Brought my pristine Pixel 9 Pro XL here for a vertical green line running from the bottom to the top of the screen. This is the exact qualifying symptom under Google's 3-year Extended screen display Repair Program. The policy clearly states the free screen replacement is only voided if the display is cracked, the cover glass is damaged, or there is liquid intrusion. My phone was fully functional with zero issues, no glass damage, and had none of the damage specified by Google. Despite this, the staff took my phone to the back and claimed "minor display screen dings and scratches" not visible to the human eye, to deny the free repair--the exact same scripted excuse they gave another customer with a perfect Samsung phone standing right next to me.They systematically deny valid manufacturer warranties just to trick you into paying out-of-pocket fees. I walked out, contacted Google, and they recommended the next closest store so I went there 3 days later to the Garden City uBreakiFix location instead.They fixed my phone under warranty for FREE in under 2 hours with zero hassle--no questions asked or advance warnings given. Just examined the phone and proceeded with repairs. I would never recommend uBreakiFix Bethpage to family & friends. Hopefully they change their tactics and become honest in their dealings. I have been lied to by multiple employees. And they killed my previously-functioning MacBook Pro. It's dead. Now I have to go to small claims court, because they turned this into a circus. I took a video inside their store before I dropped it off Wednesday, for my insurance company. It was functioning normally. It just had some wax on the outside. Now it is completely DEAD. They quoted me $100 at first. I've now checked prices at other uBreakiFix branches, and found out that an outside cleaning is about $30. The same day, they called me and asked for another $50, because they said that wax had gotten under the keys and gotten onto my motherboard. They had me pick it up 24 hours after I dropped it off. I got home, turned it on and plugged in my external hard drive to do a backup. The backup took 5 minutes, because I had done one ~3 weeks ago. In that 5 minutes, my trackpad started going haywire. The pointer was moving all over the screen like I was choosing folders, then scrolling all the way down, and repeat. I tried to shut it down, but couldn't. If I clicked the top menu, it just scrolled back and forth through that menu. So I shut it off using the button. [[HIGHLIGHT]]I called this location the next morning, and they told me to bring it back in.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Then I tried to turn my laptop back on, and it was COMPLETELY DEAD. I called them again to let them know, and then brought it in. [[HIGHLIGHT]]When I got there, I showed manager Ryan that it was dead, and now doesn't close properly. He kept accusing me of having liquid damaged my laptop.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] That's not accurate. Wax is a lipid. It doesn't conduct electricity the way water does, and wouldn't damage it in the same way. If any wax had actually gotten in at all. I have never been given any proof that there was ever wax on my motherboard, despite asking. [[HIGHLIGHT]]I called on Saturday to find out what happened and was told that they were waiting for the tech Tommy who did the work to come in on Monday.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Then I was called by a different tech Diego on Sunday. He said that he got the computer on, but it would only boot into safe mode. He also couldn't get the password to work for a good 10 minutes, I don't know why. He took it apart while I was on the phone. So I suggested that if Tommy cleaned the motherboard, maybe he damaged the motherboard. Diego then told me, that Tommy told him on the phone that he didn't even open the computer, so he couldn't have damaged it. So which one is true? Either they scammed me for extra money, and didn't open the computer or clean the motherboard at all. Or, they did open the computer, and they're lying about it to avoid taking responsibility for having damaged it. When I spoke to the manager Ryan about this today, he told me that there was no way that Diego could have spoken to Tommy on the phone on Sunday. Even though Diego was happy to tell me 2 or 3 times that he did. When I came to pick up the computer today, it was handed to me on and in safe mode. I hit restart. It took a couple of minutes to restart. When the Apple insignia came up, it flashed with lines across the screen, and then went back to the Apple insignia. It never did that before I left it at this store. Then I turned it off, and tried to turn it back on, and it is now DEAD AGAIN. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Ryan has been consistently rude, arrogant and condescending every time I've spoken to him - twice in person, and on the phone.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] He was happy to hand me back a dead computer, along with some more rudeness and condescension. I asked for a full refund. He gave it, but seems to think that refunding me makes all of this better? It does not. I gave them a laptop that needed some wax cleaned off the outside of it. They've given me back a laptop that a) IS DEAD, b) still smells like wax, c) doesn't close properly, so body damage? Who knows about the trackpad damage. Ryan refused to give me a written diagnostic report of what work was done. He refused to honor the 1-year warranty printed on my receipt, saying he's not liable for "after repair damage". They ordered the part and 12 days later, still no part. They stated they overnighted the part and I came back the next day, still nothing. They also don't have a technician on duty every day. I made a reservation 5 days in advance and in it advised I was coming for a battery replacement for my iphone. I get there at the correct time and the door is locked nobody is behind the counter. I call and the person comes from inside opens the door and acts like it was a bother for her to be there. She proceeds to tell me "for your phone, we'd have to order a battery." Remember I put the reason for my appointment in with the reservation. This is the second time I've come to this place and they never seem to be prepared to do anything. Ha ha ha. I take the time to drive there and they tell me they don't have thescreen in stock and it will take two or three days to get it. Well hello, when I filled out the form and I said I needed a screen so why would they tell me they could replace in by the next day when they don't have it stock. The worst customer service experience in my life! Brought my phone twice to fix the broken screen. First time they took my phone, kept it for 2 hours, and then said, that they don't have the right details to replace !!! Then I came back in a few days, made sure that now they have right parts to replace. Left, the phone, and they told me it will be ready in about 3 hours. I came back, girl said that they just started so it will be another hour. I was waiting there all that time, and got my phone fixed after 7 hours of waiting!!!! This is insane! I am not the type to leave reviews on anything but Im extremely upset. 2 weeks ago I went to this location to have the LCD on my iPhone fixed which is $175 +tax or so. I also bought a case from them for $35 with the intentions that it was a "great case" not even a week later my screen has a small crack on it towards the bottom and the LCD lights are flipping out on my phone again to the point where I can't even use it. (I didn't drop it) I work and things happen to touch my phone while its in my pocket. and I have never had a problem like this before with any other iPhones I've owned. so I went back to ask about the warrantee and they said that since there was "physical damage" I am not able to have it repaired again.
