Outstanding tech geek skills, and, more importantly, outstanding customer service and people skills. I've been there once or twice in the past for iPad-related issues, and they nailed it spot-on every time. The cables they manufacture and sell in-house are built like tanks, made of reinforced vinyl and can take a trampling. I own several of their USB-to-Thunderbolts. While a little pricy, worth every penny and, basic economics 101, one gets what one pays for. Did have a problem with one recently, returned it this morning and the young lady swapped it out with a new one with no fuss. She also looked at the internal battery inside my tablet and was obviously seriously sharp and very handy with a multimeter and diagnostic equipment. An extremely pleasant customer experience. Only complaint? I wish they allowed tipping (laugh out loud!)! HIGHLY recommended. read more

This review is for the Liberty Ave location in Bloomfield. It's currently July 2025 and in December 2024, I dropped off an old pixel 6 of mine because the battery expanded in my hot car. I was told they'd look at it and let me know next steps. I was told I'd need to leave a deposit and I'd hear back. I received a call the next day, wherein a voicemail was left letting me know they'd have to order a battery and it'd arrive in 5-7 days. I never heard back. A few weeks later, I called for an update and was told that they couldn't find my phone but could see the work order and that they'd call me back. No one called me back. I called a month later and was told the same thing and that I'd get a call back. Nope. No call. Oh, by the way, when I "paid a deposit", I was actually signed up for a subscription for Asurion Home that I wasn't made aware of. I cancelled it, but not before I was charged. I visited the store today, as it's clear no one cared to call me back. The manager let me know they likely recycled it after 3 months. He said someone would have called to let me know. Spoiler: no one called me. I, however, did call at the 3 month mark and no one said a word to me outside of letting me know they'd have to keep searching and would call me back. And even though someone said they could see my work order when I called, today I was told there was no work order. I really don't know what to think. Was it deleted to cover tracks when they couldn't find my phone? Did one of them steal my phone and delete the work order? I mean, wtf is happening? From my perspective on the outside, I have to assume the employees either have a min amount of people they need to subscribe to Asurion Home, or there is some sort of credit they receive (it looks like I'm not the only one this has happened to) and the person who I spoke with did so without telling me. Regarding my phone, the manager says it was probably recycled after 3 months and that he couldn't help me. He said to call corporate (which I just did. They asked for the work order#, but that was apparently misplaced along with my phone). His recycled-at-3-months argument is nonsense as well, as my phone went missing after a few weeks. I needed the data on the phone and planned to do a data transfer (per the employee), so I didn't need the phone. It was a phone that wasn't in use. But now the data is gone, along with my phone. This really blows for me. I'm pretty upset and I feel like I won't be helped. So yeah, don't go here unless you're interested in a surprise subscription to Asurion Home and being out the cost of a phone. read more

EVERYTHING COULD IMPROVE!! Charged me for a $200 battery that was in warranty and should have been free. Battery "lost" in shipment from Dell. Now I have to pay. One month in repair at Cranberry Township store and they will not provide documentation to prove they even ordered the battery from Dell and a tracking number to show it was lost. "Against corporate policy to do so." Take your electronics elsewhere! This company uses sham tactics!!!!!! Spoke to Corporate at Asurion and believe it or not they offered me a $25 check to settle this $200 issue!!!!! Told them they could do BETTER. Said I could have just picked up my computer and sent it to Dell myself to settle but how the hell do you do that if you have no proof of Ubreakifix's order for replacement battery under warranty and a tracking number to prove it was lost in shipment??!!! All which "corporate" says is not permitted under their "policy" worse yet they try to upsell me on an Asurion maintenance plan!!!!! No on your life! RUN DONT WALK! read more

The tech at uBreakiFix will try to upsell you with a fee to Asurion that in turn lowers your repair price. They don't tell you you've committed to a recurring monthly "fee." When you get charged the next month and you try to cancel Asurion they will not refund you for the service you didn't commit to in the first place. Although they won't refund you, they cancel your service immediately. This means they've collected a monthly fee but don't continue to cover you for that entire month. I was only given one option for my phone's screen repair and was not made aware that it was not the genuine Apple screen. The uBreakiFix website says that Apple parts are available, and since they didn't give me any options when I went in for my repair, they just gave me one price, I assumed that's what I was getting. My phone now overheats easily and the battery drains much quicker. After calling to see if I could get the real Apple screen for the difference in price, since I was inconvenienced and my phone is practically worse off than it was before, I was told that that wasn't possible and that I had to get the screen replaced again for the full price. She even explained that the LCD screens will do that to your phone- really glad I got that information after I paid almost $200 for a screen repair. Customer service was okay enough, I just wish they had let me know ahead of time that what I was getting was not a genuine Apple part. My brother got his phone repaired there too, and the screen doesn't always respond to touch on wake. Now I have to get my screen replaced again- I won't be getting it here. read more

