I rarely leave reviews, but this experience was frustrating enough that I feel obligated to warn others. I brought my GameCube into this shop expecting a straightforward diagnostic and repair. I was initially told that I would receive an update relatively quickly. Instead, I spent over three weeks chasing them down myself, making multiple calls just to get any kind of status update. Communication was essentially nonexistent unless I initiated it. When I finally did get a response, I was told they couldn't even properly assess the system because they didn't have the correct visual cables to test a GameCube. That alone was surprising--how does a repair shop accept a console they aren't equipped to test? It gets worse. When I arrived in person, Devin D told me that they had been able to see the GameCube working while it was in the shop. This directly contradicted what I had just been told over the phone. So which is it? Either the system was tested successfully, or it wasn't even viewable due to missing equipment. The inconsistency felt dishonest and left me with zero confidence in anything I was being told. At that point, I asked for a refund due to the lack of progress and the conflicting information. I was told that a manager would follow up with me regarding the refund, but given the pattern of poor communication and contradictory statements, I have little faith that will actually happen without further effort on my end. Overall, this was a disappointing and unnecessarily stressful experience. Between the long delays, lack of basic equipment, and inconsistent explanations, it felt like my time--and trust--were not respected. In hindsight, I would have been better off attempting the repair myself or going elsewhere. I strongly recommend others think twice before bringing their devices here. read more

The display on my Apple Watch came loose. I stopped by to see what it would take to put it back together. The clerk took the watch back to have their technician look at it to see if it could be fixed. Less than five minutes later she came back and handed me my watch and it was fixed! In functioning order, as it states in my "Quick Diagnostic" portion of my receipt. I did the research to be sure it was worth fixing as I called this stores location. The Nintendo 3DS XL just needed to replace the game card reader, and if UBreakIfix could restore it. I was told by this stores location, yes. Weeks had gone by and I finally got a call 1/21/25 with an update. I was told my Nintendo 3DS XL would be fixed within the next week. I even have a voicemail saying so. A week went by, and I called for an update. I was told by Josh, on a phone call; that they took my Nintendo 3DS XL a-part, and we're trying to figure out how to charge my Nintendo 3DS XL. I had to drive all the way to the store, on Feb. 1st just to BRING them a charger. It has already been a month and nobody communicated with me, they needed a charger. You would think they would be fully equipped if they were able to fix your electronic device. Or even give you a call communicating they need a charger. Not neglect your retro/classic gaming console - electronic device. I had to wait in person for communication on an update on my Nintendo 3DS XL. I got to hear one of the repair associates, named Berlin discuss my Nintendo 3DS XL. This employee decides to laugh and shout "this is just a Nintendo 3DS XL, it isn't even, a Nintendo 4DS. That's crazy.." I immediately took my Nintendo 3DS XL back. The lack of professionalism was crazy. -No communication given for the charger to be dropped off. My discussions with the store before Feb 1st were completely different. I even took a photo of my gaming console charging perfectly in the store before I left. Only problem now, is the Nintendo 3DS XL wont power on, after taking it immediately from their physical safekeeping. Leaving my classic gaming system in their physical safekeeping was indeed, crazy. If I could give a negative stars I would. I showed up at 11am for a battery change. The guy locks me out of Apple so my phone is locked for an hour have to go back to unlock phone which then I have to wait back inline for phone to get worked on. I leave the store a second time only for them to call me 20 min later to tell me the number doesn't match the insurance claim. Had to go back to store for the 3rd time to do another claim and once again my phone when to back of line they then told me it was going to be 2 hours. By this time my phone was suppose to be ready at 4 it is now 4:30 phone STILL NOT ready they now have broke my screen and it's going to be another 1-1.5 hours for screen to be fixed. I showed back up at 6:30 and my phone was finally ready. I will NEVER be going back to this place. I bought my cellphone (Galaxy Flip) into store to have screen protector replaced. I was told it would take 4 hours to replaced screen protector. I really didn't understand why it takes 4 hours to simply replace screen protector but unfortunately, couldn't any other place that had the screen protector for my phone. I returned to the store after 4 hours and phone still wasn't ready. I had to wait there for another 35 minutes for them to finish. Well, three days later the screen protector began peeling off. I had a lightning strike that damaged my PlayStation 5 so I took it to this ubreakifix location. I told them that it was most likely the power supply that was bad. They kept my PS5 for over 3 weeks before I called back and they told me that they couldn't fix it, because of a logic board fault . When I picked it up i noticed that there was a clanking inside and one of the corners was loose. After this I sent my PS5 to Sony for repairs but they wouldn't even touch it and they sent it back stating that they wouldn't work on it due to "neglect" . I found another repair store in San Antonio and they informed me that my ps5 was missing screws and parts ! They replaced what they could but I am still replacing parts. They did confirm that it was the power supply that went bad. My PlayStation 5 had never been opened up before ubreakifix it touched it . read more

