I was exceedingly happy with this business for years. I even drove pretty much across town, from Seminole Heights to Carrollwood, every time I needed my phone repaired. Great, honest service and very nice people. The last time I was there, the person at the front desk suggested that I buy their insurance for $41 a month. He said that after 30 days I could get my phone repaired for free. It seemed a tiny bit pricey but I went for it. After about 70 days, and after I had paid for three months of coverage, I needed a repair. I brought my phone in. The very nice woman at the front desk gave me a number to call to file a claim. I called the number and was told that once I filed the claim I had to wait 30 days to get a repair. And I'd have to pay for another month of coverage. (Of course, I had no way of knowing that in 30 days they wouldn't tell me I had to wait yet another 30 days.) I canceled the plan and took the phone to the front desk. I figured since I was there I'd pay for the repair myself -- I couldn't wait 30 days for my phone -- and then I'd cut ties with uBreakiFix. He took all the information and then told me they didn't have the needed part. I had been there for almost half an hour before I was told that. I told the guy that I would be taking my business elsewhere because I that they scammed me. He nodded in agreement and said nothing. My mom's Samsung Galaxy S21+ had a swollen battery that was pushing the back of the phone off and making it hard to power with the case. I looked for an authorized Samsung phone repair facility in Tampa and was led here by Yelp. They ordered the battery and it took 1 week to get there. They quoted a 2 hr time to replace the battery. I waited there. While the process itself took 2 hours, there was a diagnostic program that had to be downloaded and then run afterwards and then some other approvals from Samsung making it 3 hrs. The total fee with tax was about $95. The phone functioned fine. The back panel of the phone was undamaged and the case fits properly now. All the phone functions and stored emails/texts/photos were not disturbed. If you need to repair Apple products, they will use generic parts but this place has official ties to Samsung and only use official Samsung parts.. Their website listed ubreakifix as a legit repair facility. They also repair computers/game consoles there. The only real negative was that they didn't contact me when the battery reached their store. They claimed they did,but I never received an email/text/voice call. . read more

Absolutely unacceptable!!! This was genuinely the worst customer experience I have ever encountered. Luis at the front desk repeatedly dismissed me and offered no real assistance. Instead of helping, he continually walked to the back, leaving me standing there with no acknowledgment. I had to call out multiple times just to get anyone's attention. Luis made it very clear he did not want to work with me. He told me he couldn't help me pick up the phone I had scheduled and received confirmation for, without making any effort to resolve the issue. I had to step outside and call AT&T myself, and once I had them on the phone, their representative informed me that Luis could have resolved everything on his end. It was extremely disappointing to learn that the only reason my issue wasn't handled was because he simply chose not to assist. After I involved AT&T directly, Luis suddenly became willing to help--only after I had already been sitting at the front desk, completely ignored, for over thirty minutes. I will not be returning to any You Break It, You Fix It location after this experience. The level of customer service I received was unacceptable, and I left feeling extremely frustrated, dismissed, and disappointed. read more

Nope, not a fan. I accept part of the blame - I should have asked when I called to make sure they were open, how long it would take for them to look at my desktop CPU. If they had told me over the phone 3-4 days, I would not have brought it to them. But, they were on my way to work, so I blithely went in assuming it would be a couple of days and I would have it back. I dropped it off, explained the problem, and they guy said "Oh, it's probably the power source". Cool - that would be great if that's all it was. So, I wait a couple days - look at my receipt which says, "Diagnostic Ready by 8/19/20 10:29" which is exactly 2 days after I dropped it off, and call for update. I was told they hadn't looked at it yet, but they would that evening. Okay, great. I call back in the evening. I was told they couldn't diagnose it without a new power source, which they had to order, but it would arrive in two days. I call back in two days - no, it hasn't arrived. Finally Monday I get a call (a week after I dropped it off) that the power source arrived, but the computer still wouldn't work and they couldn't fix it. My frustration is that it took so long for them to say they couldn't do anything. Had they ordered the power source when I first dropped it off I would have known sooner that they were not capable of fixing it and I could have ordered & received a new computer already. And the guy carrying my dead computer back to my car tried to argue with me that on my receipt it shows that it takes 3-4 days on the diagnostic turnaround. Which is does is the teeniest, tiniest writing (see receipt picture) but they still did not even meet this deadline. I would pass on bringing a desktop CPU in for them to repair; it looks like fixing broken screens is the maximum of their capabilities. read more

