He said he couldn't take us to T 3 bc he already put it in his GPS. Then , a few days later , I ordered a Lyft from my house ( out of desperation ). It showed on the app 6 minutes. Then 13 , then 7 and then 15 minutes. Finally, the app went blank. I called the customer service to find out what was going on. Of course , I got someone who couldn't speak English ( probably in India ). Finally, I figured out they were telling me there were no cars available in my area ( a big city ). I went to a Christmas party and when I called for the Lyft driver to pick me up, he made me feel very uncomfortable the whole way home. He repeatedly said how beautiful I was on multiple times the whole ride home. He even gave me a ring and said he wanted to marry me. I refuse the ring but he insisted so I took the ring so I had proof. When arriving at my home, I went to get out of the car and didn't realize he also got out of the car. He walked up to me and said he just wanted to give me a hug and so he leaned in for a hug and started kissing me. Not only was I disgusted, but I was offended. I would like to tell you a story about an experience I had this week with Lyft and ask you to never use them again I got in the Lyft car with very, very loud rap (think that was the type) music. I have listened to rap music through most of my adult life. However, this music had vulgar and cuss words throughout every song. I ask her to turn the music down. She turned it down slightly. The rude songs continued. I asked if she would change the station. She changed the station to the same type of station - non stop vulgar music and cuss words. When I got out of the car I asked her how her other passengers handle the music. She said they just focus on where they are going. When I got out of the car I said I have a bit of advice - you should turn down the speakers in the back. Before I got back to my apartment I get a call from Lyft saying I've been banned from Lyft because I made a derogatory comment to the driver. Apparently the driver called to beat my complaint. I explained to them the detail of the trip. They said I could challenge my ban by sending an email. So I wrote a detail email about my trip. I also attached clips of the music she had been playing. After all of this I talked to Lyft today and I am officially permanently banned. I spoke to Lyft, pushing the truth. No flexibility, permanently banned. No detail on what they think i said - it was confidential. Honestly I would never use Lyft again but I hate being accused of something I didn't do. It's very frustrating how upset I am. read more

In general I like Lyft, but I'm annoyed that there's no way (on either the app or the web) to report a problem with a ride that aborted. That is, I agreed to a ride and the driver accepted it, but the driver arrived at the airport where I was waiting (SRQ) and, when I approached the car indicating I was his rider, he suddenly hit the gas and left without me without any conversation or explanation. The app then told me another driver would arrive in a few minutes (which he did and the ride was uneventful). I have no idea what the first driver told Lyft as the reason for aborting; I wasn't dressed badly or behaving in a threatening manner. That a company would provide no way to send feedback other than in connection with a specific ride is astonishing to me. If I associate a complaint with the ride that did come a few minutes later, that driver would be unfairly dinged by my remarks concerning another driver who was a jerk. (I don't trust the app to understand that my remarks regard a different driver.) If I could give zero stars for customer service I would! I use Lyft more often than Uber, they tend to be a little cheaper, however, I will not be riding with them anymore. I recently used them to go to a surgery center and then to get back home. The fare there was $14 and some change and the trip back was $13 and change. Instead of being charged, these amounts my debit card was charged $25 and $25. For what reason I do not know. I sent an email stating that I was charged a different amount than i was quoted on the app and please correct it and I was emailed back with a simple "we do not refund, have a nice day." So if they had overcharged me by $100 or by $1000 they would not refund me? Get the eff out of here. I will dispute this with my bank which is usually pretty good about things like this if you have proof. I can't understand how they can do business like that. read more

How can a driver work in a city and have ZERO idea how to get to the airport?? The guy didn't speak English, didn't follow the navigation system, which was in Spanish, and wanted to take the interstate to Orlando, even though I was going to Tampa's airport. Lyft is Scammer: On Thursday 2/14/2019 @ 2:30 PM I requested Lyft ride from Embassy Westshore Hotel in Tampa to the Tampa Airport (approx. 3.5 miles ride from hotel to airport & cost $8.60). In route to airport The elderly man driver almost 85-90 years old turn wrong way although I inform him airport was the opposite direction & the his GPS was saying the same direction I stated. The Driver drove 9.5 miles away from Tampa airport & had travel back another 9.5 to get back on track. And, He had few opportunities to make u-turn but he would not. When did Lyft become so terrible? Before Covid I was in Tampa several times a year, never had issues. Wednesday I'm at the airport and not one, not two, but three drivers cancel the ride just as they're arriving, making me wait over an hour. The 4th showed. Two more canceled rides happened during my trip. And the wait times are absurd, never got a car sooner than 15 minutes. Lyft is a total disaster in Tampa. Do not use lyft in the Tampa area they take advantage of you. I took a Lyft on 5/22/2023 and it was in the amount of $38.00 when I agreed to it. Well, when I woke up the next morning there was a charge of $123.00 dollars on there. I contacted them and was basically told that I need to pay attention and that the driver was okay to take my money. So according to the helper on the app I was speaking too, a lyft drivers is allowed to take advantage of people if that are drinking. Be careful with this service. They take money and then when you report it, they sit back and say their hands are closed. I never felt so violated in my life!! Very Disappointed. Thought we'd try something new. First time using Lyft on March 5, 2023. Planned a round trip 5-mile ride from my house to LECOM Park in Bradenton to watch a spring training game. Planned pick-up one-hour before game was to start. Jean got lost. He went to the destination as opposed to the pick up location. According to Google maps my trajectory was 12 miles and 21 minutes long. I have used Lyft very often but yesterday's ride with CNell was FRIGHTENING!!! He was verbal abusive and I actually was afraid of his temper tantrums and violent behavior!! It was a very short ride thank goodness and I did get to my location but I have NEVER had such an experience. All the other drivers were exceptionally professional and friendly but riding with CNell was was an experience I never want again. So today I took Lyft. I told the driver I would like a quiet ride and prefer not to have a conversation or have the music on. The driver insisted on having a conversation. Long story short The driver told me to get the f*** out of his car. And so I was stranded on the highway. Thank goodness Lyft have a hotline number with real people behind the line. The operator apologized wrote a case report and got me out of the highway. I am extremely impressed! And it didn't take me long to get through the line! I have always found that Lyft is slightly more expensive than uber and now I know why You pay for the added customer service. You can have crappy drivers but at least a good customer service at the HQ level. This is such a big difference from uber - see my previous review on uber - apparently uber customer service is just an in app chat Definitely going to be a loyal Lyft customer for the rest of my life. First time using Lyft this past weekend! Our driver was really friendly and the car was clean, which definitely made a difference. It took about 10 minutes for our driver to get to our pick up location (St Pete area), but then it took about an hour to get from our pick up location to the drop off location (Busch Gardens). Maybe I'm just used to being a crazy driver, but this guy stayed in the right lane doing the speed limit instead of driving with the traffic. He also took a couple of wrong turns and so we ended up driving in circles not once, not twice, but THREE TIMES. Now, I love the idea behind Lyft. And seriously, a clean car and a friendly driver, and not having to have cash to pay...ALL good things!! I love the app, I love that I pay by card in the app. Definitely a huge improvement from the creepy (and often times unreliable) cab rides I've had in Florida. I'm not sure what nav system Lyft relies on, but when there are signs saying "Taxi/Drop Off/Bus Entrance" with an arrow pointing in the correct direction, and the driver just goes right on by...well...
