Service to have a Chromebook Flipscreen laptop fixed. Was it fixed or better than when I dropped it off? I don't feel happy with picking it up after dropping it off to a professional business who receives money from customers claims (and having to pay the service fee isn't cheep $100). Turn in a laptop to be repaired you would expect small things like wiping off your dirty hand prints after working on it. but since that service cost as a cleaning! So remember that you don't pay for a clean laptop just to have it work. No call to let me know it was ready, just by chance checked the status of my repair in Verizon's Asurion's website. I wouldn't take my money here if it wasn't the only choice that was available in Albuquerque that Verizon can use. To me it's gross! Getting it back like this because I didn't turn it in like that so I expected at least the same amount of cleanliness, but when I called to ask why it wasn't at least wiped off, I'm told that's a cleaning and not part of the process for the issue. They don't see an issue. So that shows you the amount of detail they care for your business. Not sure if the computer(/touch screen tablet )works so that will be the next review. read more

This is the closest Samsung authorized repair location to my home, and it's 180 miles away from where I live, so I made an appointment to make sure during a 2-day trip to Albuquerque, they would be ready with the parts necessary to fix the screen 0n my Z Flip 6. 2days after making my appointment online, I received an email saying it was cancelled (Red Flag #1). I called the office and it look a LONG time for my called be answered (Red Flag #2) The tech ASSURED me that I had an appointment for the next week and asked about my phone and the color (important to have the right part in case the whole screen needed replacement. When I arrived for my appointment, the tech couldn't find it (Red Flag #3). No problem, he says he can see the problem and it will take an hour to fix. GREAT! I come back to the store after an hour, and the tech tells me the phone screen needs to be replaced. It won't be covered under the 12 month Samsung warranty (of course) AND THEY DON'T HAVE THE PART IN STOCK but they will in five days. I explained I will not be in town in five days and explained the efforts I made BEFORE my appointment to ENSURE that they would have the necessary parts to repair my phone during my 2 day stay in Albuquerque. Many apologies and the tech could not understand why I didn't want them to order the parts and come back to the store, because I.Do.Not.Live.In. Albuquerque. Complained to corporate who replied with "We'll share your concerns with this independently owned location." Be careful! read more

Store should be called "I break then I fix" I took my husbands iPad in to get it fixed to surprise him for his birthday. The ONLY problem was the lock button was stuck down. The iPad worked great until it died then because the button was stuck he could t turn it back on. Anyways. I was quoted 60-$80 I thought. Wow that's great yes please fix it. Then I gave my husband $100 to go pick it up and they decided to tell him it would cost $300 because when the button was smashed it broke the motherboard. (The motherboard was obviously not broken because as I said, the iPad worked fine until it died.) so he did not pick it up. I went in to pick it up myself and talk to them (because I work in tech) to just try and see what happened. When I go in and ask why the price is so high they tell me it's because the screen was cracked and they had to replace it. Nothing about the motherboard. And the screen was NOT cracked at all when I dropped it off. This place will quote you very low so you think it's a great deal and then lie to you and continue to try and deceive their customers to cash out. It's absolutely ridiculous. If I knew it was going to cast $300 I would have just done it myself. On top of that they also threw away the $100 screen protector that was on the iPad. (You know, the ones that have a lifetime warranty so you don't have to continue to pay $100 for a screen protector every time) yeah. They just threw it away. So I'll be out another hundred bucks buying a screen protector because I can't get a new one if I don't have the old one. You'd think a company that works on tech would know something even as simple as that. But no they don't or they just don't care, and they're just waiting to worm you out of more money. 10/10 DO NOT recommend. I was also talked into their loyalty program because then it would be free to open it up and check out the iPad. If I was quoted fairly from the beginning I would have just saved my money from that to put toward the total to retrieve my iPad. This place is absolutely ridiculous. I took my iPhone 13 Max Pro for a back glass repair in June. I was told my phone would be ready at a certain time but when I went there I had to wait an additional hour for the adhesive to set. When I got the phone home, there was glue coming out the sides. I wrote a bad review, they called and offered to repair it again for free. At the time I was happy they were going to make it better, so I went back and they replaced the back glass a second time for free. 6 months later the battery has issues. The phone constantly turns on and off on it's own and goes from 0% to 100% charge in minutes. I took it to the Apple store and was told it's likely from the third party repair - that they damaged the battery when pulling off the back glass. I took it back to uBreakiFix and told them what Apple said, which they denied. Long story short, the "cheap" repair is cost me an entire phone. uBreakiFix gives the run around, and denies accountability. read more

