repair the dealer mentioned isn't even wrong in my car! The issue in my car was a known Lexus part failure--you would think the DEALER would know about and look for that. I walked out with a repair bill of $1300 (had to replace my rear struts too but for half what dealer wanted to charge). Ted and Mike were awesome, super patient and explained all the issues. I will take my car here for ALL maintenance and any repair that comes up. Even my tires. Such a gem, and so close to home. From the owner to the staff, everyone was profoundly professional, competent and left me feeling as if I dropped off a car costing 10x what mine does a moot point. As far as I am concerned if my vehicles can make it here that's where they're going. I couldn't be more pleased with the experience i had at Mikar. Give this shop a shot. There's a reason they service the exotic Lamborghini all the way to my Maxima. They know what they are doing, you are treated like you should be, and the prices are more than fair. I'll be back.
