After waiting several more days for the replacement glass to arrive, I finally got my iPad back--only to discover my Apple Pencil no longer worked. I'm an artist. I use my iPad with an Apple Pencil all day, not my finger. The person claiming to be the manager actually told me that because I never said I used an Apple Pencil, they installed cheaper glass that isn't Pencil-compatible. The audacity of that excuse is unbelievable. Why would you replace a screen you broke with one that strips away one of the main features of an iPad Pro? And no one ever asked how I used it--they simply told me they broke the screen and would replace it. Any reasonable person would expect it to be replaced with a screen that preserves the device's functionality. When I asked them to make it right, the manager raised his voice, talked over me, and insisted the screen was "fine" because I could still use my finger. He was arrogant, condescending, and completely unprofessional. I came in for a battery replacement. They damaged my iPad, made it less functional than when I brought it in, charged me $167, never apologized, refused to fix their mistake, and yelled at me for expecting them to. I am absolutely flabbergasted. I now have a very expensive iPad that no longer serves its primary purpose, and I had to pay for the privilege. CPR, at a minimum, refund my money. Better yet, the owner should step in, make this right, and seriously reconsider whether this person should be managing customer interactions.

I took it back in when Gordon was working (different guy than the one on Sunday). What a horrible, unprofessional and smartass employee!! WOW!!!!!! I've had have my own business for over 30 years.......I couldn't imagine treating a customer like he treated me. He insinuated and basically accused me of spilling something on my keyboard. Pressure on keys were still uneven and backlight on my keyboard didn't work. Whomever installed it obviously didn't reconnect.....so now I type with a dark keyboard at night. Yes, I became angry and was appalled at his narcissistic and accusatory attitude. Asked me what the "residue" was on my keyboard. I walked out with my computer so fast and so mad and insulted.......NOTHING WAS SPILLED ON MY COMPUTER, GORDON!! It was their shoddy work and incompetency to install a keyboard that still isn't right!! He was absolutely disgusting to deal with. What a horrible representation of this business. I did call the Austin stores to share the story. According to the Austin stores, they're not connected, but students at Texas State should be warned about the quality of the San Marcos store.

I drove to his shop from Austin and he repaired the boards I was bringing him on the spot ! All the other Austin places I had contacted had a long wait time and much higher prices. For Austin people yes he's in Canyon Lake but he'll do a much better job than most shops, he'll do it faster and probably cheaper. You can also ship him the broken electronics, which will probably be faster and cheaper even with shipping time/costs than to get someone in Austin with a long wait time charging a premium to do the job. Daniel's also very nice and patient, which can't be said for most similar shops. And most importantly he's honest - he recommended to *not* repair one of the logic boards I had brought him even if he would have made money doing it. Highly recommended.
