If you're looking for a gym that has most of the offerings of squat racks, free weights, a turf area, studio and cardio equipment, this YouFit has all that. It's not a particularly nice gym. It's also set up super weird- if I could request one thing to change it's that you don't have to walk directly through the free weights area to get to the bathrooms. Don't love that. But like I said, this will get you the workout you want. There's nothing real fancy here but it's a decent-sized gym with quite a bit of stuff. I tried out their bodypump and small group recovery fitness classes, so this review is mainly about that. They were fun, and I'd go back if the gym wasn't a 20 minute drive for me! The bodypump class was a weight based class working the entire body. Everything is based on your comfort level, no judgement, so you use the weights that are appropriate for you. The music was energizing, and the instructor was very kind and sweet and came to say hi as it was my first time trying out her class. For the quick 30 minute recovery class, the trainer was patient, friendly, and showed us a variety of stretching exercises. There were only 3 people so we got a lot of attention. The gym was very busy in the evenings when I went, and I saw some people even waiting to use certain equipment. read more

On December 12, 2025, YouFit gave members just six days' notice that my location in Orlando was closing and that memberships would be automatically transferred to Planet Fitness unless we opted out. I canceled the same day, but received no confirmation and had to follow up multiple times. Despite canceling on time, and repeatedly, I was billed for an additional month on apps 12/16-17th. When I requested a refund, I was told that because I had the "option" to transfer gyms, no refund would be given. To make matters worse, on 12/22, I was told my membership could not be canceled because it had already been transferred--contradicting their own confirmation f my cancellation Extremely poor communication, improper billing, and unacceptable business practices. Sadly after over 2 years of being a member at youfit I had decided to cancel my membership which as been a nightmare to do . I preferred to go there usually early morning less crowded and close to me . But lately things are out of control the I won't dare taking a shower in the women's locker room it's disgusting, trash bins overloaded had mentioned to the new manager he usually comes around 10 am a few times during the past 2 weeks and nothing improved, staff knowledge about exercises equipment is basically zero to none how can you work at a gym without the at least basic knowledge ? when asking info about some machines the answer was I don't know much about that I'm a 62 years old lady and sometimes need to info and no one is willing to help they just preferred to be talking to each other staff is constantly changing for the worse . Dust all over if the other clients don't clean the staff won't do it if you asked questions they seem bother . The disinfectant bottles are always basically empty it needs to be close at least for a day or two and do some deep cleaning . For me it's sad to switch gyms but the what made me make the decision was trying to use the escalator and made a horrible sound like it was breaking . Just last week I dare asking an Spanish lady around her 50's blondish hair white why it was making that loud breaking noise and she was extremely rude to me because I interrupted her personal conversation 2 time t asked her about the weights that were all over the place her attitude towards me was unprofessional. As a client I was used to a better quality of staff, cleaner gym and equipment now it even smells weird and trust me it's not sweat , The gym had great potential too bad it went down the drain lately I wondered why after a few days people stop going but I finally realized it was a combination of things , they staff have the way of making you feel uncomfortable with they demeanor towards clients specially elder people this tall Spanish guy with curly hair a new manager has no customer experience this coming from me that worked 35 as a customer services director in a call center , working on a gym doesn't mean you need to be better than us and not help us the contrary look at it this way we pay your check because ours memberships you get pay isn't better to treat people with kindness ?? I come here like almost every day but I feel like the AC is not working or something because I've been sweating my ass off before i even start working out, even in the morning when it isn't very hot outside yet. Also the bathroom seems to be out of order a bit often. Other than that this gym isn't too expensive and it serves me for what i need it for. I don't appreciate how one of the workers was gaslighting me and making me feel like I have hallucinations or something. I came in and signed up and was not impressed with the gym but needed something local. I wad told by a coworker that a 24 hr fits reopened right down the street which is 100x better with more equipment and 2 floors for a cheap price. So I went in to the gym within 3 days to cancel my membership and was told it was cancelled back in nov 2024. Today I'm being told that my membership was cancelled and they have been taking money out and plan to till June of this year because I didn't sign the cancelation form which WAS NEVER PRESENTED TO ME WHEN I CAME BACK IN TO CANCEL. read more