I took my iPhone here because my screen was cracked. My IT department recommended it. But the first time they replaced my screen, within a few days the edges were lifting and my phone was unusable. So I had to drop it off for another half a day. The second time they fixed my screen, I don't know what they did to my phone, but the screen is not responsive to normal touch and the phone overheats and runs down the battery in half a day. Sometimes the screen suddenly turns black. I've tried to fix it various ways, but cannot. I'm going to have to get a new phone. It's worth the money to go to the Apple Store instead! read more

I broke my phone screen a few weeks ago and was excited to see this location fairly close to where I live. I dropped by and found out they were out of adhesive - my fault for not calling first - and sought out another location. Would definitely suggest calling before dropping by, though many calls are routed to an off-site call center, which can be problematic if you need local info. After a negative experience at another location, I found myself back at the Liberty location in the early afternoon on a Sunday. The person who helped me was pleasant and explained the process to me. They asked for my unlock password which seemed a little sketchy, but not the end of the world. I was told it would be ready at 4:00 PM (receipt said 4:18). Around 4:40 I got there expecting my phone to be ready since it was 40 minutes after I'd been told. Instead I was told it was not ready yet. I pointed out they close in 20 minutes and they said it would not be ready until the next day as the repair needed to be finished and then QC needed to be done through Samsung - they said they couldn't even charge me until after that QC was done (that sounds like a them-problem, not a me-problem...). Stuff happens. But here are my issues: 1) In customer service, it's important to under promise and over deliver. Why say it would be ready at 4:00 if there was a chance it would push back to the next day? 2) Why not call to tell me it was going to be late so that I wasn't driving over? 3) Why ask a customer for their unlock info and then essentially hold their phone hostage? I'd like to trust that everything is fine, but at this point they kept my phone for an extra chunk of time so they certainly have access to use my phone however they'd like. 4) They never called when it finally was ready. I LOVE that they don't do a factory reset and that's really what made me use them. If I'd sent it to Samsung for repairs, they would have, so using uBreakiFix was great in that way. But for 5 times the price that Samsung would have charged me, I'd expect a better customer experience. I was able to pick up my phone the next day and so far so good! The actual repair is all I could hope for. But even then, they had given me the wrong receipt (someone else's) and I hadn't noticed so when I went to pick up my phone they said someone else had already picked it up. It took a few minutes of confusion for them to figure out what had happpened. If you're okay with a solid repair with not-so-solid service, this will do. And really, I'd use them again in a pinch. read more

Techs were great. Manager is terrible. Had a broken screen. They replaced but the fingerprint sensor was not working. They had to order a new one. Fine. Unfortunate but fine. But in the first replacement they broke the back glass of the phone. They agreed to replace it. But also had to order that. When calling to ask if the back glass part was in yet, I was redirected to a manager who told me that they never broke the back glass and that we had broken it and they would never break it. She offered to charge me $210 to fix their accident. Mistakes happen but this is super shady. She claimed that video evidence existed but refused to look at it. Strong recommendation: take good pix before and after you drop off your phone. Inspect throroughly. The manager appears to have very questionable ethics. read more

I can truly say I thought this might turn into a negative review but, instead, I ended up being a very satisfied customer. Here's the lowdown: Filed a claim with my phone insurance company to replace a cracked screen for $29. Selected this store from my option list and was given an appointment time and estimate of 2 hours. Dropped off phone and came back but at 2 hour mark it was not complete. It failed tests and the tech was working on it. I left and came back 3.5 hours later and it still had issues. I walked nearby for dinner and came back in an hour. They indicated there was a problem with the new screen and it would be the next day before it would be ready. Do you know just how much we depend on our phones nowadays?? It is my watch, my GPS, sooo much. In fact I had to request they write down directions at one point. So at this point I am nervous. Did I make the right decision trusting this store with my lifeline? Would I get it back in one piece? Well, today after work I went back to the store hoping for the best. I got the best news. My phone was ready and Marcin (I am assuming the owner by his knowledge and demeanor) not only gave me my phone but explained the issue -- the tech had had a problem that Marcin helped with and that wouldn't be an issue for future screen replacements. He then showed me the old screen and the underside of all the wires and connections. Lots going on, not just a piece of glass! He let me know they replaced the charging port and other things. Then, he let me know they even replaced the battery! That was splendid news because I had been instructed by Verizon to first get the screen fixed by filing a claim THEN I could get the battery replaced for free. Now I got it all done in one transaction and all for 29.00. Makes my insurance seem well worth the cost. The price the store gets reimbursed is 250.00. I would have hated to pay that in one fell swoop. Yeah, yeah... you could argue that I pay a premium in phone insurance and you would be right at 15.00 a month. But with carrying around the equivalent of a laptop these days instead of just a phone, I would rather pay a bit monthly than a lot to replace it. I am thankful for Marcin's assistance in being able to keep my older phone, a Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge just a little bit longer. And a side benefit to this store? I got to explore Bloomfield and the many stores and restaurants it offers. That was nice, though not cheap! read more

