The repair was good, with a third party part - not an apple part, however you need to be aware they split the billing, part for the repair, and a second charge to sign you up for a reoccurring charge for Asurion Protection, an "insurance for up to 5 devices" however that works!!! So the charge monthly is $39, I didn't realize the salesman's quick words were talking me into this deal until I saw this reocurring charge on my bank. balance. Beware, make sure you know the repair cost total before agreeing to the repair. In my case I didn't cotton to this until I had paid this monthly charge 3 times. They cancelled the coverage but only refunded the last charge. So the repair cost $54 plus $78. My loss I hope informs you of the pitfalls to getting phones repaired at ubreakifix. I have gone here many times and they were great. They have new, almost illiterate staff working now, regretfully. I had the most disgusting, abusive victim blaming "customer service" ever. I paid for and dropped off a Macbook Pro and checked the status three days later, the staff said "you dint purchase the Asurion, so we didn't get to it." The staff's tone was gruff, curt and defensive and I said "I dont feel comfortable with your tone, don't touch my computer." I called today and tried to file a complaint, and a second woman said "that is a really good employee and we have never heard any complaint." I said you are not hearing me and all have treated me awfully and the woman then raised her voice and said "we think this was all your fault." She then hung up on me! Unbelievable. I called back to file a compliant, and they still have taken payment and have my laptop in their possession. Then the original abuser got on the phone and yelled at me saying that his mistreatment was my fault, I said you sound like an urban troglodyte. I stand by my assessment, please be careful with these people, they have hire awful, unprofessional, abusive staff and then double down with abuse. They were rude to my son, who's phone it was. They called to see when we were dropping it off. I told them when and that I was in Ohio. He drops it off. They call me and tell me its done. I tell them when he will pick it up. But they call me again the day he's going to pick it up. I told them he would be there on his way to work. The second time I've told them this. So when he gets there, they wont let him have his phone. Maybe he didn't have the receipt. I don't know. But because he didn't have my number, they wouldn't let him have it. The tech at the desk was rude from the moment I walked in the door. I said I have an appointment at six but I'm a little early. He snapped: well, we close at 6 so I'm not sure how you got that appointment. What do you need? I said a replacement screen. He took one look at the phone and said that will be $99 plus tax and that will be done by Tuesday. I asked $99. I got an email when I made the appointment they said $49.99 or less. Mr. Grumpy barked: I'll need to see the email you're talking about. I found it and showed it to him. Mr. Grumpy smiled to deliver the news: that's for an original SE, you have blah blah blah. It's $99 plus tax. So I can get a new screen at Apple at the Genius Bar and work with employees who are nice AND efficient AND actually want to help customers? It's nice to support small business and local. But in this case, that's a big no. If the store is short staffed and Mr. Grumpy usually fixes the phones instead of managing the front desk, he should stay behind the scenes. read more

Would put zero stars if it was an option!!! I brought my macbook pro in for minor water damage and was told after the $60 diagnostic fee that they would be able to fix it for me. After leaving it with them for about two weeks I went to collect my computer and when I arrived home the tried to turn it on I found out that none of the keys on the keyboard worked, my touch-bar was broken and the touch ID sensor didn't work. I brought it back to them the next day and they said sorry and went to fix it. I finally got it back after at this point about a month and a half and 3 days later it stoped charging. At this point I was done and brought it for some real care at the apple store just for them to tell me that UbreakIFix fried my logic board, put in aftermarket parts I did not authorize and that my computer was missing 80% of the need screws and cowlings. I gave UbreakIFix a call the next day and was told "You need to talk to the district manager" with no date of when he would be in and no phone number to call. About a week and a half later I finally called when he was in and had a normal conversation with him. We settled on me bringing my computer back and them fixing it. I brought it in and was told that they can't put the screws back in because they lost them and that they could not order more. They finally made my computer charge again just to have it stop 3 days later again. At the time of writing this my computer is much more broken then it was when I first brought it to them and this "repair" has taken almost 4 months at this point with no end in sight. I love this shop. The service is friendly, knowledgeable and for me recently very quick. My only complaint is that on their credit card receipt there are two or three dense paragraphs of an agreement in tiny tiny tiny type that one signs by defaut when signing the credit card receipt. I had to ask what it said and the guy summarized it by saying "since you brought in your own part the work isn't guaranteed." Fair Enough. Glad I asked. Also, really? Is that all it says? He greeted me in a mask, safely, took my phone, went in to get tweezers, and extracted the dust bunnies. He could have replaced the charge port, and got away with it, but he correctly diagnosed and fixed it easily. Tested it and sent me on my way. Best and worst of all, no charge. While I totally dig a free repair, you're not going to stay in business that way. And I want you to stay in business, as I'll definitely go back next time I need a phone or computer repair, and I want you to still be there. read more