My daughter joined this gym awhile ago and there were a lit of hidden fees and even when she did not renew, they found a way to get a few more dollars in fees from her. When my daughter was dealing with this, I did a google search and came up with a slew of info, In fact, one article I found was that the Florida Attorney General's office having 140 complaints against YouFit for things like YouFit not disclosing required commitments and fees until after members signed contracts. The article mentioned was from the Tallahassee Democrat and was published on March 15, 2016, if you would like to read it yourself. A more recent article was from the Miami New Times and was posted on April 20, 2020 at mentioned YouFit and that a member of a Tampa, Florida YouFit was being charged her monthly fee of $27.11 fee simply because YouFit sent her workout videos. The customer felt that wasn't right, she could get workout videos on YouTube for free. Then on June 11, 2020, MSN posted a story from Mesa, Arizona where a YouFit permanently closed the location a customer worked out at with no notice and was still charging the customer his $22.00 a month dues. These are just some of the problems. Most other gyms froze memberships because of Coronavirus closures, but YouFit continued to charge members. YouFit released a statement that stated "We desperately need our employees to have a job to return to, so this short term economic pinch doesn't become a long term issue." It further stated "To that end, all revenue collected will be used to pay our employees and cover the basic needs of the business. While we did temporarily lay off dome part-time and hourly employees, we retained virtually ALL salaried and full-time employees, at near full pay and with full benefits intact." Pretty words, but it sounds like the corporate headquarters and management team stayed getting paid and the front line workers were laid off. The article also mentioned that YouFit filed to dismiss a class action lawsuit that was filed here in Florida concerning the fees, saying "there is no provision in the agreement that requires YouFit to suspend membership dues in the event of a government shutdown or otherwise." This does not sound like the kind of company that I would want to get into a contractual obligation with. I guess my daughter was fortunate to get out and it only cost her some money. I spoke to the gym myself and found that they were arrogant and really could care less. They had a scam going and my daughter was paying, right or wrong. Again, I ask if that is the kind of business you want to sign a contract with? read more

I will never get a membership at YouFit Gyms ever again. They are the most scheming, money-hungry company I've ever had an experience with. They make it absolutely down-right impossible to cancel your membership. I wanted to cancel mine because I almost never use it, and I spend most of my time in Miami instead of Orlando where I technically live. I went in-person and said I wanted to cancel my membership. The guy said I had to call the phone number so he gave me the business card. I called the phone number and I told the person I wanted to cancel my membership. The lady on the phone said I had to email them. So I emailed them asking to cancel my membership yet again, and I was told I either have to provide proof of my address changing or a letter from a medical professional. Which is ridiculous, I shouldn't need to give them proof of anything, I should just be able to cancel my membership because I want to. They gave another option which is the "buy-out option" which is essentially just PAYING them to cancel your membership. As if I haven't already payed them hundreds of dollars because I can't cancel my damn membership. Anyway, NEVER get a membership at YouFit unless you want to go there for the rest of your days because they will make it hell for you when you finally decide to cancel it. read more

This is gym isn't anything fancy but the price is good for what you get. They advertise that the first month is free but they make you sign a contract saying that you will have to be there 3 months in till you can cancel your membership also there is a fee to sign up and cancel the membership. Overall I didn't really have anything problem with this gym except during the sign up process, I told the staff that I was looking to build muscle which lead to one of their personal trainer offering their services. This trainer said that "my membership is useless without a trainer" which kind of rubbed me the wrong way. Besides that, there was always cockroaches in the locker room. read more

