But he called me up to let me know and we worked out a time - he personally promised to set that time aside for me. I showed up, he confirmed it was the right screen, we went through some tests - it was glitchy - then he rebooted and it seems to have unglitched. As I now touch my screen to confirm, Device Surgeon got it done. They fought the mail, they put the customer first, and navigated a tricky situation successfully. I went from the first shop to the kiosk back to the shop and then they asked that I go to the other storefront store. They didn't want to call the other stores which was odd, but I guess they wanted me to show them my device. They did a very good job replacing my lens and I think the model of these stores is to fix the ever present cracked screens that plagues us smartphone users these days.
