My Android phone's screen started to separate after it overheated one night and loosened the adhesive...or so I thought. Turns out it was actually the battery that needed to be replaced. uBreakiFix is located along the side of shops where the Target is (along South St). It's right next to Yoshiharu Ramen. My friend mentioned this place to me as a certified Google device repair place and had the same issue. I came in on a Thursday, not busy at all. Harris, greeted me and asked for my name. I had placed an appointment online the day prior and my drop off window was from 3p-4pm. Very small shop looking like any other phone shop. Harris looked at my phone and I told him the problem, which he diagnosed as an expanded battery. Quite literally a hazard of kept that way. So definitely wanted to get it fixed as I'd still want to trade it in eventually. Initially he thought he didn't have the parts but did in fact have a battery. I was estimated about 1.5-2 hour turnaround same day which is great. The one thing I that made me a little antsy was that I left a number for him to call but I never received a call that my phone was ready. Perhaps I said the number incorrectly, but it was close to closing hours of the business so I decided to go before potentially missing out on grabbing my phone. Thankfully my phone was ready and it's looking and feeling great with no screen separation. So I wish they would've called and maybe they would've but I got anxious. So far my phone is looking and feeling great. Pricing wasn't too bad and I definitely could've done it myself, but it was well worth the time and convenience to have Harris work on it. The service went amazing. I came in on a Sunday with a cracked screen. Issac was able to fix in without any trouble. Since, my carrier covered it. It was even easier. He included a free cleaning, which now my phone is able to charge without having to find that awkward angle. I went to 2 other shops near my work because my phone battery was swelling and neither shop had the battery in stock for the Google Pixel 7..... I knew they weren't authorized repair centers for Google so I decided to contact online and make an appt for this uBreakiFix location knowing they are an authorized Google repair center.... When I got there a man came out from the back and I told him I made an appt but I was early he was repairing one phone already and I dropped off my phone after getting the cost to replace the battery and knowing they had it in stock.... $129.99 sounds pricey but at the same time if I really think about it wasn't that bad of a price for a Original Google battery and the probably 30 to 45 minutes to replace it.... I was told by another store they couldn't do it because the screen can possibly break so I wasn't going to risk buying my own battery and doing it myself.... I dropped off my son's Nintendo Switch on 6/15. Over the course of three separate follow-ups, I was told it was a motherboard issue and that they would speak with the repair tech when items were picked up or dropped off--suggesting the repair was done offsite. Each time I followed up, I was promised a callback that never came. Today 7/10 I picked up the device with no clear explanation or update on what was done (if anything). The staff member handed it back to me without any apology or acknowledgment of the delay or lack of communication. It felt dismissive and unprofessional. If I could give them zero stars, I would. I've been a loyal customer since before you guys went big, back when the hustle and customer service were top-notch. But after my last visit, I'm questioning if that same level of care still exists. On August 13th, 2024, I came in right when the doors opened at 10 am to get my MacBook Pro's "Enter" key fixed. The entire store was empty, and I wasn't even greeted--just straight to business, and not in a good way. I spoke to the guy with glasses about my issue, and instead of taking a moment to actually look at my laptop, he immediately hit me with a $150 quote to replace the entire keyboard, saying it was connected to the motherboard. I'm standing there thinking, "Really? You didn't even inspect it, and you're already throwing out prices?" I asked him to at least take a look at the key, see if it's a simple fix, and he told me he had four more projects in the back. His attitude and complete lack of customer service were a huge turn-off, and I left right then and there. It's frustrating because this is exactly what's wrong with some of today's workforce--no drive, no extra effort to help a customer. It's like they don't even care. I ended up going to Apple, where they not only greeted me but took my MacBook to the back, replaced the key, and didn't charge me a dime. The guy at your store is a perfect example of why businesses lose customers. There's clearly no manager keeping an eye on things, and it shows. I even told my 2-year-old daughter not to be like this guy when she grows up and gets a job--because this isn't how you treat people. I'm beyond disappointed, and you've lost a customer for life. I took my Samsung into the business to have the battery replaced. I waited 2 hours and paid them almost a hundred bucks and I got my phone back. It didn't want to work correctly on the way home but it did work. That was Friday and on Sunday I left for Arizona and my phone stopped connecting as soon as I got in the desert. It would work in a city or next to an antenna. I had to buy a whole new phone in AZ. Called the up and asked for my money back. They said they would look at my phone. I told them I bought a new one and they said they'd look at my old one. Never gave my money back. The moral is. If your phone breaks, buy a new one. These guys won't help. read more

I usually do not review places Ive visited, but this deserves a review. I took my phone in for a cracked glass (rear) repair for an insurance claim. My phone was working just fine before I left it with them. When I got it back the glass was replaced successfully, however when I charged my phone it began to power cycle every 2-3 minutes. When I took the phone back to them they told me my battery was bad and that I needed to file a new claim with my insurance company to have the battery replaced. My phone and battery were just fine before they repaired it. The phone is less than a year old and prior to the repair it was working fine. After discussing this with the manager, he didn't like that I told him they needed to fix my phone. He proceeded to get upset and hang up on me after I asked him when I could pick my phone up. Needless to say I will never use this place again. Stay away from them. Save yourself a huge headache and find another place. read more
