Took 20 minutes and 1 cancelled driver, finally on the way to the game. Super driver, excellent. After the game, 2 drivers cancelled, after calling and texting. 3rd driver was the charm, lef the game at 3:45, got home 3 hours later, all time worst experience with Uber. Normally very dependable. What a nightmare. Never again Uber. Received Uber ride to our local auto parts (car needed water pump which was ordered and paid for yesterday.) I asked the surly Uber driver to please wait for me as I only needed to grab the pump. He never said a word. I get the part and no Uber waiting. Called my wife who could not reach Uber. She finally tried calling their lost item #. A man answered & when she explained what happened, he did not say a word and hung up on her. Final straw, I get a call from the fraud dept. of my credit card a couple of hours later wanting to know if I made 3 identical charges to Uber in 4 minutes. Unfortunately, I had a terrible experience with Uber today. My fiancé and I forgot our masks in our hotel room. Upon entering the vehicle of the Uber driver, he requested and asked if we had masks. My fiancé responded that we did not & forgot ours but he would run to the front desk quick ( 1 minute) and would grab two for us and apologized. The Uber driver did not allow us to exit the car and started pulling off. He then started aggressively verbalizing that we need mask and of the reasons for it. We then told him again, before exiting the parking lot, that we could exit the car and cancel our trip. He would not allow us to exit. He verbally said with an aggressive tone " this is a general conversation. Stop talking & listen". I did not take this well as it was an inappropriate conversation and the tone was set from the start of the trip. He then continued to harass us regarding the trip. We made it known that we would like to exit the car immediately after he pulled out of the hotel parking lot. He sped over three lanes almost causing an accident and kicked us out of the car with inappropriate language and aggressiveness " Get out.". We almost got hit getting out the car and then he almost hit us when he executed a UTURN while rolling down his window to scream at us. I immediately reported the entire situation to Uber support. Not only did they responded with saying that my concerns/ comments are dully noted, they charged three dollars more the the fare price. The customer stopper team is the worst I've experienced in my lifetime. Not only does Uber support " suck". Uber, the company, condones verbal harassment, endangerment to passengers, and aggressive driving. read more

My uber virginity has been broken! And I am a total fan on top of it! I'm probably the only person in this country who has never done Uber, but not to worry, I finally broke down! It was a short ride and I was nothing short of impressed! Kind of nervous being a female and all, jumping in a car by myself (com'mon you've read the news!) so I've never taken the plunge. I love that it's easy to get a ride, you can track the driver coming to you, the cars are clean (and not junkers) and all of the pay is cashless. Right around the same time, my husband scheduled an Uber and the driver failed to show, but still charged us and it was no problem filing a reimbursement. I love that there is no fight in a situation like this! I'm kind of bummed about the fact that sometimes you have to do Uber under the radar (a.k.a. Tampa Airport) because of the taxi/city "issue." Hey if the taxi cabs would have figured it out sooner, it'd be a different story. Until then, Uber has my business! Needed a ride for 6 to the airport and decided on trying out Uber in Tampa based on family recommendations. Everything went pretty smoothly until the driver who accepted the job, decided to take the scenic route and drive away from my location. I monitored the drivers whereabouts up until my requested time of pickup had passed. It went from an eta of 16 minutes all the way to 30+ minutes. My attempts to contact the driver went straight to voicemail. Cancelled Uber and went with Lyft, got picked up in 12 minutes and was on my way to the airport. Thank you Lyft! read more

