It was 5 dollars for entry no discounts. A little steep for a park but it's a city park. Not even city employees or police get a break we were told. A short drive in and we were at the parking lot. There was 2 courses. My daughter hadn't thrown in years so we planned on just practicing a little. There's actually 3+ practice baskets in one area. I've nEver seen that before. After getting some confidence there, we decided to play 2 holes. It was a good time. First hole gave us even more confidence as it was long but down hill and open. A very easy par. 2nd hope we played was short but very uphill. Also a rewarding par. After that we called it a morning. A Great initial viewing of the course, and plan to be back soon.

There is ample parking throughout, and plenty of shade structures for the ever present sunny days. We came for the playground which boasts an aerial walkway, and numerous slides with steep angles that are sure to thrill your little ones. While the playground is older, the equipment is by one of the top manufactures of playgrounds in the country. All safety surfaces are new, and the nearby water fountain worked. My kids had a blast and made new friends. We will definitely be coming back to try family activities like fishing and boat rentals.

There are several facilities available including pavilions, grills, disc golf volleyball, playgrounds, swimming, fishing, and even a drone course. There's a bike path, a nature path and a small animal farm where you can see a turkey, chickens, and maybe a variety of other animals. There are cabins (assuming for rent) and a spot for small RVs and trailers. The park includes several restrooms which are very clean. The disc golf course is extensive and likely a bit difficult as it meanders through several wooded areas and even one hole across the water. The park has several pavilions varying in size. Most have parking nearby, however several will require you to hoof your goods a little distance. This is a great place for a family or larger gathering. Two dollar entry fee. Dogs allowed on leash and there are several pet sanitary stations.

There are benches, shelters and tables and they recently installed rest rooms and a water filling station. Oh yeah, plenty of trash cans over the course so please don't litter. It was very informational and neat to see a little piece of history. Once we were done there we got on the Bridge walkway. We did not realize how long the Park Trail was, which is 17 miles! We decided we are going to rent some bikes when it gets a little warmer and try our hand at finishing the path. However, we did walk some of it though, and it was beautiful. Airport Lakes Park was developed with the help of a Florida Communities Trust grant. The proximity of the park to the Orlando Airport means you will see a lot of planes flying overhead. The Orlando Airport was once a part of Pinecastle Air Force Base during WWII so I imagine this park was too. This park is a welcome recreational amenity for both locals and the travelers passing through the area. Airport Lake Park exceeded what I was expecting. Near the parking area are restrooms and a playground. The real gem of the park is the back area where there is a nature trail and disc golf course that was being used by several groups of people during my visit. Unfortunately the nature boardwalk that takes you out to Lake Warren was closed due to storm damage. This would have been a really nice feature so I hope they plan to repair it. The park also has a lighted athletic field and soccer field and picnic pavilions with grills. I had a pleasant walk around the nature area. There are several hotels nearby so this would be a great spot to get exercise or take the kids to play. The disc golf course is already very popular with locals.

There are trails through the park, some paved and others dirt paths. The boardwalk out to view the lake was unfortunately closed due to storm damage. That was a disappointment. Lots of parking is available. Bathrooms are available here as well. I didn't need to use them so no idea how well they are cleaned or maintained. A nice park near some of the Orlando airport hotels.

This park is pretty large with ample free parking and lots of walking paths. They are known for their 18-hole disc golf courses and my husband has enjoyed playing here on several occasions. They also have paintball, a skate park, BMX tracks, a dog park, indoor gym with a fitness center, basketball courts, tennis courts, sand volleyball courts, playgrounds, picnic areas, and even a lakefront boat ramp with fishing access.
