I was driving and noticed my IPhone was dying and went to grab my magnetic charger, but it wasn't there. I thought I left it at home and was about to drive home on my lunch break to get it then realized I could just buy another one. Looked up local cell phone stores in the area and IQ appeared. They're located in the small shopping center across from Cypress College on the west side of Valley View, north of Public Storage. I called before I got there and asked if they had a magnetic charger and the owner said yes for $20. Showed up and the store is small and clean. There was one guy ahead of me and the owner acknowledged me and said he'd be with me in a few moments. I was fine. The magnetic charger I have is a lightning charger that connects to a USB-C cord, while the one the shop had was an apple approved cord that was connected directly to the magnetic charger. I connected it to a Sharge power bank and it worked, but slowly charged. My phone is older so it does heat up and I did ask how much it costs to replace my battery and he said $70, which Is $10 cheaper than the Apple store. Overall, great experience and if I'm in town and have time I'll get my battery replaced. read more

A few months later, unfortunately, the screen was not secured properly and the glass now comes up from the actual iPad. Touch now registers weirdly and dust and debris are now stuck between the LCD and the glass due to not being sealed properly. I have to constantly use chip clips to hopefully get the glass to stay attached a bit longer. However, it was only a matter of time before the issue reoccurred. In the end, take your device here at your own risk as I thought I could trust this place to do the job "properly" but they had failed to do so. read more

It was my first time to have my cell phone cracked on the top part of my IPhone SE screen when I hit our office break room table during my lunch break. I looked at Yelp for a repair place near my home and I found IQ Smartphone in Cypress with so many great reviews. I went last Saturday afternoon but there was a sign that it was closed for a vacation coming back today. So I called and spoke with Ken to confirm if he was open today. I arrived at 4:15 pm and he quoted me $55.00 but got a 15% discount when I mentioned that I took a photo of the sign on the door. He honored the discount and it went down to $47.00. He said to come back after 45 minutes. So after 53 minutes it was finally done and it looked normal again with a new glass screen. He offered me a screen protector discounted at $5.00. Got my iphone 6 cracked like an idiot and went to this store to get a quote. The owner Ken seemed honest and said if he cannot fix it he will not charge me, so that's fair. 1.5 hr later I came back and got that screen fixed, and he even put on a screen protector for me for $7 bucks (came out straight :). Ken works his wizardry magic here at IQ Smartphone! This is my third time paying Ken a visit. Sister gave my dad her phone but the downside was it broke but was still working fine. I came to Ken asking if he could repair and how much it would cost. He gave me the cost right away which was $95! Compared to other fix it shop, this was a fraction of the price! I didn't hesitate and asked him if we could change the color of the backing. He had silver available and that's exactly the color we wanted! He told me to come back in a few hours. Which worked out since I had errands to do around there. Came back at 5:00 asked if he finished and he said done! Great with estimation of time and efficient at what he does!
