Yesterday I noticed my iPhone had a crack in the screen.... I was upset to say the least! I use an Otterbox, don't leave it laying around and had a screen protector too. I called Verizon, filed a claim, paid my deductible and they sent me here for a repair. It turned out it was my screen protector that was damaged, not the screen. No major repair was needed. Had several phones repaired here in the past. My husband was in Wisconsin on vacation and wasn't able to charge his phone. We assumed it was probably the battery and took it to be replaced. A very pleasant lady asked if she could diagnose the problem. Took it in the back and explained that the was a great deal of lint. Because of the design lint gets in and makes it difficult for the charging cord to make a good connection. They don't charge for cleaning so the repair was free. She also cleaned my two phones. the customer service here is OUTSTANDING. Very kind, friendly, and knowledgeable. our switch kept breaking and the girl noticed it was the same spot that was going bad so she said to check our games at home. sure enough, one of our games was bent and breaking the piece inside the switch. I do wish it was less expensive to fix it, but that's life. lol. read more

Brought my phone into the store because it would not charge any longer and Eric the technician took the case off and noticed that there was some substance on earth. He took it to the back cleaned it up gave it back to me said it should be working fine now. I asked what the charge was and he said there is no charge. I was assigned this store when I filled out my insurance claim to fix my broken iPhone 11 screen. They do not take appointments, it's all first come, first served. I brought the phone in on Sunday morning when they opened at noon. Erik was very friendly and knowledgeable with what needed to be done. I received a call a little over an hour later saying my phone repair was complete. My phone looks great. I asked for another screen protector to be put on as well and they happily did that. Since I had a repair done I got $10 off the screen protector. Thank you for fixing my phone and being hassle free to work with. I went here to get my screen fixed and they looked at my phone and told me they could not work on it because it had a corroded charging port. Keep in mind they looked at it alone in the back. I broke my charger piece in my phone this morning and it truly frustrated my morning. So I was recommended to go to ubreakiFix and the service was amazing. I was helped by Devin and her service was immaculate, she was easy to talk to and helped me immediately when I got into the store. Worst place to go to fix a phone in the area I went to get my iPhone 12 display replaced and they put a fake one one and it said it in my settings and my phone was acting erratic and restarting on its own. So I went to take my phone back and they said oh we fixed it and sure enough they did nothing to fix my problem. I took my phone to apple and they tell me nothing is wrong with my phone internally but this display is fake and that's causing all my issues. So I have it replaced by apple and now my phone works fine. Also they scratched up the side of my phone trying to take off the display and they refuse to give me a refund on the crappy work they did so BUYERS BEWARE. read more

I've been having issues being able to hear when I'm talking on the phone, I went to Best Buy and they ran diagnostic tests and told me the fix would cost $225. I came to the store to see if they could help me and in less than three minutes Eric cleaned out my speaker and was able to fix the issue for me free of charge. Before taking it to the Apple store or to another repair shop always come here first because they do such a great job! read more

UBREAKIFIX has given me the biggest headache of my life. I honestly HATE that you are the primary repair center of Google Preferred Care. I have never despised seeing a logo as much as yours, and here's why: I dropped my phone and cracked the screen to the point that the LCD is slightly bleeding out at the corner. The touch functionality no longer works as a result, but because Android is a Linux-based operating system, I can actually hook up a USB computer mouse and still use my phone. I even get a mouse-pointer on my screen when it's connected. Honestly, this is pretty great seeing as though I have made FIVE ATTEMPTS to have my screen repaired at multiple locations, yet I still have a busted phone. I live 106 miles from your nearest location. THAT IS A TWO HOUR DRIVE, ONE WAY. That gets us to FOUR HOURS PER ATTEMPT, in addition to waiting for the phone repair. Attempt #3, Montgomery, IL store in December 2020: Yes, I've been using a broken phone with a mouse for a few months. Since the nearest store is 2 hours away and I am currently working 60+ hours a week, it's hard to find the time to make it to the store. Isaac, the associate who I met with, happily took my phone and let me know it would be 2-3 hours for the repair. However, upon waiting 2 hours, I looked at the online device repair tracking and the status showed "Declined - Ready for Pickup". Confused, I returned to the store, only to be greeted by a woman (unfortunately don't have her name, but wish I would've gotten it for this complaint). She informed me that upon intake of the device, other functions (sound, camera, etc) were not tested, which is a requirement of theirs. Not sure why she couldn't have called me HOURS before, but hey, whatever. I am then informed that because the screen is not functional (THE ENTIRE REASON I AM AT THE STORE), they couldn't test other functions. Apparently, this woman has read the entire contract and fine print of the Google Preferred Care policy AND the contract between UBREAKIFIX and Assurant (the warranty on my phone that was covering the cost of the screen repair). I was told that the sound, camera, etc need to be tested to confirm there are no other issues with the phone. I offer to prove everything they need to test using my mouse, but I am told that the Google Preferred Care contract and the agreement between UBREAKIFIX and Assurant requires them to test the functions without the use of any other devices or tools (ie my computer mouse). Confused and astonished, she basically tells me they aren't repairing my phone. But wait... Naperville attempted it twice, yet she refused the repair? Okay, now I'm pissed, but I leave. Thank you so much for wasting 2 hours of my time, in addition to the fuel costs it took me to get up there. So here I am, a broken phone still in hand. UBREAKIFIX is F&$%ING TERRIBLE. Worst experiences I have ever had. The Naperville, IL store is the ONLY store that has made any sort of attempt to fix my phone and the associates there are super polite and apologetic, even though it's no fault of their own that the parts were defective. They should honestly be given a customer service award. The woman at the Montgomery, IL store should probably find another job. read more

FABULOUS customer service and quick! A tiny piece of my son's charger broke inside his iPad. I looked online to first try and fix it myself. I couldn't get it. Since it wasn't an Apple-brand charger and iPad wasn't under warranty, I didn't even bother with Apple store. I'd been here before to have my iPhone screen fixed, and had great service then. But I honestly didn't think they'd be able to get this tiny piece out of son's iPad, so I didn't even make an appt and just walked in. My son came in specifically to get his camera fixed and his screen was also cracked. They only fixed the cracked screen and did not fix the camera. I went myself to go pick up his phone the next day because they were busy , they never once said that they could not fix the camera. My son went back to let them know that the camera was still not fixed and they said they can refund him but they would have to return the cracked screen on the phone and there would be risks of the phone not working, the young worker apologized and said that he didn't read the notes correctly about the camera being fixed. I believe the situation was taking advantage because he was a teenager and they misinterpreted a lot of what they were saying it was their fault on their end and they should've gave us a refund. I went in and asked to talk to the manager the young girl had a very bad attitude from the very beginning , she said the manager won't be around so I asked to let me know when he comes back I will return so she ends up calling him on the phone. He also went around in circles explaining things that didn't make sense and said that he cannot give us a refund until they return us the correct screen which was not our fault that they did not fix the camera they were very unprofessional I do not recommend this place I never write any bad reviews about anything or anywhere and this is my first time because I believe this situation was taking advantage of a young teenager and didn't give them the correct information and nothing was set in writing. read more