I have been to this place three times and the employees there are super helpful and answered all my questions. First time was to get a kindle screen fixed. The employee was honest and not just there to make money. He recommended that I just trash it. It was the same price to get the kindle fixed then to just buy the newest one. Love it the honesty! Second time was thru Verizon. My iPhone was acting funky and the screen would not turn on but it was on. The did a hard reboot and even showed me what to do if it happens again. The explained that with the recent upgrade some phones were doing it. Great customer service. This last time I had an appointment with Chris. He was very helpful with my daughters phone. The battery was shot and not holding a charge for long. He answered my many questions and I ended up upgrading her phone and not getting a new battery. So they didn't get my business this time. But Chris had great customer service and didn't push at all. I definitely recommend this place if you need your device fixed. They are honest and not out to just make money. read more

I saw the reviews and thought it would be an excellent idea, unfortunately it wasn't. I've had my phone for 2 years and dropped it MANY times, the screen never broke this easy until I dropped something heavy on it. Went in for a repair and was charged $160.00 to replace it, no problem. The problem came when some buttons weren't working and as soon as I accidentally drop it *with a case!* it cracks and no warranty. Well that's one way to waste $160. To say the least, I believe I was sold a "cheap high-quality" screen. Best advice is go to Apple, they charge less and there's a warranty. read more

I wasdriving across the country and dropped my phone last night which disabled large sections of the screen. I was not sure where I was going to spend the night that day but I happened to be in the outskirts of San Antonio and thought about looking up a place to repair my screen. I found this place and called them even though they were closing in 15 minutes to see if there was any chance they could get me in. The screen repair for my iPhone Pro Max was quoted at 400 something dollars but thankfully I have insurance on my phone through Asurion so I filed a claim and the guy said he could not promise that he would get the claim information through his computer in time before closing but he said I could try and head into his shop.. I submitted the claim and selected his location at the repair facility and pulled into the shop. When I got there there were a couple of people in front of me picking up their phone and when it was finally my turn the claim had just came in. They were able to get me in and out in less than 20 minutes. They were awesome! Not only did they replace my cracked screen but they also cleaned my speakers and microphone out because they were really dirty. My phone looks brand new. Thank you guys! read more

I had a terrible experience with this particular store I called it done more than three times let them know my issue what kind of phone I had it as a mess he can fix it and if they had the part, they didn't have it the exact part and so I had to choose a different color and they quoted me $240 for the back of an Apple iPhone 12 Lavender which I then had to choose white. I want them that I was going out of town over the weekend iPhone I also told them that I live pretty far away from the store and then I was going to have to drive all the way there in rush-hour traffic which took me almost 3 hours to get there & once I got there do you guy that I'm pretty sure who's the one I was talking to in the phone and not even greet me explaining my situation because he acted like he didn't even know what I was talking about and I've called that store multiple times prior went to the back a few times and then comes out and tells me that they're gonna have to hold my phone for 24 to 48 hours. Which is absolutely absurd and I should've been notified of that before I drove all the way there with no map on how to get back because I just moved here. I was all by myself and there's absolutely no way I could've seen my phone 48 hours when I don't know where I'm at I know much about the city I'm in. I was astounded how crappy that customer service was at the store and already went to the other store and they are going to be fix my phone in 3 to 4 hours and they have my color! I had my phone screen repaired on 02/22/20 by ubreakifix and 10 days (03/02/20) later I noticed two line cracks on the "new" screen. I called ubreakifix and was told to come to the store and they will look at it. I got to the store and the response was "we can not tell where or how these cracks happened, but we can repair it for you again for a price"...Not. I believe the screen ubreakifix put on was defective or the work was bad! They may be cheaper than other repair shops but if they are repairing phones with cheap, defective or bad parts I would NOT use them. I personally will NOT refer or suggest ubreakifix to anyone for phone repairs and I sure will NEVER be using them again!! read more