I hate writing negative reviews but I didn't have great service here. I was on a tight timeline for getting my laptop screen fixed. I paid the upcharge for prioritization with Asurion. They gave me a tracking # to follow in the system that was rarely updated during the three months I ended up waiting. Instead, I would have to call in to the store for updates and had multiple issues including shipping delays and incompatible parts Eventually, they just said they couldn't fix it which is fine but the timing and communication was not ideal. They didn't end up charging me which was good. It was during the holidays and COVID surge as well but honestly I wouldn't recommend taking your laptop here. Maybe they're better for phone/tablet repair. read more

They tell me that the device was not ever accessible, yet when I dropped it off, I unlocked the iPad for the technician at the counter. Unfortunately, his notes say that the device was not accessible. I spilled a beverage on the keyboard and went to the Robinson location. The employee was less than enthusiastic, saying the laptop was old and not worth the trouble, but he would look at it. When I went back, he said he looked inside and I should scrap it. Side note: I'm pretty sure he hadn't looked inside. But! Someone told me about The Computer Stop in Dormont. Ryan is a can-do person! He found and ordered necessary parts, and had it fixed fairly quickly, at a cost less than I expected. read more

Cost me $230 fix Motorola & took five days, not six months latter screen is falling off run from these jerks

I took my laptop here to repair a cracked case and the end result was about a month of waiting to go nowhere. When I brought it in, the technician seemed knowledgeable and friendly, she ID'd the issue and seemed confident that UBreakIFix could do the job - she was even estimating prices and turnaround times. Then things started to go poorly: Based on UBreakIFix's own tracker it looks like my laptop was never sent in for repairs or even given an assessment beyond the initial one when I dropped it off, it just sat there in Pittsburgh for about three weeks when they marked it as "declined" and returned it to me as unrepairable. I did not even get a call telling me to come pick it up, I knew it was ready because I checked the tracker around the date they said it'd be ready. To keep this review from being entirely negative, I was not charged for the initial assessment and the staff were all very friendly, but I can't say I would recommend this place for anything major. read more

I am giving this place 3 stars as a courtesy because the customer service was at least friendly and communicative and I know they can fix common stuff. I also like the fact they don't charge to diagnose problems just t​o look at a phone like most repair shops would. Thats the positive about this place. However, when I took my broken phone in UbreakIfix to have them look at it with a diagnosis of the phone that broke when my screen cracked, I sent it in to the technician and left it there for a week to allow the technician time to at least try to fix the phone and really know what's wrong with it. I was assured when I brought it in that it was the screen and that it can be fixed easily with a screen replacement but then a week later, one of the technicians called me and told me it was the motherboard. I don't think they even looked inside my phone or opened it because it looked the same when I got it back. They did not go into detail about if they did that or not either when I asked. I just know t​hey could not fix my phone at all because of the motherboard being damaged. I then asked if a motherboard could be replaced at least or at least repaired and the tech told me that was not possible and that I was better off with buying a new phone. I would have not mind paying a lot of money to get that repaired but from the sounds of the tech, he didn't seem to have any clue or thought to what he was talking about because I researched that they can be replaced. In general though, I highly doubt it was the motherboard being the issue with my phone because the phone sound was working and phone was on but it was o​bvious the screen was the issue because when I went to another phone repair shop and asked for a second opinion, they seemed more of an expert and looked at my phone pretty thoroughly telling me different. Also Ubreakifix didnt even have the right size of a screen in stock for my phone where they had to order it which took days. They cant fix complex things like that or even adjust my phone about maybe another common issue with it of why else it may not work if the motherboard was just messed up in general but not totally broken. I suggest going to a certified technician at CPR phone repair in Monroeville instead for complex problems like this where they are more knowledgeable or at least provide a Plan B without giving up. If you need an immediate fix for an emergency to get in your phone and have important files in your phone to recover, I don't recommend Ubreakifix. read more

