I went in to get the back of my phone replaced because the glass cracked. What I got back was a phone that no longer had a GPS that could accurately detect where I am. No matter if it's Apple Maps or Google maps or All trails. Recently, I got lost on a trail that was not well marked and had small diversions. I had a screenshot of the AllTrails map, but when I actually opened the app, it would place me anywhere, but on the trail. Most of the time it didn't even have me moving anywhere. I have been marked in parking lot when I am clearly on a trail. Anyway, all this to say that the store does not take responsibility for the issue, and instead blames it on Apple and my cell carrier (AT&T). read more

This company sucks, my Xbox needed repair. Was told on the phone if it was power supply or board I'd be looking at about $250-350. They tell me it's the board after inspecting it, but they won't/can't repair it as the board repair is more than the whole system new..... I don't know if I even trust their diagnosis to be honest. Called a local repair place and he quoted be $150-175 to replace the board with parts and labor. read more

I will not be moving forward with this company as I have no confidence with this company to repair my phone or any device timely... I was told now that I will be getting a refund in three to five days with a check mailed refund. I was told my phone would be repaired without a hassle. The business damaged my phone where now it doesn't work at all. I have had a broken screen on front and back glass the camera would not take pictures through the front camera but did through the back camera in QR scan. I was given the opportunity to pay for new glass but the guy said he would not repair it now because Samsung will not allow the repair and hands me a vary hot phone he had removed off a hot plate from in back. Now I do not have a phone functionality with the phone that was cooked in back by Damien. I do not feel comfortable moving forward with having this company work on any of my electronic devices. When I came in on Saturday to pick up my phone I waited 3 hours for a phone that was to be ready for pick up. I waited 3 hours and was told it would be ready first thing Monday morning. I arrived fifteen minutes early. They were 40 minutes late opening up. I talked to several customers upset that Monday morning in the parking lot about this company's inability to get here on time. I recently had an incredibly disappointing experience with Asurion Phone and Tech Repair in Geneva and I feel compelled to share my negative review. I brought in my beloved MacBook Pro for repair, hoping to get it back in working condition at a reasonable cost compared to the Apple Store. However, the store managed to exceed my worst expectations. Not only did they fail to fix the initial issue, but they also managed to damage my Mac further. To add insult to injury, they had the audacity to charge me a staggering $500 for their "services." It's infuriating to think that I paid such a hefty sum for nothing but a ruined device. The level of incompetence and lack of accountability displayed by Asurion is truly astounding, and I strongly advise anyone considering their services to steer clear and avoid this store at all costs. I ended up bringing my Mac to the Apple Store and it had to be wiped. Not to mention they cracked my menu bar and didn't even offer to issue me any sort of refund. I had brought my iPad here to have them fix a cracked screen. About 1 week later the screen began to come off the frame. I brought it back and they replaced the screen. About 1 or 2 months later the screen began to come apart again. I brought it back for the warranty and they said the frame was very slightly bent and they could not fix. $300 dollars and they could even fix it properly. Terrible place. Take it somewhere else. I ended up bending the frame back to the original position and brought it somewhere else. read more

