This place is a nightmare for anyone with OCD. So disorganized, it was frightening. Everything is loaded into boxes that were NOT clearly labeled in any way shape or form. And I don't think any of them are by size except for men's jeans. So. . .if you are looking for a nice black 2XL shirt in a women's size, you could literally be there for a year before you dig one out of those disgusting filthy clothes bins. I really thought I was going to run into a cockroach. Now. . .don't even get me started on the cardboard box full of concert sweatshirts. If you want an AC/DC or Bob Marley sweatshirt in any size, you are set. I literally had to sort through 50 pieces of clothing and came up completely empty for any size over XL. Did I mention that they take cash only? Doesn't matter, I don't mind running to the ATM, but the woman was a complete snot to my daughter when she told her that I had to run to the ATM to get cash. What a piss poor attitude from what I assume is an owner? Now that's an assumption because she walked around like she owned the place with a scowl that would put off anyone. My daughter is a nice kind teenager, so for her to even mention that woman was rude and unwelcoming was out of character for my daughter. I knew she really insulted her They call themselves a vintage store. It's nothing but a dirty thrift store that overcharges for used clothing. There is no bargain here, that I know of. And not ONE pair of clean shoes. It was all nasty dirty dusty crap. read more

They have specific boxes of things like overalls, military garb, sequined , flannel shirts etc- everything in giant cardboard boxes stacked in a warehouse most very well worn. Don't like that there are no prices & owners decide what to charge when you walk up to pay; I know folks have to make a living, & happy to pay fair prices but with no pricing it feels like a rip off. They typically charge gentrified Brooklyn prices so unless I'm desperate for something I know they have I don't shop here. read more

Visited for the first time the other day and found some great finds! I would say most items are around $10 or less (?) whereas things like jackets are more around $15 ish. I went with a couple items and found everything that I was looking for! Definitely worth a visit but be ready to invest some time digging in the boxes! read more

I absolutely love this place. Once you get past the visuals- creepy warehouse lot and creeper inside- and the smells and extreme heat or cold, this place is amazing. I have found some of my favorite pieces here, and I always walk away with 4-6 items for less than $20. The clothing has huge variance is sizes, style, and era. I can spot an h&m skirt from last seas (true story!) next to a slip from the late 1800s. It's not a true vintage or thrift because I've seen band Ts from last year in bulk (PATD and John Lennon) but still worth the trip and experience. Tips: don't expect anything of the service. Haggle If you're up to it and know your limits Use the buddy system! I've never been approached in an odd or eerie way but you really never know. Use the changing room at your discretion... It's just a single fabric. See through sometimes. Don't be afraid to pull down boxes and stuff unless it explicitly says not to Don't buy crap. There's enough stock to find something that isn't ripped down all sides. Trust nothing. Spray down shoes and wash clothing before you think about wearing it. read more

I decided to get a ride out to Udelco from Long Island as I have heard a bit about the warehouse online, I spent a lot of time going through almost every box bending and lifting and all I could come across were some mid level pieces nothing major in the place, seems like top end end clothing are filtered out before hitting the warehouse. Don't go there thinking you are going to score grails, no credit cards taken and prices go by how they feel at the moment you could get a deal or you could feel like your being jerked. It's an ok place for gathering decent filler but for the work and travel you have to do I don't think I will be back there for a while. Great for local jersey people who want to fill there wardrobe but not great for pickers/reseller which is what the majority of their customers are. read more

This place used to be a hidden gem, but now it's overrun by hipster trash and high school girls (not necessarily mutually exclusive). As a result, prices have increased because parents are willing to pay $20 for a "vintage shirt" instead of $50 for a "modern designer shirt" for their kids, I presume. There is something to be said about opportunity costs here. When prices were low, you could justify the time spent digging around for something in good enough condition to be worth the purchase. But now with inflated prices, you're better off going somewhere else if you earn your own money and make more than $10/hour. Otherwise, you're actually paying more. read more

For those looking for the good stuff -- you know of what I speak -- it is there.... but you're gonna have to moisturize a palm or two if you want access...just sayin' ;) If you'd rather stick to the 'public' boxes the better items will generally be worth around $20, for those of you with designs of flipping this stuff online. Some could be worth more, but that's far from the norm from what I've seen. If you spent a lot of time in here I suppose you could amass a fair pile of these $20 items and make some decent money, depending on what the old man decides to charge ya. For those who just like vintage threads and aren't filthy dealers like me I think you'll have a good time digging around in here. There's a lot to see. I used to love rummaging through the vintage clothing section at Love Saves the Day in the East Village because you could find some great items at incredible prices, not jacked up like other vintage shops in Manhattan. I was upset when they closed. Whoever expected that I would find something bigger, better, with a HUGE selection right in my hometown? If you enjoy the thrill of discovery, this place is for you - it will take time to sort through the bins and boxes, but it is so worth it. The boxes are labeled and you just dig through until you find something that catches your eye.... everything from Hawaiian shirts to hunting jackets to "hippie dresses" (marked that way), purses, boots, concert tees, military surplus, denim and leather jackets, and every imaginable type clothing from the 60s-90s. It takes time, but it's worth it. I needed a quick 80s outfit for a work Halloween party and got the entire, authentic outfit (pants, top, jacket) for only $15. The only reason I'm not giving it 5 stars is that there is no kind of pricing system so you have to ask how much each item is... but the people working there are friendly and helpful so it's not a huge hassle. read more