I've been going to Youfit on Alafaya for over a year. I love it there! All the staff is so friendly, welcoming, and helpful. There are a variety of classes offered (yoga, Zumba, small group abs/glutes, etc.), plenty of space to work out on the turf, and lots of machines to choose from. My son came home with a flyer he got at his high school. $20 initial cost, $10/month. But banking information was required to sign up. I decided to come in. At the registration, no bank account is required, but after 3 months, there is an annual fee of $40. New members have one hour of free consultation. We came at our appointment. The person who received us asked my son basic questions then measured a few numbers before doing some balance tests. He then recommended a few programs, with another flat fee, from $60 to $150, plus another monthly fee, depending how many coaching sessions per month that you want. We ended with $60 flat fee, $90/month for 2 sessions a month. Not too bad, but I wished YouFit would be up front, especially to the youth members. In a few weeks, I can report back how things go. ABC Fitness and the customer service team will send you on a journey of frustration and anger to just cancel a simple membership. They do not care about you in the slightest. The manager at his specific location is exactly the same. In order to cancel they have you either call a number or email. Save your time and email them and be prepared to pay fees if you signed into a contract. Don't sign up over the website and don't fall for these marketing tactics that Youfit uses. Hidden fees and terrible management will be all you ever remember. I love this gym! This is home! The staff is super friendly, nice and they always have a smile on their face when you come in or leave. There are times when I have headphones on when I am leaving and they still make an effort to say goodbye or have a nice day (it makes my day). Or "have a great workout" when you come in. Now, I just lower my music so I can hear them :) I absolutely love it. I pay $20 per month and I can come in any day/time, and attend classes. I find the gym and thebathroom always clean. Very inexpensive gym to join. $10 a Month with a $40 annual fee which is activated after the 3rd month of use. The only downside of canceling this membership is the automatic payment of $10 charged on your account. There are 20 treadmills and they tend to fill up quickly during the days so be friendly to your neighbors! 2 stairmasters, 2 of the rowing machine where you pull the lever to work on your upper shoulders at your own pace and strength, 2 tricycle machines, and 2 bikes. During the day time to 9pm the machines are always in use. The best time to go is after 9pm. My favorite time is 10:30pm. I have my workout until closing. My favorite machines are the the hip adduction for inner and outer thigh. Customer Service: The staff are extremely friendly, attentive, and humorous. read more

I love this gym! A standard membership is $10 a month which is extremely affordable. My boyfriend has the $21.99 per month lime card which has more benefits and allows you to bring one guest each visit which is how I started going in the first place. The gym has a variety of machines and equipment you wouldn't normally find at the average gym and it's always super clean. They even have hydrogen peroxide spray so you can clean machines before/after you use them. The variety of group workout classes they offer are limited compared to other gyms but for a small gym like this one it isn't unusual. I sometimes see personal training sessions going on which is another cool thing they offer. All of the staff members are extremely friendly and easy to talk to. My Jazzercise world came to a crashing halt when we were informed early this year that the previous owners were moving/retiring. The other locations were just too far and inconvenient to justify the price point. I tried doing my own thing at home but I really needed to actually go somewhere and be motivated to work out, and so after some investigating I ended up here at Youfit. To my pleasant surprise, the majority of the girls that also did Jazzercise with me are also coming here and taking advantage of the awesome classes they offer, and I have to say; I leave here feeling every inch of my being after those classes, sweating, gasping, sore, but it's awesome, and I keep coming back for more. They have a wide variety of machines, and lifting equipment if that's more your thing, so they really do have something for everyone, oh and you can work out until midnight at this location. When you first start out they schedule you to do a health assessment with a trainer and I regret having done that because the trainer who talked to me in particular left me feeling deflated and depressed about myself. Personally, I have absolutely no interest in walking around in booty shorts and taking selfies of myself in a pathetic attempt to prove to everyone my self worth. I believe self worth has to start on the inside, and the trainer just seemed focused on "you want a big toned booty right?"...... I personally would skip that if you can, but there are people who feel that a trainer can help you meet your goals, just be prepared for the sales pitch "limited time offer" crap. The place is super clean, the showers as well, and for what you pay per month (you have two options, either $10 month to month or $19 which includes half off sports drinks/water, and unlimited classes) you really are getting your money's worth. This gym smells all the time it's pretty gross I tried going to crunch but their closed down and you would think that with what's going on now if you enforce a mask rule ONLY to walk in and walk out they might keep extras in case people genuinely forgot but this is NOT the case. I am making this review so that no one has to deal with the same thing. This gym is very unprofessional and unorganized. I went in back