Took an Uber at 5pm on a Saturday and was charged $43 which we thought was reasonable. When we wanted to return home at 10pm, the fare went to $210. That is clearly price gouging! And what is worse, you cannot even call them to complain. They obviously know this is wrong and that is why they won't provide a customer support number. They don't want to hear it. Worst company I ever worked for. First 2 drives, the app would not respond on my cell, selected arrived and it notified the customer, cust entered the car, select picked up and it kept adding waiting time to the customer. I decided to drive the customer on both pickups. Continued to add time and all I could do was cancel and don't charge the customer. Uber was basically non-responsive, all was explained in messaging, they wouldn't call me or the customers. 2 trips, no pay. I just love the obvious posting by drivers hawking their wares on line.... Me:"Hey- I asked If I get in an accident with you are LEGAL HERE IN TAMPA??? no..... Used Uber for the first time yesterday - twice. Car showed up within three....yes three...minutes. Perfect driver: professional, courteous, friendly, and helpful. Ride cost less than $5. Arrived at the restaurant (Bern's Steakhouse) to see that Valet parking there cost $5. Didn't have to pay to park and didn't have to worry about imbibing. Used Uber again on the way home. Ride arrived within four minutes. Driver was also excellent; professional, friendly, courteous and helpful. I can hardly wait to use Uber again. read more

UBER RIDERS WARNING Everyone needs to know this. If I could rate them 0 stars I would. I was ripped off by an unscroupulous Uber driver. And after reporting it to Uber it got me nowhere. I had a little dirt on my work boots, and after he dropped me off, he dumped some of the dirt off of the floor mat and onto his seat. Because I was wearing clean dirt free clothes.Then took pictures of it all and sent it to Uber so he could collect a $40 cleaning charge off of me that probably cost him .75 cents at a 7-11 vacuum. Uber automatically charged my card for it without letting me know first, and won't give me a refund. Not only that, but the driver didn't end my trip on his app. when he dropped me off, and drove about 5 miles down the road before stopping my ride so he could get more money out of me. Uber couldn't care less about that rip off either. So please let everyone know, if you want to be sure your not going to get screwed while getting a ride somewhere, call a taxi.. read more

This people at Uber are completely scammers siding with the con artist drivers . My son got a ride from his gym practice to our home , he commended to me that the car was dirty and kind of messy with stains on seats and sand on the floor etc. I received a charge for cleaning the car for $80 . For something they say it was vomiting and liquid spell when they send me the pic of the seat which appears to be a sweat mark where my sons butt would have been, the sweat would be dry in minutes and it will be gone - yet unbeknownst to me I was charged an additional 80$. When I contacted UBER and explained the situation they still say too bad you have to pay $80 . I have driven my son from the gym to home for over a year and do not have stains or odors in my car. This guys are completely rip off . From now on I'm giving my business to Lyft or local taxis . Not supporting UBER nor drivers that take advantage of a quick buck to get their already dirty car cleaned. read more

I​ have used UBER and never had this much trouble. The denial of personal care towards another person is beyond me. The UBER driver came and I asked for an ID. He should not have been taken back considering today's​ world. Not that I cracked my nail getting into his van he​ never got out to assist. You see that I am struggling--the gentleman at the garage​ helped me and closed the door. Now about tipping--probably​ most people do not tip but​ I DO. But, now I have to put more thought into it than I had planned. How do I tip you?​ Well,​ when my car is done I will try this cycle again with hopefully a different outcome. So cool to be able to see the cars available near you. I used the service twice while visiting Tampa. Both experiences were the same. Friendly driver, clean car, fair rate, and extremely prompt! There customer service is absolutely horrible. I tried to use uber while on a trip and a message says to scan my card. I've tried to scan it about 50 times. I get the green lines around it and nothing happens. I've been going back and forth with there so called customer service and they keep wanting a copy of the error message. I've told them 20 times I get NO message it just doesn't scan but they can't seem to understand. I can't believe such a big international company can't have a number to call to resolve issues. First time using UBER..EXCELLENT EXCELLENT. Vehicles were clean and drivers friendly and clean..great experience ..My car would not start and road service attempted jumping battery but vehicle must have issue not battery related. My employer contacted Uber in a.m...and my ride was in my driveway in 6 min..Helen in a Lexus to take me to work and James in new Dodge Ram truck to take me home in the evening. James was very nice and because of these two nice people it made what could have been a miserable day worrying about transportation issues not nearly as bad. Very pleased. I use food delivery services more now that I'm disabled and unable to go out very much. Uber eats is one I have used more in the past but won't be using again. This past Saturday 3-27-2021 I ordered a pizza for delivery, i didn't pay for their priority delivery since I'm on a fixed income and I feel that's just a way for them to get extra money. I feel that the pizza must have been hot when it left the restaurant but it arrived cold and I HATE COLD Pizza. I contacted Uber Eats to complain about that situation. After waiting over 24hours for an email response since you can't get ahold of them by phone like Doordash ( love them) they said I should contact their driver, now their driver is their employee not mine and they should take responsibility for the delay in delivery for a $30.00 plus pizza not I. Uber Eats customer service is not customer friendly at all. I dot not recommend Uber Eats at all. read more

