Graston is a procedure of very deep soft tissue work. I had a long-planned vacation about 10 weeks out and was desperate to be ready for a lot of planned hiking. On my first appointment I could not walk down the street without significant pain and discomfort. Plantar fasciitis often takes months to get rid of, so I was prepared to make multiple visits. I was a bit skeptical regarding whether the Graston procedure would help me, but I was desperate to get ready for vacation. At my first visit with Dr Banks, he said they see lots of people with plantar fasciitis and have a very good success rate, so I was cautiously optimistic. I did a series of eight visits which consisted of the Graston technique followed up by a Laser treatment of the foot. I started to feel progress was being made and continued with eight more visits. At the end the pain was almost totally gone, and I was doing significant walking. I then went on vacation where I was able to walk up to 10 miles in a day. Over the course of my visits, I saw both Dr Banks and Dr Matock, who were both great. I would recommend giving Precision Sports a try.

It's now been two months and although still painful I'm able to start arm curls again and have about 90% mobility of my arm. I expect a full recovery in no time. Also, from what I understand, including the pictures she showed me, she was successful in reattaching it. Without being an expert on these things, it still seems to me that Dr. Timmerman is an experienced and skilled surgeon. That, of course, is by far and away the most important thing in looking for a surgeon. The reason I am not giving her an unreserved five star rating is the following: In our postoperative visit one week after the surgery, I felt Dr. Timmerman was very rushed. She showed me pictures of the shoulder and the surgery, which I appreciated, but kind of rushed through her explanation of what the pictures represent. As somebody who has zero knowledge or understanding of such things, I really did not understand it all and did not feel comfortable to ask her to repeat her explanations. Nor did she really take time to just sit down and say, "OK, how are you feeling? How is everything ?" I did not come away feeling clear on what I can and cannot do during the entire three months of my recovery period, nor on what the prognosis is for a fairly full recovery of the use of my shoulder.The whole appointment was maybe five minutes and I was asking her questions as she literally had 1 foot out the door of the room. Now I understand that doctors can be very busy, but I really do feel like they have to make time to create an atmosphere in which a patient can feel comfortable asking questions. After all, the recovery period is important. I am not sure how to say this: I appreciate the experience and apparent skill that Dr. Timmerman brings to the table. But as just some older guy who just wants to live out his remaining years being comfortable, active, and as productive as he can, I have to wonder if in the field of sports medicine us older people are sufficiently recognized for who we are.

Although all of the physical therapists seem very knowledgeable and professional, my boys have only worked with Robin Bousquet who is one of the best physical therapists I have ever met. Robin is incredibly knowledgeable in all aspects of pediatric physical therapy, but most importantly, she relates to kids in an incredible way. She knows how to motivate them to succeed and truly cares about them and their success. During my older son's treatment, he asked every week if it was time for his visit to see Robin. She made what could have been a stressful experience into something that he looked forward to. She motivated him to want to heal and because of her, he was successful. Fortunately, after four months of working with her, both of my boy's knee conditions have completely healed and they are on their way to participating in sports again full-time. I did not catch the name, but I had to call 3 times to finally get somewhat of a better idea why my patient was not being called to be taken care of. Her sub-specialty is sports medicine and sports related injuries. I was impressed at how extremely thorough Dr. Romero is during her examinations, making sure to completely evaluate patient injuries. It is especially impressive that she queries patient history, asking questions that other MDs have never previously asked. Not only does Dr. Romero ask questions, but she also listens attentively and responsively as patients respond. How refreshing that an esteemed MD emphasizes patient-centered care and values and respects patients in order to focus on understanding their individual needs. In the end, I appreciated that Dr. Romero referred me to an equally amazing colleague, who specialized in my particular issue. I was able to re-visit Dr. Romero's office for a follow up as well. Front desk staff are professional, both in-person and on the phone, and extremely efficient at checking in patients while balancing office duties. The office is at Entrance D, which is located toward the middle of the medical building, right next to the Urgent Care Suite E entrance. I had recently undergone back surgery and mentioned that my leg had been hurting. Even though I was there for my hip, Dr. Feng immediately took the concern seriously. He stopped what he was doing, performed a thorough examination of both of my legs, and told me he was concerned I might have blood clots. He sent me directly to the hospital for testing, where it was confirmed that I had blood clots in both legs. I am incredibly grateful for Dr. Feng's attentiveness, compassion, and professionalism. His willingness to listen caretully and go beyond the immediate reason for my visit made all the difference. I truly believe his actions may have saved my life, and I will always be thankful to have had him as my doctor.

Their focus is helping the workers compensation insurance companies by minimizing or outright lying about a workers diagnosis so they can get kick back from the insurance companies by writing up false minimizing reports to the insurance companies so that the insurance companies can escape paying the money needed for proper care and procedures for the patients/injured workers. "Dr" Warlock is a case in point. Here's the dirt: Some years ago I had a Polish friend who slipped and fell on a wet floor at work, landed on her butt and seriously ruptured 3 disks in her lower back. Her English was not too great and she was overwhelmed by the workers comp and healthcare systems. Because I also have herniated disks and successfully beat the worker compensation system, I oversaw her care and helped her every way I could. My friend had hurt her back about 3 months before this experience and she was in horrible acute pain and told me that Dr Warlock blew her off in her first appointment , so I went with her to her next appointment. Warlock walked into the room quite late and my friend introduced me as her companion and escort to make sure she didn't fall. He was instantly suspicious of me and his rudeness and abrasiveness was dripping from the walls. Again, in my presence he blew her off and told her that although her MRI indicated 3 ruptured (Herniated) disks, she didn't have any herniated disks. He told her to keep on with Physical Therapy. The films were up on the light board when he told her this, so I told the good dr, "Well Dr, if I may, I happen to be a veteran of back surgeries due to herniated discs. I have 2 of my own. L5/S1 has had 2 discectomys, and C7 is fused". Then I pointed to the film and showed him the 3 LARGE SIGNIFICANT bulges that were incredibly obvious in my friend's lower lumbar spine on the films. It was as if I thrown a bucket of cold water on him. He was overcome with hostility and told the both of us, "This appointment is over" then looked at me and told me "You need to leave". As we were walking out, my friend looked at me with dread and told me, "Can you help me find a lawyer?" So I found her a lawyer. But she was locked into Dr Warlock because he was the designated Dr that the Work Comp insurance company assigned her to, and there was nothing that the lawyer could do about it. As it all played out, my friend DID have 2 unsuccesfull bungled surgeries done by Dr Warlock and she has been living in really bad chronic pain ever since. Any questions? Here's a good suggestion: RUNNNNNN!!!!!
