They genuinely want what's best for you and they don't beat around the bush or up sale you. Today I went in for a filing by the new dentist- Dr G (idk how to spell his last name) Anyways, he was very professional, he let me know exactly what he was doing and made me feel in control of my appointment. I was a happy patient here for many years and trusted this office with my dental care…read more Unfortunately, my most recent experience completely changed my opinion. Not only did I leave feeling that I did not receive a thorough cleaning, but a procedure was performed without my approval or informed consent. I was then billed for that procedure. When I questioned the charge, I was threatened to pay rather than having my concerns addressed. I escalated the matter to the central billing department, and they acknowledged my concerns and advised me to continue working with the office to resolve the issue. Unfortunately, the office chose not to do so. What disappointed me most was the manager's attitude. After years of loyalty and spending thousands of dollars at this practice,(my husband's teeth concerns are still horrible despite many crowns replaced here) ... I felt I was treated without the respect and professionalism I expected over a $100 charge for a procedure I did not authorize and did not believe was necessary. Especially reminding them to do only what my insurance covered. I have since transferred my care to Texas Dental office seguin. Although it is farther from my home, I gladly make the drive because I am treated with dignity, respect, professionalism, and kindness. Plus free teeth whiting kit for my loyalty. That level of patient care has reminded me what excellent customer service should look like. It's unfortunate that a long-standing relationship ended this way, but every patient deserves to be informed, respected, and asked for consent before any procedure is performed. I wanted to give this review a negative 5 star but that wasn't an option here. THE OWNER'S RESPONSE WAS CONDESCENDING AND ONCE AGAIN DEFLECTING THE ISSUE INSTEAD OF ADDRESSING IT....SEVERE LACK OF ACCOUNTABILITY AS WELL AS THEIR OFFICE MGR. INSTEAD OF CORRECTING THEIR ERROR, THEY THREATEN ME WITH SENDING ME TO COLLECTIONS IF I DID NOT PAY..... SO I REPORTED THIS LOCATION TO BBB, SO THAT OTHER PATIENTS MAY BE AWARE WHEN DEALING WITH THIS LOCATION. Nonetheless, I found an awesome new provider at Texas Dental off Seguin, Mario and the staff's professionalism and experience, was beyond my expectations, so when I was given a personalized teeth whiting kit just for being a patient, I realized that this bad experience with 7 to 7 was all worth it...I found my dental family at Texas Dental.

For starters, Dr. Newman and Dr. Engel are no longer there, and there was no communication about this when I had just begun my ortho treatment. That's something I would have appreciated transparency on, especially since it directly impacts my care. Secondly the new orthodontist has been disappointing. He doesn't introduce himself, barely interacts, and often just walks in and out without much explanation. It honestly makes me question the purpose of coming in when I could just manage my trays at home and track my own progress at this point. I've also seen that others have had similar concerns. From what I've found, he also has negative reviews elsewhere outside of this practice as well, so this experience feels inconsistent and concerning. I really wish there was more transparency and a higher standard of patient care. At the end of the day, I don't understand keeping a provider who doesn't seem to prioritize patient experience.

Dr. Gonzalez had nothing but stellar things to say about Dr. K as she called her. We called to set up the consult and our phone call was greeted by a very friendly voice of Chuck who helped get us scheduled. Everyone is so nice, **I should have gone into orthodontics, everyone is so happy here** We came in for the consult and were greeted with water and an awesome check-in experience. Vickie took us on a tour of the whole office which is state of the art, well organized, and beautiful. She helped us with a basic run-down of the experience as well as a little of her personal testimony about braces in general. Both were very helpful as we were clueless. We waited just a bit for Dr. K as she is working in Stone Oak as well for now. Both Vickie and Chuck were talkative and made us feel at home. Dr. K arrived and talked us through the options. She was so thorough and was making us feel understood. She allowed us to schedule the very next week and in order to save time, allowed us to do the pre-braces checklist for pictures and place spacers before we left to save us time. We are at the appointment now to place the braces. They have a variety of payment options to include: CareCredit, an in-house payment plan with down payment, and a percentage off of the total if paid in full. Not sure if this is a promotion but either way, great options. They do take Tricare and are considered in-network which is always a plus. Now for the amenities, I posted pictures which do it no justice but the facility has a brushing station, game room with free Pacman and a charging station for devices. Their medical equipment is top of line. NO GOOPY MOLDS!! They use 3D imaging and it's amazing to be able to see the potential end product. Their X-ray machine is new and very quick. I can't say enough about this place and its staff. We are so lucky to have found them while we are here. Highly Recommend!