Had to help a dear relative of ours get from a bad situation to a hotel. No cab would allow me to pre-pay from out of state with a credit card. But, Uber SAVED THE DAY!! Awesome driver, easy way to get her a ride. Super efficient and she was out of there before the abusive guy she was trying to get away from came home from work. Do NOT use this car service. Driver and car were clean and neat. Driven from my home to a doctor appointment and back was a horrifying experience. On the way to my appointment another man with long hair and tattoos was riding with us, he said was a "friend." On the way home a toothless woman with a baby rode with us, said was his girl friend and child. During the ride he tried to get me to tell him I was taking controlled substances (reason for ride). I had just begun taking Topomax and advised not to drive so had been unable to take my car in for service. He said he drives many "old" ladies and we are all on prescription drugs. They grilled me about my private life, would not stop talking about drugs, discussing friends who were "meth heads", etc. By the end of the trip I was beyond uncomfortable. My saving grace was my large adult son and his friend walking out of my house as we arrived. I truly feel if they had not happened to be there my experience would not have ended well. On the rare occasions I have taken taxis here over the years all experiences were pleasant so I was surprised that private car services are entirely another matter. read more

An Uber driver, by the name of Daniel came to our rescue a few days ago in Channelside, Tampa, and we will never forget this man's kindness and generosity. I took a bad fall on the sidewalk and had a large gash on my forehead as well as a fractured wrist. He pulled over and assisted me to my feet. He was so compassionate and calm in handling my fall and even drove my husband and me to the closest ER - all at his own expense. Daniel gave up his time to help us in our time of need. Used uberx on 2 recent airport transfers. They did a find job. Prefer uber to uberx but just happy they are in the area now.

The only way to travel whether clubbing. going to an event. running errands, shopping or anytime you need a designated driver. No DUI problems when UBER takes the wheel. read more

I LOVE Uber! I've used them several times now to include to and from the airport, as well as for evenings on the town. Not only are the drivers always friendly, but the vehicles are clean and in order. After a couple trips for just me, I've now trusted them to transport my family and I places as well. I like the availability of the vans/SUVs for airport trips. This service is always so smooth, prompt, and user friendly. I also like the prices. The fact that writing this review is longer than the trip to the airport from our house, and said trip would cost a MINIMUM of $18 in a standard taxi because of their zones is ridiculous. Same for the airport shuttles(shared with other passengers) at $15 for the FIRST passenger, when there are 4 of us. Uber did it for a little over $10. My Ybor trips have also been significantly less than the taxi price quotes. The drivers have all been different(older, younger, middle aged, both men and women), but equally cool and friendly. I can't see myself going back to taxis after the wonderful Uber experiences that I've had! read more

We have been using Uber for the longest time with no issues up until Saturday night. After requesting a driver, he arrives at the pickup location. We placed a few of our belongings in the back seat and told him to hold on, just running in to drop off keys and grab my to go food. With knowledge of our belongings in the vehicle, he cancels the ride as soon as we ran back in, and took off with our stuff. Worst part is, we were still charged! No number to contact a corporate office, and awful email response. I will use Lyft from here on out. The people at Uber are a bunch of crooks. read more