BEST. VINTAGE. EVER. Yeah you have to dig through boxes, but it is more than worth it for all the vintage clothes you come out with for sooo cheap. I got two skirts, two dresses, and two sweaters for 38$. One of the dresses alone could have gone for 38 alone at some high faluting vintage store. And did I mention it's barely picked over? I love you and will dream of you, udelco. If I lived closer to you you'd furnish my entire wardrobe and I'd look like Clarissa Darling, but whatever, you rule. read more

I love it here! I've managed to stock my closet with '70s maxi dresses for about $8 each--all you need is time (it's a HUGE place) and a little antibacterial for your hands (it's a bit dusty there, as it's basically a giant warehouse in what looks to be a loading-dock area). It can be tough to get to what you want, as the shelves are tall and some of the boxes are heavy. But I had good luck getting the crew there to help me out. Everything is pretty accurately--if not fancily--labeled, with Sharpie-on-cardboard scribbles all over the place. Clothes, clothes, and more clothes, but not much in the way of accessories or jewelry. I think this would be a fabulous place for costume shopping though I go here for my "regular" clothes and have come out with quite a haul every time. Again, have some antibacterial on you because your hands will feel a bit grubby (but it's worth it) and bring your own bags if you're planning to go wild (last time I was there, the bearded guy bound my bundle of treasures with a tie--nice & neat and, hey, free tie). Also, I recommend having a clothing steamer at home because some of these things have been crumpled up in boxes for god knows how long and the wrinkles may not come out in the wash (which I always do immediately after a trip here, with some oxy-based detergent). Plus, a steamer is an extra step in sanitizing all kinds of stuff. read more

This place is a mess. They have stuff that's clearly unwashed in big boxes all over the store. I went with friends and didn't realize it was only cash so I had to put back the two items I had (an employee literally watch me put back the items). The entire shopping trip a very rude blonde woman followed me around the store no matter where I went. (I'm one of two non white people in the store). She literally followed us out of the store with her nasty dead ends and confronted my friend about me stealing although she watched me put the stuff back. Finally got to go there and was very pleasantly surprised!!! Extremely organized even if you have to go through some boxes...they are labeled and some things are hung up. A variety of vintage, thrift and never been worn items! Brought 3 of my daughters with me and 2 of them found a few things! Most things are priced about $5.00 but there was one item that was $7 and a tshirt that was $3, so the total was very reasonable! Staff is very nice and helpful! Bringing another daughter tomorrow that couldn't make the first visit...can't wait to see what she'll find! This is a place you could go to monthly, since they are bringing in more inventory on a regular basis! Great for time period films, parties, etc...Give yourself at least an hour to browse, it's worth it!! Oh....and check out the $5.00 LPs...that's a vinyl album for those of you that have ipods now!! read more

I give this place five stars!!! More if I could. My kids love it. We have bought vintage t-shirts, high waist jeans (LEVI), jean jackets, Army jackets & pants, dresses, shorts, hats, boots, sweaters, coats and handbags. All at really great prices. Most of the stuff is located in large marked boxes so you have to search for your bargains but the stock always changes and it is well worth it. read more

I really don't understand why there are so many bad reviews for this place! Don't go here if you expect to find something immediately. It takes time to find gems. I'm about to go for my second time-- stopping here as I travel up to New York. I found awesome stuff last time and I thought the prices were great for the vintage clothing. I'm not sure how I feel about this place. I don't like how the prices are not posted, just felt like my daughter was taken for a ride in being charged $30.00 for 2 old sweatshirts and a flannel. Amazing finds, if you can find them! Yes, you have to dig through a million boxes, but today I got a wool winter coat and three sweaters for $26! Bring a friend and tag team, it helps. Plus if you buy a lot, you'll get a better price, so pool your haul with your friend and save. Fun atmosphere, great clothes, good prices, always an adventure. Take a Claritin beforehand, wash your hands, and get some fresh air afterward and you'll be all good. read more

I'm glad a place like this is around, because it is cool and all, but the condition of a lot of the items is kinda rough. Vintage, I know but still. I'll wear those shredded levis over there but I can't do the gray sweatshirt with clam chowder stains all over it. I think it was clam chowder. I found some decent things though, it's worth a look. Either u love the place or you don't. Obviously I'm from the love it camp. I grew up with Udelco- (and the Ohm in Nanuet- anyone remember that?) first in Orangeburg later in Nyack. German military wear and accessories were big in the late 70's early 80s- Udelco was where to get this stuff. Ditto old jeans, a faded silk kimono, Hawaiian, western or bowling shirts and the odd surprise! Cheaper than the army/navy stores and much more fun. Mark still owns it- his brother and mother have passed on I have heard. I am now a costume designer and recent finds were a ball gown $10 for Cinderella in "into the woods", gold "band uniform" cummerbunds- $5-used to make regal wear (prince Eric- little mermaid, party guest in "Christmas carol". Leiderhosen! $10 for Augustus gloop in Wonka! 60's dresses for Hairspray $8 each! Cheaper than renting costumes (typically $20-40 for 2 week rental). I also have 3 teenage daughters- we were just there last week and scooped up 3 denim jackets, 2 pairs of overalls, and a bunch of skirts and dresses for under $100 - if you don't find rummaging through dusty bins for hours to be fun- this place is not for you! Go to Buffalo exchange- much cleaner and more organized. but my heart will always belong to Udelco! read more