Hayden answered, he was very knowledgeable, assured us he had the part, quoted us $285. Made us an appointment for 4:00, told us it takes about 2 hours. When we arrived at 4pm...guess what... it was EXACTLY as Hayden quoted. They took my phone, fixed it perfectly within an hour, I might add... and charge a far less amount than the other guys. When I got to the store, I was told they have no iPad technicians and I would have to drive to their other location on the west side. I can understand not having an iPad technician in the store. But then don't let me make an appointment for iPad service at this store, causing me to waste both the trip and the day waiting time. read more

Fixed my phone. Only for some gouges to the phone to occur evident after the repair and a very fine crack through the screen 1 week later with some minor jostling but no drop. No warranty on the work. I did save some money on the overall cost and service was prompt. Wonder if there is a better process for this problem. I never had screen issues previously. We had upgraded her iPhone 7 to an 11, and we couldn't get trade-in value for the 7 because -- no surprises, here -- the screen was cracked in several places. My prediction on where cell phones will eventually reside: our wrists. The Apple/Android Watch will eventually pimp out and serve every function of the modern cell phone, plus it'll be loaded with cool gadgetry, like holographic internet screens, a la wicked cool Dick Tracy. But in the meantime we have these clunky, stiff glass tablets that teenagers will stuff into their back pockets, and they'll crack screens. Unwilling to junk the device, we decided to refurbish at uBreakiFix. This outlet isn't complicated, a desk inside a strip mall, with signage out front noting that no more than two customers are allowed inside at all times. Covid good. My transaction was easy, the repair was industry standard cost, and I was told it would "probably take two hours, maybe more, we'll call you." About 45 minutes later I received a call from an unrecognized number (this was just prior to the election, when ghost calls constantly lit up my cell), I didn't answer, I doubt it was the business but I'm just noting this. No message. Nearly four hours later, I called the shop, they checked, "Yeah, looks like we got it done." I zoomed over just before they closed, paid, and took home a better looking phone. All in all, a three star experience. If that ghost call was actually from the business, they should have left a message and if it wasn't, they dropped the ball. After eight business days I began trying to call. 18 calls at various times over three days all were sent on unanswered to a full voicemail box. The website "contact us" was not functional. An alternative number given was also unanswered. They gave the option of a call back that still hasn't occurred after five days.So I made the trip in person to learn the status of my tablet. Not only had they not repaired it, they didn't have the screen in stock and couldn't tell me when they would get one from their supplier. Went to a competitor who offered a 24 hour turn around. My fiancé took his phone (Google Pixel) here because they are partnered with Google. The only issue was a cracked screen, but after waiting days to get an appointment because neither the phones nor website were working, he returned home with a fixed screen...but a battery that won't charge past 50% and shuts off if it's not plugged in. He ended up having to contact Google to get a replacement phone. Wish he could get his money back at this point (roughly $240) because even though the screen is fixed, it's unusable. read more