DO NOT BRING YOUR GAME SYSTEM HERE. I brought my playstation 5 here two times for the same problem with my hdmi port. After the first time of getting it fixed, it started to mess up again without me doing anything so i brought it back. Then they proceed to tell me it it wasn't covered with warranty. After getting my system back for the SECOND time, it the hami port messes up AGAIN without me doing anything to it. So i bring it back for a THIRD time to get the same issue fixed, now they want to tell me there's all of a sudden a issue with my system turning on, WHICH HAS NEVER HAD AN ISSUE WITH THE 4 YEARS IVE HAD MY SYSTEM, and now have to wait an additional FOUR WEEKS because they have to ship it off. they do NOT know how fix game systems. My iPhone screen went black on Tuesday (I use my phone a ton for work so it was kind of an emergency) and they got it done in about an hour and a half. The screen was more temperamental than my old one and the pressure to type is quite a bit more and the hue is very blue. All things I felt like I could get used to However the screen immediately started overheating the phone (it has never overheated the entire time I've had the phone) and the upper left corner of the screen wasn't very responsive and when I tried to hit the back button with my finger, the new screen cracked. It's now Friday and it has broken all the way across the screen diagonally. The fee to get it replaced was $169! I'm pretty disappointed in the quality of this screen when I thought I'd be getting apple quality (I realize it probably wouldn't be genuine apple but for that price I expected more than a $29 screen from amazon). My son's iPhone SE was only $189 for the whole thing! Update: spoke to the manager today and they are unwilling to stand by their weak low quality screens (this one is raised up as well so more prone to further cracking) and he said they can open it and if it cracks he will have to charge me for another screen and he blamed the battery and not their junk screen for the overheating issues Don't WASTE YOUR TIME BY GOING HERE. This was my second visit to this shop The first fix was for my iPad mini 4 which had a bad battery. The techs replaced the battery and my iPad was as good as new. The second fix was for my Dell XPS 13 laptop. Its an older laptop but its fast and has touch screen. The battery was shot and had started to expand. These guys went the extra mile to find a quality battery as they are very hard to find. They could have easily told me that they couldn't fix it. When I got the laptop back, I charged it and got six hours of use from the new battery. I have been very impressed with the professionalism as well as the fair pricing and will make sure if any of my devices have issues, I won't hesitate to go back. read more

My husband took in my laptop because we were having some issues with the sound. He dropped it off for them to check it out and said they would call him in it. They called back with the price and to see if they should proceed with fixing it. He told them yes and we didn't think anything of it. A week later he then received a call back from a woman who says there was a mixup as one employee confirmed that my husband wanted to proceed with the order while another claims that my husband called to cancel it. He assured them that he WANTED them to fix the laptop. It's the only one we have in the house and we need it. Another week passes and we are told that the wrong part came in and the only other place that would have it would be in the UK and would come between October 6-20th (we initially dropped of this thing back on September 14th. Like I said earlier this is the only laptop in the house and it's a necessity. They said while they wait for the part in the UK we could pick up the laptop and they would call us when the part came in. My husband went today to pick it up and they were unable to cover the laptop as needed for usage and said we have to leave it there till the part came in. Updating my review: Took my phone to the Apple store to find out this location ruined the logic board of my phone. They installed a faulty screen and ruined my phone while at it. I am now having to cough up an additional $400 to have the whole motherboard of my phone replaced as these incompetent "techs" are not able to do a simple screen replacement. Total scam .Tried to charge me what I could buy 2 of my phone's new for a screen replacement.

I went in was told a price agreed with them to replace the back of my iPhone 12. They told me that there would be a discount and my phone would also come with a screen protector and none of these things happened it cost me about $60 more to fix my phone then originally agreed upon. All they did was a $10 discount which to me was an insult. I just paid and left I'm so mad at this place and the way they conducted business. read more

After spending a week working with another cell phone repair shop on a cracked screen, I decided to take it here. Jason was extremely professional, and opened the phone to review the other shop's 'repair'. He identified several deficiencies in their attempt (missing screws, missing waterproof seal around screen, long screw where a short one belonged, blue tabs left on replacement screen, etc.) After a few hours, they identified that there was a charging issue that they could not repair. He suggested I work with the other shop to resolve the matter. He was generous enough to waive the standard diagnosis fee. I will return to work with them in the future. read more

I had a smashed up 7 Plus that needed a new screen and a home button replacement. I told them I needed the phone before Christmas as I was giving it to my son as a gift. They told me they would see if they could order necessary parts in time. They called me and explained that the pet wouldn't be here on time, but if I was willing to accept a black home button they could fix immediately. I asked if they would replace the screen and home button with a black finish (like the 8 Plus style) and they said no problem at all.