in December to cancel my membership and was told I just had to pay $40 as a buyout fee so I did and even asked her to send me a receipt. She told me to just email their customer service email and inform them that I'm canceling so I did. Come to find out they never canceled my membership and are still charging me. I spoke with the "manager" at the facility and first of all he was rude and talks down to you. He was absolutely no help and just stated that "well she didn't do a cancellation she just charged you for the following month" like why does your staff not know how to properly do their job? He then stated I shouldn't be charged moving forward but he sounded like he didn't even believe the words coming out of his mouth. Lastly prior to this issue I was canceling my membership because I did not the like environment and the vibes of this gym. I would give this place zero stars if I could. I don't blame the local employees, but rather the Youfit corporation itself. They are charging people membership fees when they can't even go to the gym because it's closed! There is no corporate call center so they put it all on the local employees to deal with this mess. Joined YouFit with a friend beginning of January. Was happy with the price per month, very friendly staff and also decided to do the introductory training for $120. Mike the director told me to do that and I wanted 2x a week, so do the 1x a week for first month and then with the 4 start ones it would equal 2x a week. Then he said to let him know and he'd switch it to 2x a week on the 2nd month, then I'd continue to the 3rd the same since it's a 3 month minimum. This would then change the seasons to $38 each vs $40. Anyways I did what Mike said, went in and he told me I'd have to do another contract putting me at a new 3 month minimum. That's not what I was told. So instead of being done end of March. I'd be done end of April. Said he was sorry, they changed things, he had no control (as the director of a facility??!). So I got his bosses name Dirrell and talked to him. He is attempting to work on it, but based on the way the company seems to work I'm sure he can't help. I asked for corporate and he said he's corporate...so even corporate has very little control. It's very sad because I enjoyed working with Dean my trainer 2x a week. I finally have gotten into a routine going with him a couple days and my friend also goes. Dean is great. Now the company unless the can fix this issue, that essentially equates to $32 over 2 months. They are going to lose my business for the training that equates to $304/month for 2 months and who knows maybe I would have continued but I am not signing a contract, I was a lied to, very unethical and poor customer service. Prices are affordable and the equipment is better than Planet Fitness in my opinion. This location is my favorite by far and its only because of the bigger space they have compared to the University location closer to my house. This location offers classes like Zumba, Cardio Kickboxing, Yoga and many more. The trainers are amazing and friendly at both locations that I attend and thats something that keeps me going because they remember me, they genuinely help me and get excited when I hit an accomplishment, what better motivation then that. Have been coming here for the past year since it opened. There has been steady growth ever since. It still does not get as busy as some other local gyms I had previously been a member of, but if you come on a Monday after normal working hours, expect to wait on a machine. As for the equipment, that is what sold us. The equipment is always in good condition (relatively still new). There are plenty of treadmills. And they have free weights! And I mean squat rack, not just a Smith machine, multiple benches, bars for whatever you desire (i.e. Deadlifts, etc). We like having those available. And the price starts at $10 a month. You get a clean gym, freedom to work out how you want, and the employees are always around and seem available. And they are quick to greet you when you come in, which is always nice. If I could give Youfit zero stars, I would. While the staff is pleasant and polite, they are poorly trained. I went in to get my membership cancelled and the staff did not know how to run a cancellation, I ended up having to talk to someone over the phone (ironically, they would not allow me to cancel unless I went to gym in person)... I had to travel over an hour to get to a location and was then told I'd have to pay a $10 fee, plus the next month and also the yearly membership. I have been a member for 2 months and I do not understand why I'd be responsible for a yearly fee. No manager was available and though I requested a call back, I had to call the gym 3 times to speak to a manager today. Youfit has no corporate phone number, and are only available via email. I do not understand why youfit would make me pay over $60 dollars on a plan that is not under an annual contract and for a membership I've had for less than three month. I finally decided to pay the fees to get the matter resolved, I told the manager to run and finalize the cancellation but was told that I need to either go back into a location or send a certified letter to cancel (thus incurring more charges and run the risk of having to pay additional monthly fees).
