I visited uBreakiFix because the Joy-Con charging ports on my Nintendo Switch were broken. The top of my console was also coming off, but the charging ports were my main concern as I was going on vacation soon. When I arrived, Marvin, one of the employees, greeted me with a smile and introduced himself. I explained the issue, and he quickly pinpointed the problem. He said that the detached part of my console was actually the battery expanding out of it, which was most likely disrupting the charge flow. He suggested a replacement battery for $106.99. After considering it, I left my Nintendo Switch with Marvin's team. Unfortunately, when I returned to the store a few days later and tested my Joy-Cons, I discovered that the charging ports were still broken. My Nintendo Switch is seven years old, so it's not worth paying $40 for a diagnosis and additional money to fix the issue. I felt like I should have just bought a new Nintendo Switch. The only positive outcome was the 1-year warranty for the new battery and my console no longer being a safety hazard. It's frustrating because I found out after the repair that my Joy-Con charging ports just short-circuited, which could have been fixed without the costly battery replacement. read more

I came here after going to AT&T to file an insurance claim for my iPhone screen that randomly stopped working while at my parents' house. My phone was on but the screen was black. John replaced my screen in less than 10 minutes and then walked me through the nightmare of attempting to disable Find My Phone in order to recalibrate it. This ended up taking literally all day as my Face ID was also not working and I had to go home to disable from my MacBook (I h8 u Apple). This is based upon MY experience. I've seen some reviews from some people and I can honestly say, I received 5-Star service! So with that.... You have a smartphone. Gone are the days you can replace your battery or just easily pick up a new phone. I'm handy and technical but, I don't want all of the specialized tools needed to tear into an iPhone--nor do I want to. Enter uBreakiFix. My iPhone 12 Pro went bonkers on the weekend. I assumed it was the battery but had no proof. I did all of the standard troubleshooting one could and should do before going bananas. So I brought the phone in and the young lady said a diagnosis is free. So first off, that's rad. To at least know what you're looking at in terms of price. She explained she could do a couple of things to see if she could identify the issue and lo and behold, she found the logic board to be failed. Once you get to replacing that, you might as well get a new phone. Which, I did. She provided stellar customer service and I felt she was knowledgeable about her job. As an aside, my wife did use this location several years ago for a screen replacement and it was flawless and reasonably priced. read more

This was my first time coming here but Renzo and Marvin really made me a returning customer. Walked into the store, the door had a motion sensor to let employees there is a customer. Waiting, waiting, waiting......for an unusual amount of time.....still waiting..........after 10 minutes of sitting in an empty store with not one customer or employee insight I open and close the door again to set off the motion sensor and sit and wait again........another 7-9 minutes or so goes by and still nothing. So I start to do the obnoxious cough cough cough then quickly realized That's wasn't a good idea with covid and all..... still waiting. I have a lot of patience. Finally after what felt like an eternity 10 other minutes goes by and finally and underwhelming greet and what seemed a very unhappy employee which made us feel like we woke him from a long winters slumber emerges. He went to the counter and said, " what do you need?" I was taken back by his unenthusiastic greeting but hey I'm optimistic and happy enough for both of us, so I try a little joke as an ice breaker Like "a bear walks into the woods......, ouch!" He gave me a flesh searing look rolled his eyes and said "what do you need today" so I figured at this point let me get down to why I'm here. So I ask if he has a replacement glass for the particular Samsung model phone my friend. He laughed and said no we don't carry replacement parts for that old model type phone. the phone was a week old. Lol So will I refer people there? Probably NOT. Not based on his reply about the "old model" but for his demeanor and unenthusiastic customer service or lack there of. Two stars because the place was clean and tidy. read more

My phone is turned black , after I took it here to get the little port fixed . She told me it would be 349 dollars to replace the screen . The screen was not damaged and you can still here the phone . I took it somewhere else and he charged me 40 dollars it had some dust and a little piece from when I break fixed the port was off it's place . I almost spent 349 for dust . Never again!!!! So I came 2 weeks ago with an iPhone X having problem with the screen. They charged me like 180 dollar for the screen, the next day this screen was having issues I called to take the phone back again but then the problem seems to got fixed by itself. But today the phone just turned a white line on the screen so I took it to them and they wanted me to pay again. If I could give this place zero stars, I would. I called in 2 times on the week of Jan 25 asking for a repair to an iPhone. I spoke with Chris and some service tech (the one that travels) and both confirmed they had the part in stock. Both also said the phone can be repaired within an hour maybe a little longer. I told them I was going to go on Saturday Jan 29 and offered to leave a deposit for the part/repair and even for an appointment. This phone is belongs to my elderly mother who has literally had her life saved because she had the phone on her (collapse and stroke x2) so it was really important to me to fix. I show up at 1030-ish on Saturday morning and some guy tells me their turn around time is 3-5 days and if I left the phone I could pick it up on Monday. I asked if I could make an appointment for the repair to take place the following weekend and offered to pay in advance. But they refused to accommodate me citing that if I did not leave my phone I would not be in the queue for the repair. This is unacceptable. I cannot leave my mother at risk of medical emergency without a means of communication for 911 or any help. This location cannot seem to get their act together. No one here seems to have any idea what is going on because no one follows the same protocol or communicates the same message to the customers. I cannot, in good conscience, recommend this place to anyone for repair or otherwise. If they cannot deliver the same message to me, I imagine that the quality of their services lines up with their communication. read more

leave your items at your own risk. I left a perfectly working MacBook Pro to be repair, fresh from working with it. I even turned it on and keyed in my password in front of the clerk. when I pick it up they tell me keyboard and trackpad was already broken when I brought it. no matter that i told them that was not possible as their employee saw it working when I brought it. it must have broken between me closing the lid and they picking it up. being called a liar and left with a broken unit. incredibly frustrating experience. avoid like the pest . read more

I came in with IPhone XR that had went black. They repaired that, not to then scratch the screen. I took a picture of the phones front and back before giving it to them. I brought my cracked iphone in for repair 30 days ago. When they gave me the phone back they told me it has a 90 day warranty. It started to slowly crack 3 weeks after i got it fixed (it didn't have a bad fall). The scheme is they put shitty parts on your devices, so they break and you have to keep returning to UBREAKIFIX to repair the shitty parts. NEVER EVER COME HERE. This establishment literally gets there products from aliexpress and will charge u like $180. I will literally keep my cracked UBREAKIFIX phone screen then pay these weirdos $200 to put another shitty screen on. TAKE YOUR MONEY ELSE WHERE. read more