Found these guys on the web & since they had the lowest price to replace my iPhone 6+ screen, I went there. The tech immediately told me he didn't think my screen was broken & proceeded to remove the glass cover installed with my case. He gave me a couple of recommendations on protecting my phone, put it back together, and handed it back with a smile & no charge!! He could have easily duped me but he was honest & very nice. They started working right away and were done within just a few minutes. They didn't even charge for the service. We got a new screen put on my sons iPad last week. Admittedly it was very damaged, but i was told that they would be able to fix it, it would be additional cost for the extra damage. When i picked it up, i immediately went home and when our son started using it, we noticed the screen was not working on one column. It was late, so i called the next day to let them know and ask about it. He told me to bring it back. It was a holiday and we had plans, so i was told to just bring it when i could. I took it back Monday, which was my first opportunity after a holiday/birthday and baseball tournament filled weekend. The employee recognized me, and when i showed him what wasn't working, he picked up the iPad and immediately said, "oh this is more bent." I said no, this is how i picked it up. It had either been lying on a table or in a case. He took the iPad to the back, came back and essentially told me it was a very fragile device and i could pay for another new screen but he couldn't recommend that. WHAT!?! I asked how this happened since this was how we picked it up. What more was i supposed to do? i noticed it immediately upon arriving home and since they were closed called to inform them the next day of the issue. It was not damaged any after picking it up from being "fixed." He said, "oh the case may have done it." If the iPad was that fragile that a case could've bent the iPad more, this should have been communicated to me upon picking it up on Wednesday, or maybe they shouldn't have told me they could fix it and charged me $260. The employee was very condescending and basically said he didn't believe me because they "would've tested the iPad thoroughly." I made the mistake of not checking every function when i picked it up, so proceed with caution in using this company! I'm out $260 for an iPad with a screen that does work fully and experienced some of the worst customer service of my life. read more

I have had three experiences at this. Location. I ran over my phone and they replaced the screen. I waited 3 full hours for that. I was told my home button was busted. They had to order it and I went back to have it installed. It was wonky feeling and I called them about it. I was told they would look at it but the wait was going to be significant. I had to go elsewhere and I found a great guy at a kiosk in foothills mall. He said he would bet money that break sliced into the button cable. Sure enough he opened my phone and the replacement button (not even an iPhone button). The cable was cut and taped! I called and got an appointment for an expensive stereo receiver diagnostic. I was clearly speaking with someone in the Phillippines. Not very easy to understand. I made an appointment for somewhere between 6-6:45 that evening for the Boulder depot. I could tell this woman was reading from a script, and not really listening to my questions. I arrived at 6:30. OPEN sign illuminated. Nobody inside. I called the number, on hold for about 10 minutes. As I am standing there, a woman walks up and looks in the windows and says "AAGH! Closed AGAIN!" I ask her if she has an appointment. "Yes" she says. "This is the 3rd time I've come down to pickup my phone, third time they've been closed. My phone is being held hostage in there!" I'm now getting another Filipino on the line. After more wrangling and misunderstanding, the best he can offer is that this location is closed due to staff shortages as a result of Covid. I will not be giving them ANY business nor recommending them to anyone. read more

This is the third or fourth time I've used this store for screen replacement. Each time I've visited I've been disappointed by their service and fees. This time your website claimed the replacement I needed was $49.95 (iPhone SE) but when I showed up the actual estimate was $121. The employee made me sign a work agreement to have the service done and when I returned to pick up my phone I asked if I could receive the website's quoted price. In the end the manager gave me a 20% discount. I would think a good business owner would charge the customer the advertised price and "eat" their mistake. Not so. I will never come back to this store and actively dissuade others from going there. read more

I dropped water on my laptop and suspected before I arrived that I needed to have the keyboard replaced. They did a complete diagnostic which confirmed my suspicion, and gave me the choice of a new keyboard or a used one. They completed the work, saved me a huge headache of dealing with it on my own, and were polite and easy to work with on every contact point. Only negatives: They have a tracking website which is much less informative than a person waiting might like it to be, and the first couple of diagnostic stages added up to more total time that I would have liked. My Google Pixel 3 died after a little over 2 years of use. I got a replacement phone from my carrier, but not all of my data--which I thought had been backed up--transferred over. So, I wanted to see if the old phone could be resurrected long enough to access that data. I got an appointment in a timely way, and the tech was super nice and helpful--explaining what diagnostics would be done, possible cost, and a reasonable 4-hour time frame. He called less than 2 hours later to report that the battery was swollen, and even a new battery did not work; the motherboard had obviously been damaged. He actually showed compassion for my situation; I don't expect that from techies, whom I generally find to be rather surly and patronizing. I picked up the phone later that day and was charged nothing. I came away feeling okay despite the unfortunate outcome. Recommend! read more

I feel moderately frustrated with my experience at this store. While I believe this store would do a good job with simple repairs like screen replacements, my issue was seemingly more complicated to effectively communicate. I brought my phone in with assumed water damage due to a cracked screen. Upon talking with the tech, I opted to have the screen replaced contingent on the water damage being addressed/resolved. The tech assured me they would "not give me back a broken phone with a new screen." When I picked up the phone (with new $200 screen) I soon discovered the camera was non-functional. After calling the store, I was told there was severe corrosion to the circuit board, which causes the camera malfunction. This is perhaps an issue of miscommunication of expectations. However, I do wish the store had called me when they discovered this corrosion so I could better consider my option (proceed with repair or opt for new phone). read more

I have used these guys in the past to get phone batteries replaced, and they did that quickly and at a good price. Recently I had a problem with a PC that was not booting properly. Another place wanted $100 to just diagnose the problem. But these guys did a free diagnostic and fixed the problem, which was pretty minor, at a super reasonable cost.