Since I was in the area I thought I'd try this place out. The repair price Total for the phone was almost $200. My screen does this weird ghost flickering due to the screen probably not being properly installed. This place does have a 90-day warranty which Isn't explained to the customer on what it even covers or if it's free. My phone was given back with 5% battery life and very hot due to them heating it. This to me means that my phone wasn't even tested properly for glitches or anything during the 24+ hours I let them keep it. I'm probably going to have to go back because the phone screen still flickers randomly. Also before handing over my phone I made the mistake of not taking photos of the phone before given to them. The phone was only chipped in the right upper hand part of the screen by only less than 1cm and the entire top portion of the screen was jarring out by less than 1cm too. When receiving the phone back I have no idea why but they seemed to have pried the screen off and bent the crap out of the right upper portion of my phone. Then tried to bend it back into place... The lock button was broken and had been for a while and I was fine with it but they up sold me on getting that fixed as well. They also fixed the home button for free because they said it was falling off anyway. They charged me for a battery repair because the old one was "swollen" They try to do fast business here I think to make quick money. My advice to others is to just go to Tekkies in Bartlett. That's where I've gotten quality quick phone repairs done and the prices are lower. Or just do the ifixit/eBay/Amazon/YouTube it. The customer service over all is superb though that's one thing I can say about this place. They give professional answers. But my phone is not what I was expecting when I got it back. Oh very positive experience fixing the screen on my iPad. The price negotiate it was very fair, I had considered that my iPad was too costly to repair conventionally through Apple. I was pleasantly surprised to find that this company offered alternatives. I had a small problem several months after the fact with the home button, I was prepared for the runaround. But I got the same level profession that I initially received. It took my device in again and repaired the home button problem with no charge. Time and again this store has come to our rescue :) Over the last few years, we have brought in our family gadets - iPod, iPhone, iPad for repair work. They are reasonably priced. Their service is exceptional. Today my teenager had her iPhone battery replaced. Her phone had been acting up lately (holding no charge). The apple customer service advised her to get the battery replaced. The closest Apple store's 'genius bar' appointment was a week away. So we called our heroes and they offered to have it fixed for us under 20 mins! They even matched Apple's promotion pricing on the battery replacement. This store always goes above and beyond. Totally dissatisfied with their customer service. I brought a cellphone in that was dead (unable to be restarted by Verizon associates) and asked to retrieve information that was on it. They were unable to accomplish this but had suggested that I sign up for their $25.00 per month service plan that would cover all electronics. I signed up and two days later my husband broke the screen on his smartwatch (a supposedly covered item). As I was trying to decide if there was a reason to stay on the plan anyway, we took the watch in. Was told that claims can't be filed for 30 days. I asked how much a replacement screen would cost that wasn't covered under their plan and they were unable to help. Looks to me as if they want to sell their warranty plans only. read more

These guys were great to speak with and talk to you like a human being not a customer they're trying to get money from. They almost make you forget you're in there because of how frustrated you are with your phone and AT&T. My phone was ready to go the next day and looked beautiful. I was also relived they had a 90 guarantee policy because within a month my touch screen stopped detecting anything. I took it and and they repaired it no problem. Besides their customer service the store front is open and welcoming. They have informative posters on the wall to amuse yourself reading if they don't get out of the back room immediately. Well I walked in with an expensive gaming laptop that worked other than a loose port that needed repair. I thought I would come here because of all the positive yelp reviews. I waited 5 of the 7 business days they said it would take to get the part in to call them and check in. They tell me they forgot to order the part. Ok, that wouldn't have bothered me, I am pretty easy going, but it was just the beginning of the nightmare scenario. Three days later they call me to tell me that not only will the display not come on, but the entire thing is "beyond repair." I was in total shock. This is a one year old machine, used only by careful adults. This laptop worked entirety fine besides a loose charging port and all of a sudden it's broken beyond repair? We had used it just fine literally five minutes before we took it in. You can imagine how angry we were. They tried to tell us we signed off on the machine being dropped but we never said that once, so if it was on the sheet an employee must have added it. After a lengthy heated back and forth with the manager, he claimed he called the owner and there was nothing they could do. Unbelievable. So maybe they are good for phones, but just beware they may destroy a prize possession and basically tell you to get bent. read more

They were able to fix the camera on my phone without a problem. They were pleasant and communicated well. It was obviously much cheaper than the insurance or having to buy a new phone. However, their website and the follow up survey they send do not work on mobile devices. For a techy company, I'd expect that I could make an appointment online or fill out the survey with my phone. Also, I turned in my phone on a Saturday afternoon. They reported that they would follow up by 2:00 on Sunday. They didn't, so my husband called and they said they'd call back. They did, five minutes before the store closed, to say that they needed to order a part. My phone was still functional and I could have picked it up Sunday afternoon instead of having to wait until Monday. I brought in my laptop with a broken hinge for them to fix, after best buy said it would take 3 weeks. They told me they should be able to fix it, they just had to find the parts. A day later they called after failing to find the parts, saying they couldn't fix it. When I picked up my laptop, they had increased the amount of damage! What a disaster, don't bring your electronics here. Also, they wanted me to give them the password to my laptop. That's a pretty insecure policy. I had removed my SIM card from my iPhone and put it back in wrong. It was stuck. Really stuck. I drove there in a panic and 30 minutes before closing time. All I could think of while I was driving there was that I had just cancelled the insurance on my phone 2 days ago.
