Do not recommend taking devices here. My laptop has been under review for 3 weeks when i was told it would take 7 days to diagnose and repair. I have to call every week to follow up on my device, every time i call there is always an excuse as to why my repair hasnt been completed. The deductible is pricy and not worth the wait. read more

I was at the San Marcos store today for my Xbox issue.They called back about an hour later and said they couldn't fix the issue. She said pretty much she just dusted it cause it was a hardware issue they couldn't fix. I was asking if I could get a refund on the diagnostics and they said the manager should be able to. I waited 3 hours for the manager just for him to tell me no. The workers were awesome. The manager was not. read more

The San Marcos store does not fail to disapoint. Six months ago I was sent here by Samsung tech support. They first told me it would be ready in 30 minutes, said it just needed . 1 hour later they tell me, not today, ready tomorrow. Tomorrow comes, they tell me I need a sub board they will have to order, give them 5 days to get it in. Four days later, they tell me it just needed a better cleaning, it was ready come get it. It was fine till this morning, the battery died, so I put it onto my charger. 4 hours later, the screen will not light up.. Called Samsung, they tell me it is under warranty, send me back to YouBreak I fix.Tech checks it out, tells me it is out of warranty, and there will be a charge to do any further investagation. Went hom, called Samsung, they gave me a ticket number, told me to have UBrease that reference number, because it IS still under warranty. Going to the New Braunfelds store Sunday to see if they can fix it. Stay as far away from SAN MARCOS U Break I FIX as you can. read more

This place is the worst they were rude as hell. And oh by the way they do not work on Samsung phones for at least a week.

I took a laptop in to get a screen replaced they couldn't give me an estimated repair date, they didn't have the screen module in stock, and weren't sure if the part would arrive in 3, or 6 days (one or the other). BUT they did give me a repair cost. 3 days later I called to get an estimated repair date. They weren't sure when the part would come in, and I did not get a response if the part had even been ordered. with never a peep from them I called a week after dropping it off. Not surprisingly they still couldn't tell me when the part would arrive or if it had even been ordered. I told them I would be down to pick it up that day. 2 days later I had the part from Amazon (normal shipping), and 30 minutes from arrival my computer was working great again, it was just a snap in module. This is the second absolute failure by the San Marcos branch, the last time they said the same laptop was dead, and would be too costly to repair, they were obviously wrong. I would trust them to replace screens and batteries, IF they had the part in stock, at this point nothing else. All this could have been solved with two way communication, I said what I needed, they said NOTHING! I give it 6 mo. either they will be closed, or under new management, and possibly new ownership. P.S. the part cost 1/2 the price for an exact replacement (not unreasonable IF they had the part in stock). read more

I took my Playstation 4 to this shop to get it cleaned out because its overheating. The guy told me it would cost $30 dollars. The same guy called me back two days later saying he would have to charge two hundred dollars to clean because he found one bug and didn't even open the machine and didn't even give a reason why it cost two hundred. And told me to look it up on YouTube. Really sounds like you people are lazy. read more

Normally I'm not one to leave a review on anything but this place really has me heated. I took my phone in because it wasn't charging, other than that it was in perfect condition. I dropped my phone off so I could pick it up the next day. When I got there the phone still wasn't charged so I sat and waited for it to turn back on, I happily payed and went on my way but on my way out I noticed the screen had several yellow spots on the borders of the screen. I immediately went back so they could fix it because (and I cannot stress this enough) the screen was in perfect condition. I was told that since the phone was dead when I came in, they weren't able to verify that it wasn't like that already. The guy offered me a discount on a screen repair but I would still need to pay ANOTHER 109$ on top of the 140$ I had already spent. I was hoping to up the trade in value of my phone before I traded it in and now it looks like I'm just out 140$. I'm really disappointed in this service, there was no way to prove that it WASNT their fault either but I'm the one that suffered. I feel scammed. read more

took my HP laptop in for a new battery, they never called me with update/i had to call them to find out if it was ready. when we showed up to pick up - it wasn't done. Plus, when i got home and booted up, the laptop did not recognize the battery. Took it back, they still couldn't fix it and refunded my $$. THEY ARE THE LISTED HP AUTHORIZED SERVICE CENTER IN SAN MARCOS! And they screwed up replacing a battery?!?! People were pleasant, but obviously not knowledgeable. The staff at UbreakIfix were marvelous. They did the impossible with a POS samsung Galaxy A01 that no one else even heard of. It costs a little more than I expected, but I've never had a cell phone repair before. They were young and I'm elderly, but they didn't make me feel like a stupid, old woman. I dropped my iPhone in the dog's water bowl. I quickly retrieved it, shook out the water and put it to bed in a baggie full of rice. Next day, it was good as new...until I went to charge it up. The cord wouldn't go all the way in. I assumed a piece of rice was in the way. I couldn't clear it; in fact, I couldn't even see it. I brought it to uBreakiFix and Ryan had it cleared in moments and even charged the phone up a bit for me. Really happy I found this place! read more