I had the worst experience at the store. my charge port wasn't working took it in to have them fix it took them three months for me to get it back within a month the same thing happened. They tried to tell me that it was my fault that I said something into the port that made the warranty void. My phone sat in their store for 48 hrs and was not tended to at all. Apparently they hired only one technician to deal with 30+ devices and since my phone wasn't a "priority device" (I didn't buy a warranty with them previously) it sat in a drawer. After being told that there was no definite time my phone would be looked at, I came and picked it up. It would be nice if they could at least say on their website "We may not even look at your device for days, or weeks." I called the store the evening prior and was informed it would cost 69.95 to repair a screen on an iPhone 6. I arrived before the doors opened to avoid a lengthy wait time. Once open, I let them know I needed a new screen for my iPhone 6, and was told it was 89.00. I let them know I was told it was 69.95, they insisted on the name of the person who quoted it. I did not ask the name, as I have used this company in the past, but another location, so I went with it. Of interest, on their website, the quote is 79.99. I needed the phone fixed and gave them the phone, and then they come back out and unable to match the color of my phone. They need to get it together and be consistent!!!! Needless to say, I left after wasting over an hour trying to have my phone repaired. read more

I cracked the screen of my iPhone 8 and went online to research repair services. This store has good reviews so I made an appointment. I took my phone in after work and didn't get there until about 6:10 and they close at 7:00. They took my phone and were able to fix it in less than an hour while I waited. It's like brand new now. They were extremely professional, knowledgeable and very nice. The shop is bright and clean and they have really interesting technical informational videos on the TVs while you wait. I was exceptionally pleased with the experience and would recommend them to anyone. read more

I paid 215 dollars to replace a cracked back of an iPhone xr, the phone was in perfect condition other than the cracked back. When I went to pick it up none of they keys on the keyboard were responding. They did not know why and did not offer me a refund, instead they put a new screen on that I did not want in the first place. I go to pick up the phone and they BROKE THE SPEAKER and said they would replace the speaker for free once that part came in. This place is not legit and they only ended up giving me 10% back off of 215. I ended up replacing my entire phone at apple. DONT GO HERE THEY SUCK not to mention the manager never even came out to apologize or speak to me even after I asked. read more

After receiving an insurance claim through AT&T about fixing a cracked home button on an iPhone 8, I called the store directly to make sure that if I leave work and drive a half an hour to go to their store, that they are able to fix my phone. They asked for the insurance claim number, the phone model, the color the model and checked their inventory, and assured me they could fix the issue that day once I arrived. I went to the store and was told they couldn't fix my phone because they can't fix a home button, and that I would have to get a total replacement phone through the insurance company. They said that whoever answered the phone (which no one would admit to) must have "misunderstood". I don't have a problem if they couldn't fix the phone with the issue I had...I have a problem with them telling me they COULD fix the phone when I called and gave me the assurance it could be done. When I voiced my displeasure and frustration, the owners comment to me was that I should have been "more careful" with my phone. Great. Seems to me that if everyone was "more careful" with their phones, that his business wouldn't exist. The way his customer service and technicians competency works now, I don't see that scenario too far off. read more

Kid's iPod Touch 5 went thru the washing machine. Did the thing with the rice for two weeks. Still completely dead. Took it to UBreakIFix in Bloomfield. They tell me they will disassemble, dry it out, clean, test, and see if they can get it working again. I didn't expect a miracle. They called a few days later, said it was beyond repair, and I got it back, no charge. So I figured I'd give it a try myself. I have the skills, I was an electronic technician for many years. I opened it up, and found that they had unsoldered the battery terminals from the motherboard cable, and not re-soldered them before giving it back. They had also not cleaned it; there was corrosion on the back of the motherboard and in the motherboard connectors. There was solder flux all over the battery terminal area, and the flex cable for the terminals was damaged, so the battery could not be properly resoldered. The only thing they did was to try a new battery, and that didn't work, so they said it was beyond repair. And they didn't return it in the same condition, because the battery was not soldered. I took the iPod back to them, and pointed all this out. They told me that one of their best techs had worked on it, and they did not understand why the work was not up to their standards, and they would work on it again, if I wanted. I did not want; I don't trust them any longer. I asked if they would just sell me a new battery, even though they damaged the old one. They fought me a little, said they didn't sell parts, but they would do it in this case, for $29.95. Haha. No way. I ordered a new battery from eBay for $5.85. UBreakIFix works on the low-hanging fruit theme: if it's an easy fix, they'll do it. Anything that might be a little difficult is returned as unrepairable, and unless you can open it yourself, how do you know if the inside is as it was? read more