I'm pretty disappointed. Google recommended that I reach out to these guys. However, there have been several problems: 1) They often don't or can't answer their phone. However, their voicemail box is full, so you can't leave a message, and they don't leave any info like their hours. I mentioned it to a tech the other day, and he chuckled. I find that very unprofessional. 2) I brought my phone in for an estimate on ~ 7/1. They said that they would have to order parts. So, I dropped it off on 7/7 (I think) after they said that they received the part. Tech said it would be ready on 7/9. However, I don't hear anything from them, and I can't reach them by phone. So, I have to go down there (30-minute drive from my home). They tell me that they had to order another part (battery) and that the tech who was working on my phone had just been fired. Today is 7/14, and I still don't have my phone. 3) I have never received an email or a phone call from these guys, and they routinely don't answer their phone. So, I have to make the 30-minute drive in 100-degree heat to find out what's going on. This makes me very grumpy. 4) Thank GOD that I have a spare phone. What would a normal humanoid, who doesn't keep spare phones, do in a situation like this? 5) I'm getting emails from Google and UBreakIFix, asking me how my repair experience went--then they send me the a survey. What? I don't have my phone back yet? Why are they sending me these surveys if they still have my phone? Are they telling me that I ~should~ have my phone back? I realize that there is some risk in my posting this review while they still have my phone. I worry that I may never seem my phone again. However, at this point, I think i just want it back so I can take it somewhere else that is (hopefully) more professional. I also realize that these guys are slammed, and that they are very young fellows who need a lot of help. So, maybe someone could extend some adult supervision to these guys? I was very disappointed with there service! I dropped 2 ps4s for a to get them cleaned after making an appointment and was told I would only take three days, and my receipt said they w be done the next day. I didn't get them back for 11 days and then make up a story that they were done for 2 days when I called every day after the 3 days and it was always tomorrow. They said the issue was I didn't answer my phone so they must have had a wrong number. That was BS because they couldn't find my info when I went to pick it up and needed my phone number to find my work order. After all that they still made me pay full price even thought I was supposed to get 10 dollar off promo they had for each device and didn't apply it! Be careful everyone! read more

Buyer beware!! This may seem like a quick and cheap alternative to Apple, Samsung or other manufacturer repairs but it's just not worth putting the investment of your in their hands. We have an IPhone 13 pro with a broken back glass. Apple quoted $500 ish dollars & the store charged us $215 out the door. Easy decision right? Maybe easy, but definitely the wrong one. We had Ubreakifix repair the glass on Saturday June 4th. By Friday June 10th the phone was inoperable and the back glass was cracked. Never dropped, mishandled or anything, just cracked. We thought the 1 year warranty would cover this faulty glass we were sold since it had been less than a week, but NO! They said it appeared that we broke it. Couldn't find any impact marks of a drop or anything, but did offer a 10% discount to try it all again.... I think this place is truly a scam and would think twice before handing them some of your most expensive possessions!!! read more

So I had left my PlayStation 4 pro with them since the fan had gotten extremely loud and just needed a cleaning in which I don't have the proper tools for. They were quick in response the next day but yet failed to be able to even do anything because they said a screw was "stripped" from the factory. For one I've never even heard of that and two you would think they'd be equipped enough to be able to remove ONE SCREW. Should of just bought the tools and done it myself. Waste of time. read more

The phone is fine , it's fixed, but there was bad communication. If I was told that I would need Apple account info then I would have brought it with me, but I wasn't. I went back to the store, and waited in the parking lot for 40 mins, so I could get my daughters ID/password. Also, I was told they would call or text, which they did, but they also started emailing me without permission. The clerk never said email, they took it from my AT&T account and used it as they pleased. Did I want their emails, No. I have to use Asurion because it's the plan with AT&T. Aggravating to not be able to trust people to not do whatever they want with your information. What else do they do/take? What else do they have access too. Going back to AT&T and telling them/filing a complaint against them. Called 7 days and 10 days after my initial visit. Now they will not return my phone calls concerning status of my repair. Each time they told me "the computer tech is not in; he'll call when he gets in." When I told the person that the computer tech doesn't call, he told me that his boss would call me. Nope. He didn't call me either. Since I had no way to find out when (or if) my device would be repaired, I had to go out and purchase a new one. Very disappointed. read more
